Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Hate to say this about NIKITA but it will adjust down. :/
The CW was preempted last night in my area. Stupid college basketball.
NIKITA (8pm), B&TB (5pm), Cult (9pm), and TVD (4pm) are airing today Saturday.

Malibu Country needs to get renew. Great comedy show. Should had air after Modern Family or before it.

  • Richard Steven Hack

When the finals come in Monday or Tuesday, if Nikita adjusts down, I’ll have to repeat all this stuff for the retarded trolls who will continue to spew their nonsense like a mantra.

  • Richard Steven Hack

Bern: It might very well adjust down. IF your area was enough to affect the national ratings, that is. That’s something people forget.

The question is will it adjust down to a .3 or a .4 if it does adjust down? A .3 would be consistent with recent ratings after the February hiatus. A .4 would indicate it’s gaining strength again going into the finale, as it did last fall. There’s also the question of DST impact which may grow over the next month as the weather gets better.

  • John A

I dont mean week to week. I just mean Preliminary to Final adjustments. Jeez take a chill pill.

  • Bern

    @Richard Steven Hack
Yup, just wait and see. Hopefully it stays at .05
Yes, these people are getting annoying with the Nikita hate. If you don’t watch it just don’t say anything. Don’t know why they waste their time being hateful on other people shows. Maybe they don’t have no life?? lol

By now they should know Nikita is getting the 88 episodes/4th season. They just need to movie along and deal with it.

  • Bern

Was reading zap2it TV ratings (1.4 million, 0.9/2) while tvbythenumbers (1.4 million, 0.5/2)

Wondering why the 18-49 Rating is different but has the same viewers?

  • Richard Steven Hack

John A: “I dont mean week to week. I just mean Preliminary to Final adjustments. Jeez take a chill pill.”

I know what you meant. And it’s completely pathetic that you have to go there after you got NAILED SPEWING BULLCRAP about the the weekly adjustments down in the demo.

We get it. You don’t like Nikita. You like trolling the Nikita fans every week. You’re like Max with Revenge. We get it.

    Go away.

  • Richard Steven Hack

I mean, really, “adjusted down in VIEWERS”? Seriously? Who the hell cares? That’s the most pathetic cop-out I’ve read on any site since I don’t know when.

  • John A

Lol if Nikita adjusted up from Preliminary to finals you would point that out. Nikita fan boys are so sensitive its hilarious.

  • Richard Steven Hack

Bern: Agree completely. I don’t hate on ANY shows – just their supporters when they get stupid about hating other shows because their own shows aren’t doing well or when they are delusional about their shows and then they get mean because of that and spew lies about their shows and other shows. I call ’em like I see ’em.

I don’t hate TCD, for example. I don’t watch it, I don’t care about it. But when someone comes on here and says it’s a lock for renewal because it’s “good on Mondays” when the show is doing a season average of .5 halfway through its first season…well, I can only tolerate so much stupidity. :-)

  • Ultima

So America would rather watch college basketball than their favorite tv show? Makes no sense why these shows have to be pre-empted for this.

Sure it does. Even though some of the games are available nationally on the ESPN networks, the syndicationed networks (Raycom for the ACC and the SEC Network for the SEC) have the rights to the games in their primary markets.

This usually doesn’t matter most of the time, because they typically air games (football/basketball) during daytime hours on the weekend. However, during basketball conference tournament week, they also carry games during primetime on Thursday and Friday.

And yes, people would rather watch college basketball than regular network programming. It’s the #2 sport (behind the NFL) in terms of postseason advertising revenue.

  • Ultima

    *syndicationed = syndicated

    I can spell, really! ;)

  • Richard Steven Hack

John A: “Lol if Nikita adjusted up from Preliminary to finals you would point that out. Nikita fan boys are so sensitive its hilarious.”

No, stupid. Because I know that viewer totals are meaningless for renewal. I note that Nikita viewers are increasing this season because that might – or might not – mean an improvement in the demo at some point. After all, if there are no viewers, there is no demo to measure. :-)

But YOU were NEVER talking about dropping in viewers. That’s a complete LIE to bail yourself out of being an IDIOT for saying Nikita adjusts down every week.

YOU are the pathetic Nikita bashing troll and you got CAUGHT in it.

So you got NAILED SPEWING BULLCRAP. And if you ever mention it again, I’ll nail you again in the thread.

I appear here most evenings! :-)

  • John A

Look I never said Nikita adjusts down In the Demo Everyweek. I know it dont. All i said is adjusts down in viewers from Preliminary to Finals. I did say it might adjust down in the demo not 100% will. Ok i will admit its a silly to mock total viewers as its irrelavant.

  • rob60990

“Was reading zap2it TV ratings (1.4 million, 0.9/2) while tvbythenumbers (1.4 million, 0.5/2)”

zap2it posts the Household ratings, not the 18-49 demo.

  • Ryan

    Nikita SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO

  • Linus

GO BLUE BLOODS! Looks like 5-0 is moving to Fridays.

I think maybe Cult can catch on if The CW stays patient with it. It’s a real different type of show than from anything they’ve ever aired in the past and the show itself is innovative and new not sure if viewers are ready for a show like this just yet but its a really good option behind Nikita. I think The CW should just keep it and see if it grows at all next year and if it doesn’t cancel it.

LMS and MC have gotten a lot better as shows especially MC which was a bit terrible earlier in the season I really like the identity its created the last few episodes. I wish ABC keeps them together or at least in the same block next season.

  • Chris

I don’t get how/why everyone in here hates nikita so much! I will admit it, it has 2 or 3 boring episodes per season, but which series doesn’t? But overall it is great, intense, suspenseful.

  • Richard Steven Hack

John A: “Look I never said Nikita adjusts down In the Demo Everyweek.

BULLCRAP! Every week you make an off hand remark that Nikita is “likely to adjust down lol” or some such troll bait.

Everyone knows you meant the demo. You NEVER said ANYTHING about VIEWERS.

You were wrong and now you’re trying to cover your butt by saying you meant viewers when everyone full knows NO ONE cares about viewer totals. So now you’re just LYING.

“Ok i will admit its a silly to mock total viewers as its irrelavant.”

Oh, gee, I’m overwhelmed by your generosity.

Give it up. You got nailed for spewing bullcrap. Deal with it – preferably by going away.

Nbc: please switch fashion star with hannibal or cancel fs. Hannibal is a much better leadin to grimm than FS. Can nbc realize that FS ratings are terrible and that it needs to move to sunday nights. Its not that hard.
