Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

0.2 and a ZERO share for HoD repeat? Am I reading that right?

  • Petar Ivanov

    @Ateofi
Of course you are so right. All shows until original contracts are up are cheap. Not sure how many years are that i think 4 years but somewhere hear 3 years and 5 years too. I guess it depends from production companies. When original contract is up than actors start taking way more money as you can see from the table.

@ As for Ashton Kutcher, it is amazing that such talentless guy has such lucrative contract
I guess CBS were desperate 2 years ago.

  • bluejays

OH good lord those CBS comedy numbers are terrible!! I dread to think what will happen to their Monday line up when The Voice and Revolution are back!

HFO held up remarkably well getting a 2.1 out of a 2.4. Those numbers for Mike and Molly are pretty bad. CBS messed up big time this year.

DWTS will likely dive too when The Voice comes back but I can see CBS being third on Monday from here on in, when they used to rule the night for years.

Castle did okay but not as strong as would have thought with the nice lead in. But nice to see it doing a bit better these last few weeks.

  • bluejays

@Mike. YOu slate HFO numbers every week. they are one demo point below Castle but with a seven point less lead in – how do you figure that as awful??

Plus this Mondays HFO beats the last live eps of every other ten pm show on CBS bar Elementary – again I ask how exactly is that awful?

Do you just make stuff up? Right now at ten pm HFO is CBS’ second best show for the season – hardly “awful”.

However in general – across the board – CBS have some big issues to face really. They have a couple of very big hits and a lot of slowly fading shows and none of their new shows over the last few years -HFO included – have become big enough hits to give them the breathing space they could do with.

  • Deo

Looking at the half hours, I´m sure Castle will adjust down, both in demo and viewers:(
I hope it stays at 2.1…
As for next week, with Revolution back, I expect Castle to lose a little, but I think H50 will lose more, as I think they share more the demographics ages…maybe I´m wrong, tough.

  • Jake

I hope you unfairly compare the voice to last spring as well, where it is sure to be down from the Super Bowl infusion. NBC really doesn’t have to compete head to head with dancing. One of them should move to Sundays. Dancing is way up from fall and this is the first time if did not face the voice

  • Ash

CBS really screwed the pooh this year. Old shows losing their strength and only BBT to rely on. I mean in the last 2 years, what has been a hit besides POI? For all the promotion and money they put to their baby Elementary is sure not working for them.

  • David Howell

At this rate CBS might have three multicams to replace next season. Hard to do unless they establish another hour next season, even if (as their pilot season suggests) it’s singlecams.

Wow at 2BG going down so hard, but it’s not going anywhere until 2015.

  • RG-X

The Voice & Revolution return next week – Mondays will yet again change.

  • HalCapone

DWTS would probably drop next week, with or without The Voice competition since the novelty of seeing the new competitors is over. That being said, DWTS skews older than The Voice so I really don’t see Voice siphoning off much if any of the DWTS audience.

Wow, an absolute bloodbath for CBS first run comedies last night!

  • Lifey

At least , DECEPTION never went to “The Firm” , “Awake” , “Do No Harm” low rating level.

  • BigBrotherFan

Why are you people so QUICK to be adding REVOLUTION to your fantasy fall sched? lol. THE SHOW HAS NOT BEEN ON SINCE NOVEMBER and we all know how well NBC did with THE EVENT. It could return to SMASH-LIKE 2012 Numbers and maybe a 1.8?

AI AND THE VOICE will hurt another even though they dont air on the same night viewers cant commit it both, really…Prediction

    VOICE MONDAY 3.9
    REVOLUTION RETURN- 2.1
It looks like CASTLE is on a winning streak NOT ROOTING FOR IT DONT WATCH IT WATCH DECEPTION!!! But I speak the truth!

H50 only the other hand is a big budget LOSER it looks like. Truth HURTS!

  • BigBrotherFan

    Lifey

    You forgot SMASH ;-)

  • Patrick Ausgewahlt

CBS sitcoms (barring Rules of Engagement) had two weeks off. Of course they’re down. Same thing happened last year. But they always shoot up by May Sweeps. Especially with a Barney-Robin Wedding that Ted meets the Mother at. It may be the second lowest rated episode of the season, but HIMYM is still a point above the network average just with that episode.

  • Joseph

It’s time for the Cancellation Bear to whack “The Carrie Diaries” and for the CW to move “Nikita” to Monday nights at 8 (Eastern/Pacific).

  • WoWza

iNTERSTINGLY WHO IS TOPS IN THE YOUNG DEMO? fox.

    eNOUGH SAID.

  • Lance

Those grandmas out there sure love their dancin’ B-list celebs almost as much as they love Tom Selleck!

  • PurpleDrazi

CBS is probably very grateful for March Madness right now!

  • BigBrotherFan

Hey anyone thinks DECEPTION MAAAAAAAAAAY work Friday @10pm after Grimm? Just a thought…NOW SLAUGHTER ME FOR DARING TO SUGGEST SUCH AN IDEA!
