Definitions:

DVR (Time-shifted) Adults 18-49 Ratings – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data LiveLive+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs.

Live+Same Day(Live+SD) ratings include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing.

Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

DVR Ratings Increase Past Airdate - How many people watched the show on their DVRs within 7 days following the airdate

Until the 2009-2010 season, we used a show's LIVE program rating or viewership as the base upon which the LIVE+7 day DVR viewing was added. Now, the press seems to be standardizing around using LIVE+SAME DAY DVR viewing as the base for the calculations, so that's what we do now as well.

  • DenverDean

CSI ends up getting the win with L+7 on the Duck Dynasty premier night.

  • Skylar James

Great for Nashville, Chicago Fire, The Bachelor, Suburgatory, Hart Of Dixie, Castle and Bones.

  • bobby

Great for smash! NBC needs to look at the DVR ratings before they make any decisions

  • bryer

Pretty good for the Carrie Diaries, for CW standards. still rooting for a renewal.

  • PurpleDrazi

    @bobby

NBC is well aware of the DVR ratings and it doesn’t matter. DVR ratings are not going to help. Smash is gone.

  • Mark Wood

Nikita would have at best grown to a .4 adults 18-49.

  • coolioni

    Way to go Supernatural!
    Talk about consistant !

  • Craig

Clearly Smash has an audience it’s just in the wrong slot, why that show is on at 10pm is beyond me. They should really try it on another mid week night before letting it go

  • Lifey

    @Craig
SMASH is cancelled. The producers said it was a Series Finale.

  • John A

Lol Nikita couldnt gain even on DVR. Obvious that it airing on friday isnt the problem. People just dont want to watch it. As pathetic as other CW shows rate they grow something on this.

  • Dan

Good for Smash, HoD, and Nashville.

  • toucan

I wonder how many people who DVR Smash are skipping the dialogue and only watching the singing parts.

  • Danie

Oh The Mentalist 1.2! After a couple of breaks, when the show gets 4 episodes in a row at 10 people decided to not watch it live. Go figure!

  • Ram510

Ouch! Remember when Once Upon a Time would get a 4.0+ in DVR numbers, I miss the fall.

Those Nashville DVR numbers prove that Nashville is just in a busy time slot.

Hopefully DWTS can give BoP a boost. Not because I like the show but because I like Dana.

Great for smash! NBC needs to look at the DVR ratings before they make any decisions

    Chicago Fire – 3.0
    Law & Order SVU – 2.5
    Deception – 1.7
    Smash – 1.7

You think that looks great for Smash; or, did you forget that other shows have higher live+7 ratings as well?

  • Richard

GO HOD !!! HOD deserves a third season since it is the CW’s #1 non- sci-fi show !!!

  • martin

any gain for SMASH is welcomed

  • Judy912

Great numbers for ‘Castle’ and I hope the trend continues.

  • forg

MF live viwership is down this season but the DVR is still on par with last year

  • Mari

    OMG Castle’s numbers are amazing!
