Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

So America would rather watch college basketball than their favorite tv show? Makes no sense why these shows have to be pre-empted for this. I could understand the NBA but college? :(

  • Anthony Parello (AP076)

I believe the once director of 24: The Movie announced the project as dead the other day.

  • DW

because collage is better than the NBA and its march madness next week. its the end of the season. major wagering is going on.

  • Ash

College better than NBA? But your subject to your own opinion so I won’t comment. But assuming most of the audience is related to the player, there is not a large majority that have a (or related to) a college basketball player and most likely, they would be at the game anyway.

OK, MORONS! Let’s DESTROY this “Nikita adjusts down every week” BULLCRAP!

I just went back and looked at EVERY entry here for Friday, overnights and finals.

Nikita has adjusted down just TWICE in 13 episodes! TWICE! Both times from a .4 to a .3,

So can the Nikita haters just SHUT UP NOW? Oh, probably not – since they’re just trolling.

    Here’s the data:

    10/19 .3 No Adjustment
    10/27 .2 No Adjustment
    11/03 .4 Adjusted Down to .3
    11/10 .3 No Adjustment

Roswell: “Nikita will adjust down, just like it does nearly every week… Fans should really get a clue.

No, YOU should get a clue! Read the data I posted above. Then STFU!

  • Richard Steven Hack

John A: “Nikita will adjust down im sure.”

No, you’re NOT “sure”. You may be right this week or not. You are NOT right when you constantly assert that Nikita adjusts down frequently. So do try to STFU until you see actual numbers.

  • Richard Steven Hack

Danimals: “Worried that Nikita will adjust down”

Don’t be. It might but it’s hit .5 before – twice – without adjusting down.

  • Richard Steven Hack

Nikki: “But it will be adjusted down just like it is every week.”

It is NOT adjusted down every week. I just proved that. So stuff your ignorant Nikita hater attitude and wait for the final numbers.

  • Richard Steven Hack

david: “good to see Nikita up but, i am thinking it will go down to a .4.”

It might. It even be probable since allegedly there were pre-emptions in some places. We’ll see. Wait for the finals. Only if it goes down two-tenths will there be a problem. The show crawled up from November to the start of February, then went down for two episodes. The episodes have been getting better, and the number of viewers has been steadily increasing, so I suspect that will result in better demos or at least stable demos at some point as the finale nears.

  • Richard Steven Hack

Kat: “Oh, by the way, for everyone who, every week, says Nikita will adjust down “like always” – Nikita has been adjusted down twice this season. That’s it. 2 out of 13 episodes we have finals for.”

THANK YOU! Someone who also did the grunt work to determine the facts, rather than spewing nonsense. Well done.

  • John A

@RSH Ok It dont adjust down in the demo everyweek but Nikita does adjust down in viewers everyweek.

  • Richard Steven Hack

Cass: “@Nikki, please get your facts straight. Nikita does not adjust down every week. It’s remained the same more often than it’s adjusted down. With that said, could it adjust down this week? Certainly! March Madness pre-emptions could be the culprit.”

THANK YOU! Someone else who realizes this “meme” of adjusting down is total BS.

  • BigBrotherFan

agh What is honestly with the NIKITA hate on here…I BET ALL OF YOU who hate the show likely never even saw an episode?

  • TJ

Didn’t NBC already try Grimm on Thursdays earlier in the season, and didn’t it get pretty much the same ratings it’s getting on Friday? It also got a few Monday airings.

  • Kavyn

Last night’s episode of Nikita was great! Definitely my favourite of the season. The episode flowed very nicely leading up to exactly what Amanda said it would between Nikita/Alex. It looks like we’re going to have Alex and Sean go against what Nikita wants, and with Ryan also deviating from what Nikita wants it’s setting up the following episodes nicely (maybe preparing for season 4 with Team Ryan vs. Team Nikita vs. Team Alex).

I’m wondering if Amanda will survive the season. If her only goal is to make Nikita suffer, then I think she’ll end up dying this season. But if her goal is to get everyone against Nikita, she might be setting herself up for control again while making sure Nikita is all alone in her agenda. I’m not really sure where the show’s heading and that’s what I like about it so far.

The 0.5 rating is great but I do think it will drop to a 0.4. I hope it doesn’t, but I think it will. Is the Justin Timberlake thing happening next week? I really don’t understand the CW’s reason for airing it on Friday night when Monday’s clearly a bigger disaster (and considering TCD is ending a lot earlier than everything else, why not put it there).

  • Richard Steven Hack

Mark Wood: “For example, if this week’s numbers hold it will be the third time Nikita has hit a .5, this season. Even factoring a Friday factor of 20% that only adjusts to a .6. That is sti below the scripted average for the CW.”

“I think most people would say any other show scored those levels it would ‘t be good and very likely call it bad.”

“And it certainly doesn’t bode we’ll for next years chances, where its broadcast numbers will actual play a significant role in its renewal chances.”

And now you’re an idiot. Nikita is in SEASON THREE. The ONLY reason it got season three is due to syndication. Next season there will be next to zero chance it gets a season five because it DOES NOT NEED ONE. If it DID get a season five like Fringe did, it will only be because WB wants more episodes for to achieve full 100 episode syndication.

In either case, the RATINGS are IRRELEVANT, both for this season AND next season. As long as WB gives the show to the CW for a fee that makes the show either profitable or break even, and as long as the CW has no show to replace it with on Fridays, Nikita will be given another season – until it has 88 episodes. Then it’s probably done.

  • Richard Steven Hack

thensnowleopard: “They could both drop in the finals (and it’s funny how quiet those crowing over a Nikita overnight get when the finals come out).”

And they could both NOT drop. Wait for the final numbers.

It’s NOT funny how you show up every week with a Nikita-bashing TROLL comment. You’re another one of these clowns who think a snarky remark is somehow enlightening for the readers of this site.

The reality is Nikita is a lock for season four. So suck it!

  • Richard Steven Hack

snowleopard: ” that’s assuming this one holds, because they often don’t)”

    Missed that comment.

NO THEY DO NOT. Again with the nonsense!

  • Richard Steven Hack

John A: “@RSH Ok It dont adjust down in the demo everyweek but Nikita does adjust down in viewers everyweek.”

You are a complete idiot. Nikita has been INCREASING IN VIEWERS ALL SEASON (with some fluctuation). You get NAILED on demo adjustments down, so now you jump to VIEWER adjustments? You’re absolutely pathetic.
