TCD defenders, less than a million views! Is it still getting renewed? LMAO.

  • DD

Modern Family has the highest ratings out if the ABC Wednesday block, and it airs at 9 whereas the so-called anchor show The Middle while stable, is nowhere near Modern Family’s numbers. Generally the 8pm anchor rule applies but as you can see (like in this case) it doesn’t always work like that. CBS though generally seems to have they’re highest rated comedy at 8 (TBBT, and now apparently HIMYM).

It sucks really that ABC is in 4th place. They’re much more stable compared to NBC and Fox when it comes to scripted programming, Scandal, Grey’s etc. but due to Fox having Idol and Sports and NBC having Sports and The Voice, ABC have not and will not beat them. Until ABC can get some extremely young skewing powerhouse reality show (DWTS 17 million total viewers doesn’t mean anything) they will sadly stay in 4th place.

Deception is steady in ratings just wish they were better I hope that it gets renewed it is such a great show I really love it and the actors in it ! I hope that I comes back and that it kicks butt this show is NBC’s hidden Gem for the future

CBS may soon realize what a CRAP show it left to anchor Monday Nights – and now they will lose Mondays to FOX. They should start paying Big Bang Theory crew double and have them do 48 new episodes per year to air Monday AND Thursdays

@Amy Hart Of Dixie is a product of Fake Empire, and according to this site its likely to stick around for at least another season.

@GG Yeah you’re right about that, GG vs TCD. TCD is a cute show, but I do wonder if it would’ve done better if they had created it as an entirely original show, and not a SATC prequel, nor pretended it was the 1980s?

    @ Liam

TCD has NOTHING to do with SATC, SATC is a legendary show and its legacy wasn’t or will NEVER be tarnished by cheap copies or spin-offs, or prequels.

The word “Flop” needs to be banned from this site. For god sakes, I almost punched out a coworker who innocently used the word earlier today. It is so grating and it is not clever at all.

I am surprised to see TCD getting so much attention this week when it was established last week that it was, in fact, dead. Stop beating a dead horse though I guess it could be argued that people are doing it out of respect for Sarah Jessica Parker.

As far as CBS Mondays go, we will need to see if it can rebound next week but I have always said that it is stupid for the network to be wasting TBBT. I think now is the time for CBS to expand its comedy hours. It has several pilots with lots of potential to be smash hits including tons of star power and so many of its current comedies are on their last legs. 2 and a half men keeps getting older, HIMYM is on its way out the door, and Mike and Molly will have enough episodes for syndication next year.

  • Ashley

The Following was adjusted up. Yea…now if we can see more towards 3.0 instead of 2.0.

  • Laura G

I don’t understand why people must bash the Carrie Diaries its a lot better than I’d thought it would be. I thought it would be just another “Gossip Girl” reload. The only issue is their is no real issue. Everything its all wrapped together perfectly by the end of the episode.

    @ John A

FOX is ahead of NBC Season to Date 2.6 to 2.5

  • Steve

DWTS didn’t do so hot when you consider that “The Voice” and “Revolution”, two shows that are competing with DWTS will be back next week. Watch the ratings slide.

Plus, premiere episodes of reality shows tend to garner lots of ratings. American Idol had very close to this number of viewers with this season premiere, and the viewership has dropped close to 25% since then.

DWTS will still be a dynamo for ABC, but I’m thinking it will be in the 13-14 range with a 2.4 18-49 after this week.

  • rob60990

How the hell is Revolution which airs at 10 competing against DWTS?

  • Melissa

    @rob60990

How the hell is Revolution which airs at 10 competing against DWTS?

    My thoughts exactly…

  • HalCapone

Sure DWTS will decline next week but it is due in large part to the curiosity factor of watching the debut of the latest mostly obscure cast this season. The Voice and DWTS audiences aren’t typically the same. I wonder how low The Voice will debut because there is no way it won’t be affected by both DST and singing competition fatigue.

  • Chris

Castle remains the most lead-in dependent show out there. And the luckiest–Deception came along at just the right time, and H50′s lead-in weakened, while its lead-ins got stronger.

But Revolution is returning, and its luck is about to run out. Again. :)

  • Amy

@ anon I know but HOD has a loyal fanbase. I’m guessing RB fans although with her valley girl accent I don’t buy her as a doctor.

  • Rachel

    @Matt

I almost punched out a coworker who innocently used the word earlier today.

    Seek anger management.

  • anon

@Amy Yeah it is RB fans that keep HOD afloat, although according to some fans, they claim they like the show bc it reminds them of a pre-CW, ‘WB type show’ too…or so they say, compared to the rest of the CW’s current line up.

CBS, Two hours of sitcoms might not be such a good idea!
