Don’t understand why all of these repeats are being aired right now, but Nashville is still struggling. This would be a great time to get new viewers interested in the show, but it ain’t happening. Next week both it and CF have new episodes, but seems like CF has done better this season.
I still don’t get the “MC gets lower numbers against less competition, therefore it should beat out The Neighbors” logic.
@Melanie

The season is 35 weeks long, most shows only have 22-24 episodes.
Nashville is pathetic
glad survivor went up…that episode was awesome!
Thank God tonight has the usual shows on. This week – and last week – with nothing but repeats has been like being on a desert island with no entertainment…
Looking forward to seeing how BATB does returning after a significant hiatus…I predict it will be seriously down in ratings.
Nashville doesn’t return until the March 27th. It will be new 3/27, 4/3, & 4/10.
Awful! Idol beat DD!
@Raykov
“At this time last year Survivor pulled low 2s – for a show that old it still has a fan-base
”
Uh, no. First 5 episodes this spring: 2.4, 2.4, 2.6, 2.6, 2.7
Last spring: 3.1, 2.8, 2.9, 3.2, 3.0
Yes, it still has a fan base, but no need to make up numbers.
@rob60990
What are you talking about? Nashville was a REPEAT and SCANDAL was repeating at .9′s a few episodes and thats ABC’s baby so NASHVILLE is just fine. It’s a serial show of course it is going to repeat badly and ABC has not been doing it any favors, as of recent.

how is it that people go on about HOW AMAZING SURVIVOR has done but are so fast to call AMERICAN IDOLS ratings a dud!? helloooooooo????? They are really only 2-years apart in age. Get real!!
karin
NASHVILLE is one of the best TV SHOWS on air right now…I’m sure you’re some 60-year-old broad behind a computer watching her 10th time knocked up trailer park daughters 15 kids and are bitter towards girls like Haydan or heck, even CONNIE! STUFF IT!
The Neighbors should be moved to Fridays. And if the network executives would stop and think for a minute they should do what the CW did this season. What til the first or second week of October to start their season premieres this way there is less reruns throughout the season, thus keeping the ratings higher.
@Ted Craig
” I still don’t get the “MC gets lower numbers against less competition, therefore it should beat out The Neighbors” logic.”
Neighbors just scored a 1.4 on Wed. MC already scores a 1.3 on a low viewer night. Would Neighbors do the same? Though neighbors gets to 1.7-1.8 when sandwiched between much higher rated new airings of MF/Middle, those numbers would not translate to Fridays. Last nights 1.4 pretty much shows that. Neighbors would probably score a .9-1.2 on Fridays with far fewer viewers than MC. Also, Neighbors would not enjoy the ad dollars they get now promo wise and the show does not seem like a self starter compared to LMS/MC.
@ Marc – I agree MC’s 1.3 would probably be a 1.5 or 1.6 on Wednesdays while Neighbors probably wouldn’t get a 1.3 or 1.4 on a Friday or 6 million viewers like MC gets.
@BigBrotherFan People go on about Idol because its dip has been more rapid and Survivor is in its 26th season while Idol is in its 12th. Not to mention the fact that Survivor’s budget is no where near Idol’s. The salary for all of the judges on Idol is probably more than the entire budget needed for Survivor.
@ Cory – Survivor doubles up its seasons so its actually been out like only 2 years longer than Idol. Survivor had 51 million viewers and Idol highest was like 41 million so the fall has been harder for Survivor as Idol is still above 10 million and 3.0s in the demo.
Why is everyone moving the neighbors to Friday? I think they should leave that wed comedy block as is. It’s really the best 2 hour sitcom block on tv, and why mess with it? They should have left Happy Endings there as well, and it might have saved that show from the bear.
@Cory
Hey I like both shows but I’m not buying into the “season” excuse. Survivor was in 2000 idol in 2002 pretty close! So they are both standing against the test of time! Plus idol is in a heavily saturated market and it relies heavily on the judges as the face of the show and they are changing almost every season! Survivor was likely higher in season 2 than idol any season! Now it’s doing mid 2′s. If that’s not a massive drop I don’t know what is!
@rob60990
Whitney has a horrible job getting ratings full stop it. It’s new Episode is getting beaten by repeats of other shows. If for nothing else this should have been the reason it’s cancelled.
All I can say is CSI strong even with a repeat.
