You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.

Definitions: Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

The Neighbors is coming around with critics. It’ll get a second season and a big push over the summer, a la The Middle after season one.

  • TOM

    The Neighbors =(

  • PHIL

Networks should just air shows to the completion and not all of these repeats, it kills a show momentum

  • Jon

@ CTF…..Whitney is an average sitcom at best. I can take it or leave it. I’ve watched a grand total of one episode this year. I don’t have it on my list of shows to dvr, as there are way too many better options. It only got renewed because they needed filler. You can’t cancel everything, even though theoretically with the crappy ratings, you could justify wiping NBC’s sitcom slate fresh and just start over.

  • Dan S

Whitney can’t even catch The Middle rerun last night in demo or viewers. I’d be shocked if NBC were to even consider renewing Whitney as spackle next season. Heck even The Neighbors did better in a sea of reruns so that show gets a pass. Poor Nasville doesn’t repeat well but should likely see a 2nd season all the same.

  • DenverDean

CSI (R) gets a 1.7 when last new episode two weeks ago received a 1.9 (Duck Dynasty premier). The 1.7 is better than new Golden Boy. I see CBS moving CSI to Tuesday 10/9 and sliding in NCIS – Red at 9/8. LA moves to Wed 9/8 and CM to 10. It’s far too early to move CSI to Friday. Still one of top 2 CBS 10 p.m. performers.

  • Alex

Impressive SVU repeats as well. He will not be canceled.

  • Jon

@ Phil….I agree. I’d rather see tv season run from like October-March, have a short 13 week spring season, and then summer repeats.

  • John A

The Neighbours is dead but thats not surprising.

  • Uofmguy423

Great episode of the Neighbors. I really hope it is renewed…and I was one of the haters that didn’t even want to watch the pilot.

  • charmedcraft

I love The Neighbors, it reminds me of Third Rock From the Sun.
I also like Suburgutory except for Tessa; she is annoying. The rest of the cast are great; they are all nuts.

Great repeat numbers for CW again.

  • Grey

Usage down because of Daylight Savings or because of all the freak’n repeats – or both?

  • Jon

@ Dan…..showing a Nashville repeat seems silly to me, they are better off plugging in a news magazine show during those times.

  • John A

You would think Idol and Survivor would go up a bit facing mostly repeats.

  • Just Desserts

The Neighbors is surely getting renewed no matter what.

It only has 2 episodes left and will get the “pity renewal” since Malibu Country is its only competition.

  • Rebecca

Hopefully the networks consider reruns surrounding new episodes on the same night when looking at renewal/cancel prospects of a show. It’s too bad Neighbors has to suffer like that (and not just last night)…many casual viewers turn on the TV, see an episode is a rerun and assume the rest of the night’s shows are reruns on that same channel. All I watched was Neighbors and Psych. Well, I saw Whitney too but it’s barely worth mentioning. Filler show, not fantastic comedy.

  • Jon

@ Charmed…I couldn’t disagree with you more about Tessa. Jane Levy has a huge future in the business. She is sharp, witty, and an all around good actress. The show would have never become a hit without her. You will continue to see her get more and more movie roles as time goes on as well.

  • Rob R

Amazing how reliable “Survivor” is………..look at it standing face to face with American Idol. I still love Idol and there is some real talent on that show this year.

  • BigBrotherFan

ABC needs to cancel RED WIDOW and ship some more NASHVILLE repeats Sunday @10pm. People need to catch up!

  • Just Desserts

    @Rebecca

Well, we could expect The Neighbors to rise next week so that could jut be its Silver Lining.:)
