It looks like the Veronica Mars Kickstarter project that began just yesterday has been a rousing success.  Could a Chuck movie now be a possibility? Star Zachary Levi has apparently been watching the Veronica Mars Kickstarter saga unfold and sent out this cryptic tweet yesterday....

So would you fund a Chuck movie? Is it even a viable idea? Cast your vote below and tell us what other canceled TV shows you would plunk $10 down to see resurrected on the big screen in the comments!

Oh Chuck! How TBTN misses your presence ;)

  • John_M

Veronica Mars was cancelled, in the middle, Chuck was given an ending, they wrote an ending, a movie would not be the same motivation and I don’t think there’s the rabid audience.

I think Firefly would have the next best shot except that the budget for a space film is just huge

  • Brandon

    They made a Firefly movie…

  • AJ

Chuck doesn’t need a movie. Shows that need a proper ending need movies. Chuck got a final season

  • John_M

    @Bradon

Gee – and no movie has ever had a sequel huh?

The box office potential, right now, with Joss Whedon being the king of the world for a second firefly dwarfs that of a chuck movie.

Zach Levi is only pimping this because he can’t get work

  • FLOP CW

    Charmed , BTVS , TSCC , RINGER , Dollhouse , Heroes , ..

  • were123

YES! And a Fringe movie as well!

  • JohnQ

I voted ‘Absolutely!’ xd, but we all know that Veronica Mars is an exception.

To bring Chuck back Levi willing & strong fans support are not enough. Other cast members have to want it, original showrunners and producers have to want it, Warner Bros. has to want it. And at this very moment almost no one of them want it. The script for Veronica Mars movie was ready since years ago, no one has ever really considered a Chuck movie so far.

So, we all love Chuck and we’ll never forget it, but we have to be realistic.

Just fyi, a new Firefly movie or revival would not work because Fox won’t release the rights. Simple as that. Even if they had a $1 billion, they couldn’t do it if Fox won’t release the rights.

  • Brian

Zachary Levi does not need work. He’s going to be in Thor 2 later this year which will be a blockbuster.

While we’re listing shows I’d like to see Jericho return.

  • peter

How about a Deadwood movie? That’s one great show that didn’t really have an ending. HBO promised us a movie and then they didn’t do it.

  • obisgirl

Honestly, I could care less about either. Heroes never got a proper wrap up. That’s what I want to see.

  • Julia

Am I the only one who thinks WB is looking at this and saying, “We can never ever ever promise this sort of thing again!” At least until after VM movie is released and they see if they are actually able to recoup what they end up putting in.

  • JohnQ

Heroes! Yeah, someone tweet to Tim Kring! Heroes would be nice since has not ending at all.

  • Scott

John_m don’t know what you are talking about since he is in Thor 2

  • SR

@John_M – Obviously, You Have No Idea What You’re Rambling About. 1st, The Series Finale Of Chuck Left A Very Open Possibility Of A Movie. There Is A Huge Fanbase For The Show, And Said Fanbase Is Highly Active On Social Media, And They Are Ready To Contribute. 2nd, Zac Levi Just Finished Filming Thor 2, And He Has His Company “The Nerd Machine” Making More Revenue Than You Could Ever Dream Of Making. Check Your Facts, Before You Post Foolish Commments.

    Heroes need a movie!!!

  • The End

Personally I would like to see Stargate brought back in one way or another. Though Once Upon a Time is currently occupying several former Stargate stages at The Bridge(Bridge Studios).

From what I understand, Stargate would only ever come back as a reboot from MGM, but even so, it doesn’t hurt to dream.

  • SR

@AJ Yes, Chuck Got A Final Season. But If You Had Bothered To Watch It, You Would Know That The Ending Was Less Than Satisfactory. You Also Need To Check Your Facts.

  • Andoni

A Heroes movie would be a better option, knowing how it “ended” and how NBC promised us some closure…
