UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – March 19, 2013 – NBC has announced season-ending dates for a handful of its series, including hit dramas “Revolution” and “Chicago Fire,” as well as critically acclaimed comedy “Parks and Recreation.”

The season’s #1 drama on broadcast television in the 18-49 demo, “Revolution” will end on Monday, May 27 (10-11 p.m. ET). “Chicago Fire” will close out its first season on Wednesday, May 15 (10-11 p.m. ET).

“Parks and Recreation” concludes Thursday, May 2 (9:30-10 p.m. ET), with “Community” wrapping up a week later, Thursday, May 9 (8-8:30 p.m. ET).

Two current NBC series will wrap their seasons in April — two back-to-back episodes of “The New Normal” on Tuesday, April 2 (9-10 p.m. ET) and “Go On” on Thursday, April 11 (9:30 p.m. ET) — and two in March. “Whitney” will air back-to-back episodes on Wednesday, March 27 (8-9 p.m. ET) and “1600 Penn” will air its final episodes of the season on Thursday, March 28 (8:30-9 p.m. ET and 9:30-10 p.m. ET).

Other scripted series that have locked season end dates are “Grimm” on Friday, May 17 (9-10 p.m.), “Hannibal” on Thursday, June 27 (10-11 p.m. ET) and “Law & Order: SVU,” which will conclude the season with a two-hour episode on Wednesday, May 22 (9-11 p.m. ET).

It was previously announced that the Emmy Award-winning comedy “The Office” will lock its doors with an hour-long series finale on Thursday, May 16 (9-10 p.m. ET).

As for its reality shows, NBC’s “Fashion Star” will end its second season on Friday, May 10 (8 p.m. ET) and Donald Trump’s “The Celebrity Apprentice” wraps on Sunday, May 19 with a two-hour episode (9-11 p.m. ET).

“The Voice” will climax with its live season finale on Tuesday, June 18 (9-11 p.m. ET).

Is revoution cancelled ? Sagas final episode

  • outlawz

    i mean nbc not c.beast.s

  • Parnell

I had a feeling Chicago Fire would conclude on the 15th of May.

Very shocked that Revolution will end on Memorial Day what kind of scheduling is that?

They got Whitney ending at the same time as last season.

Hopefully that’s the series finale for Community.

  • Andrea

Grimm was supposed to end a week earlier…additional episode or they put a pause somewhere?

  • Dennis

SVU two hour finale = series finale???

  • Oliver

Parks is concluding at 9:30? Weird.

  • Leondre

It’s gonna be SVU vs. Crimimal Minds

  • DW

odd that they put rev season final on memorial day. interesting.

  • cimmer

I’m not sure about Revolution. I see the the adverts for the new ep show flying helicopters; is that a flashback or have they decided that their premise was indeed silly? IF Revolution is renewed then I think next season is going to go in a different direction.

  • Esaul

It can really go either way for SVU. For NBC, it’s still a good performer. It’s more of a financial aspect that determines if the show is renewed. And if it is, I’d imagine next year to be the last. I can’t imagine NBC making the same mistake it did with L&O…but then again it is NBC.

  • Rebecca

They got the blonde to make a remote controller thing for the power that comes from those little pendants – so right now the bad guys can fly helicopters, but how far away from the remote power controller I don’t know.

  • SJ

Parks and Rec will air two episodes on May 2, one at 8:30 and one at 9:30.

I really don’t get NBC – the show will have aired two episodes on one night twice in one season, meanwhile, the breaks between episodes have been astronomical. Also, it is their highest rated returning comedy. Ever think to order two to six more episodes? The Office used to have 28 episodes a season in its prime.

Revolution wrapping on Memorial Day. The Voice will “climax” on June 18? Were they going for an Usher pun or (un)intentional hilarity with that one?

I’m guessing the May 9th episode of The Office will be an extended one, just like the Valentine’s Day one.

  • TV Gord

Parnell, by the time it ends, Memorial Day will be over (after supper, the holiday is over, in my opinion). It used to be a tradition to have big ratings blockbusters on the evening of holidays, such as Christmas and New Year’s.

  • Ricky

@cimmer: That’s just the continuation from the cliffhanger we ended with in the fall – where Monroe started using Rachel’s invention to power up a helicopter.

  • Mon

Criminal Minds and SVU will have two-hour finales on the same night. It’s going to be a great night for crime drama fans like me. :)

It looks like Fashion Star is not going anywhere. Poor Grimm.

  • Melanie

Well, NBC obviously deserves to be in the ratings basement. What sort of idiot exec schedules their top rated new show like they have Revolution? Wow. Its off ther air for four months and it finishes outside of sweeps? I could see them doing that with a low rated new show — but with their top performer? Seems very foolish to me.

  • rob60990

Poor Hannibal being thrown in that timeslot. Like NBC is in a position to be doing this…

  • Patrick Ausgewahlt

If The Voice is going until June, NBC should not have cut Revolution’s episode count down to 20. That was their only mistake. People complain about the long hiatus, but look at Go On and the New Normal. Go On had a wide audience range, but it hasn’t seemed to develope any die hard fans.

  • Kerry

So what are they putting in that 30 minute block between Community’s season finale and The Office’s series one? Weird, weird NBC. I do not understand you.
