Definitions: Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    Go Survivor!!

  • Ted Craig

I still think The Neighbors will get renewed. It was an uphill battle for the show on a night when everything else was a rerun.

  • Noel

Great reapeat for Arrow! Doing better than new episodes of other cw shows.

  • Cougar Town Forever

In the least surprising development of the day, The Neighbors drops when surrounded by repeats. I do not understand what ABC is doing with its scheduling this season.

  • r0ckmypants

Survivor was insane last night. One of the most intense episodes of the past several seasons.

And I actually watched The Neighbors since Alan Menken wrote some songs for it. Such a stupid show, though I can see why families may enjoy it.

  • Ash

Idol’s ratings have been dipping for weeks now.

  • JacobYates

Neighbors did good considering it was the only new thing on ABCs schedule that night.

  • Paul P

CSI will definately be renewed – it repeats better than a lot of CBS’s
    new original air dramas.

  • samurai99

Wow, that is a lot of reruns.

  • AdamBlakeShakiraUsher

American Idol was terrible last night!

Survivor, stop bringing back loser contestants like the Hantz’s already!!!!!

Brandon pretty much proved he is a very unstable player, further, he thinks far to much of himself “I’m a Hantz” should be “I’m a mess”

  • Jon

Why Run a new episode of the neighbors among all repeats of your other three comedies. I assumed it was a repeat as obviously most of America did.

  • Cougar Town Forever

Yikes, the only thing that makes new episodes of Whitney look good are repeats of Whitney.

Who watches this show? It’s one thing to have a show with a small but loyal audience (a la Community or Grimm or I guess half the stuff on the CW). But Whitney doesn’t have many veiwers AND no one is passionate about the show.

  • Rickster

Oh NBC … What happened in the last decade???? You’ve almost secured oblivion :(

  • Ted Craig

It will be interesting to see the cable news numbers later today.

  • gerry

boring day, but good repeating on arrow.

  • forg

Oh ABC the one The Neighbors episode where even the harshest critics (like Alan Sepinwall who hated the pilot and now a wrote a glowing of the episode) loved and you waste it on a night of repeats :(

  • BigBrotherFan

WHITNEY WILL INDEED get a third season at this rate. Good because I happen to like her!

  • Ted Craig

Well, The Jay Leno Show, for one.

  • Clarke

Scary to see The Neighbors that low. It has been holding up well, but ABC is really putting the show to test by airing it on a repeat night. I really hope the show can survive.
