    Chill out.
Don’t answer everyone who tells something about Nikita.
Trolls will write more often just to annoy you.

Nikita will NOT be canceled. CW barely has ANY more shows to cancel as it is, with Cult most likely being the last. IF Nikita were going to be canceled, they’d do what they did to TCD and burn off Nikita with back-to-back episodes airing over two hours on 8PM and 9PM to get rid of it. CW is relying on that syndication, mostly because they’re too late in the game to turn back now. Nikita will be renewed for a 21-episode season 4 (as season 2 had 23 episodes), therefore getting it’s magical 88. CW can only go so far with cancelations as they now have quite a few available time slots for the 2013-2014 time slots. HOD, Nikita and BATB will be back joining Arrow, SPN and TVD, while TCD and Cult will be joining the other 3 shows (90210, GG and EM) in cancelation.

“The thing with Nikita is if they canceled it, what would they put in its time slot next season that would be successful?”

At this point, probably most anything. O.2s/0.3s versus Nikita’s current 0.3s/0.4s/occasional 0.5s aren’t really that huge a difference, especially if the network could pull that off with repeats. I don’t see them keeping a show around just for that when they already have a bunch of slightly-better-performers that could easily be moved in there to die off slowly, instead, even if they did drop after the move. The only publicly known reason to renew the show for a final season really is just syndication at this point.

The real concern is the 9pm slot, since absolutely nothing, including Nikita, has done well there since Supernatural moved to Wednesdays.

Sigh…season averages… Other than possibly BATB (maybe even HoD), nothing (of the LOW-rated shows, of course) on the network would do better than Nikita on Friday even starting next season.

It’s OBVIOUS that syndication is the reason Nikita is still on. OBVIOUS. Any other discussion is irrelevant.

Which doesn’t mean it’s TRUE that “any” other show would do better than Nikita. In fact, it’s likely false. But mostly it’s irrelevant since it’s NOT going to happen.

Nice try, snowleopard. The more subtle the Nikita-bashing, the more I pounce. :-)

John A: “Ok so ill say each week Nikita probably will adjust down that be ok with you? If i knew using the word ‘Probably’ at the start it would have avoided all this then ok”

No, stupid. First, because you not said probably in the past. Second, because there’s no PROBABLY involved, as I proved. Third, because you’ve been CAUGHT already.

You haven’t got anything to say about Nikita that anyone here needs to hear unless they’re into snark.

Just don’t say ANYTHING about Nikita. Just STFU or I’m going to run over you every week like I did this week. You want to go back and forth like this every week until Bill and Robert ban us both, fine. Bring it on.

I know. My bad. I just hate to see misinformation being spread around and influencing people who aren’t aware of the real situation.

    @Richard Steven Hack

You don’t know that because none of the shows you mention have regularly aired original episodes on Friday at 8pm. The last show before Nikita to air on Friday nights was Smallville. That show did drop moving from the Thursday to Friday, but it didn’t drop as much, percentage-wise, as Nikita and its ratings were still good enough for a renewal. If Tom Welling had been up for another season, we wouldn’t be discussing Nikita’s chances now because it wouldn’t have made it past season one. There would have been no place on the schedule for it.

As for other Friday slots, Nikita did just as poorly last fall at 9pm as any show has done there this spring. This indicates that Nikita’s ratings really aren’t being depressed by a Friday Factor the way Smallville’s ratings were and Supernatural’s obviously were. If they were, it ought to have done at least a little better at 9pm than it did.

Your posting incessantly on here will not affect Nikita’s chances one way or the other and its fate remains unclear until the network makes an announcement one way or the other. I suspect the reason why you are spamming every Friday thread like this is *because* you are aware that you, as a Nikita fan, have no control over the show’s fate, but want to deny it by shouting down anyone discussing its terrible ratings. Never mind that this is a site that is about ratings, so people are going to discuss them. Especially when they are really, really bad.

If you really don’t want other people to post about the show, how about not spamming every thread about it?

The CW doesn’t make money from overseas showings or syndication. The studio does that. If the studio wants to get enough episodes for syndication, it makes it worth the network’s while (especially considering the rumors that the studios that own the CW expect it to lose money), but the network itself is looking at its cheapest show in terms of ad revenue even performing below reasonable expectations. Is it likely Nikita will still get a syndication number of episodes? Sure. But beyond that is really unlikely.

Fringe is dead. So, what’s your point? That Nikita should be dead, too?

I’ll ignore the insults. Let’s just say that opening with one didn’t do you any favors.

  • evesix

Get rid of Nikita already! These numbers are pittyful.

  • Billy

I think LMS is going to get renewed. The only way it is canceled is if ABC totally gets rid of the Friday night sitcoms. I think it stays.

  • John A

Oh great it looks like Bondoel is back. RSH and Bondoel the entire Nikita fanbase is here.

  • Nikki

saw that coming for Nikita and bye bye Cult. Poor CW. lol not really

  • karin

Touch is abysmal 0.6 and 2.22M viewers,a “record” for Fox,i guess

  • John A

So you definatley are Bondoel then lol. No point replying to you then you will be banned soon.

  • P L Sims

Malibu Country almost always adjusts up. I think this show has a lot more support and viewers than it is given credit for. I hope ABC listens to the viewers and not ratings for this show. It is a good show , and it always has a important lesson to be learned. This is LMS second season-give MC country that chance.

  • Melanie

Cult has more people watching it on Friday than 90210 did on Monday. No wonder 90210 is cancelled.

  • Felipe Nikita

    @RSH thank you!

  • Solelle

Does anyone else remember the Nikita from the late 1990s the one with the blonde? It was soooo much better than the CW version of Nikita. This show should have had a built in fan base because it is basically a remake. But they cast a poor lead actress and the writing is so bad. Who made the production decisions on this show?

  • debbie clark

Malibu country is. The best Reba mcentire is so funny and Lilly Tomlin when these two
Are together you can’t stop laughing. Please don’t cancel you have to renew it. It is
Great to see the queen of country music. Back on her own sitcom. Reba we love
