lets not bash on othere shows just be happy your shows are stillo on

  • Streaking Heat

Yeah I agree I don’t like this show bashing, all of the soaps are in the same bubble we should be rooting for all of them even if we don’t like them or follow them. This turn around for the whole daytime genre not just the soaps has been awesome to see this year after so many years of seeing yearly declines.

Since I’m taking some time off of work, I tuned into B and B today. It seems like it IS in a good place. Still have the Brooke and Taylor rivalry, and the show is still centered around F Creations. I was impressed. It just goes to show you that when a show is stable and uses characters that the audience WANTS to watch, the ratings will be there.

The team at Y and R is smart to focus on Victor and Nikki, and Jack still after 30 years. They are having a great 40th Anniversary month.

  • Streaking Heat

The balance on Y&R is great to see that’s been a problem for a while for them. I can’t believe were actually seeing Lauren and Michael in an actual storyline along with Niel. I’m also glad Dylan wasn’t overexposed when he first got on there they gradually brought him and now he’s got a fling going on with Chelsea. Even the kids have good storylines right now, that’s how it used to be on this show during the greatness days.

I think all of the soaps have brought balance back to their soaps, B&B was triangle heavy up until the last 2-3 weeks once Liam finally made a decision.

  • Streaking Heat

While I’m running my mouth right now I wanted to bring up how good it feels to finally see AMC and OLTL back in production as the new casts look really good. I think these two shows are going to turn out to be good especially AMC which really needed a complete overall upgrade in quality. We’ll see how it goes on April 29th.

    @ PatF

That’s the one thing about B&B they’ve always had something that the other soaps don’t have and that’s a go to storyline to go to. I know people hate it b/c I hate but the Hope-Liam-Steffy triangle for younger characters actually is what brought B&B from hell in 2011 they built up like the Brooke and Taylor rivalry. Then there’s the other storylines like Rick/Maya/Caroline that’s pretty good. B&B is probably the most comfortable its been in years.

    Congrats B&B!

Loving DOOL. I think Nick is a goner and the story will turn into a great Whodunnit. Love the actor and Nick is super-creepy, in a good way. But I think it’s a no-brainer.

Y&R has really improved lately, IMO. I caught a bit of Victor & Nikki’s wedding today and MTS was simply gorgeous and glowing. It was nice to actually see so many people in attendance at the wedding too. I hate how budget cuts on the soaps over the years have affected characters attending major events such as weddings, funerals, etc. I’m loving the 40th anniversary celebration too.

GH, well I’m just loving it! I can’t get enough of The Soup poking fun at the Pickle-Lila storyline and would love to see the actors in that storyline appear on The Soup to promote GH’s big 5-0. Please get on that ABC. Seize the opportunity. I’m sure The Soup would be thrilled to honor GH’s anniversary and you could use the exposure.

    Lovin’ the soaps!

  • James Michael

Okay, two days in a row of watching Y&R. Loving the intro’s. I am a little more convinced they are on the right track. I will admit to feeling kinda bored up until the wedding and then it became classic Y&R. For me, the last 15 minutes made the entire show worthwile. The way it ended makes me want to see tomorrow. What happened to Lauren and Michael? Her looks everytime Lance Prentiss, (okay Eric Forrester but he still Lance and must be why he was there)mentioned love were great. This episode reminded me more of the old Bill Bell days than any I’ve seen since he died and his writing team slowly phased out.

So Friday and today I got it. This show yelled at us, tune in tomorrow.

  • Kayla Rae

I agree with you, Newt, that Days is definitely the best of all the soaps. So glad they are doing better ratings-wise as well. I cannot get enough of DOOL!

  • Kayla Rae

I couldn’t agree with you more, Cath. Enough with all the lame Pickle Lilah storyline on GH already. So silly and a true bore.

And, cab, you are right on the mark regarding the outstanding way that DOOL has handled the Will/Sonny love story. Beautifully written and superbly acted!

I agree with those of you who see a great Whodunnit plot coming our way on Days involving slimy Nick. This will be good! Go Days!

  • David

I am guessing the people complaining about the pickle lila storyline don’t know the history of GH> Pickle Lila is what saved ELQ back in the 1980s and was a big story line. With the 50th anniversary they are paying homage to that. That is just one of many layers of the AJ storyline. So much going on with GH as the 50th approaches. Loving it
