Bill O'Reilly Factor

Scripted cable dramas and reality shows are frequently beating broadcast network primetime programming this season. Last night, a cable news program managed to outperform much of NBC's primetime line up in Total Viewers.  More people tuned into FNC's The O'Reilly Factor (2.92 million P2+) than Go On (2.87 million P2+), The New Normal (2.11 million P2+) or Smash (2.66 million P2+).

In a related story, Ryan Murphy has never paid out a $60 Million settlement for harrassing a female producer of any of his shows.

You can really learn a lot about people by going to a post like this and reading the comments. Same goes for a post about the Bible miniseries.

“The country as a whole has rejected right wing ideology and is firmly supportive of Obama’s policies.”

Making up your own facts, I see.

“This just in: Fox Fake News is running a nother bogus story. This it says “voters see debt as immediate problem.” Of course, the debt is NOT an immediate problem, job growth and economic expansion are. But Fox Fake News has manipulated their survey to yield the bogus results the right wing would like to see….”

So reporting on a poll is a bogus story? Your following remark only critiques the voters opinion on debt as an immediate problem. Explain how FOX manipulated the survey. You can’t. It’s just your biased opinion. Stop drinking that liberal kool-aid.

    Gene,
and there is something wrong with being older? Considering Betty White is doing rather well, I do think you need to rethink a few things. Why would you cut Ms White slack but not other people over 60?

  • usa8888

This just in: fox Fake News reports that Lian Ryan can’t get his right wing budget by moderate GOP…there is continued fighting among the right wing kooks and the moderates as the GOP continues to collapse…..

  • Raz

“Bottom line….Billo is a big blowhard who thinks waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much of himself. Much like Chris Matthews, Lawrence O’Donnell, Donald Trump and the like.”

And yet…..he beats out MSNBC every night

Sara did primetime program vs primetime program, that would be my guess. There’s a 11pm edition of The Factor, which is a repeat, though.

  • usa8888

This just in: Fox Fake News hires pollsters whose questions are worded in such a way that the answers reflect what Fox wants to hear..hecne the bogus survey result on debt….Just this week Boehner and Ryan both said debt was NOT an immediate problem, but Fox Fake News did not mention this in the poll results…

  • usa8888

This just in: if Jay Leno’s NBC is concerned about Jay’s skewing to older viewers you can imagine the concern Rupert has about Billo’s ratings, and Hannity’s and Greta’s, too, to a slightly lesser extent……..2/3 of Billo’s audience is over 65……

  • usa8888

This just in for Paul: Not only has the country rejected right wing ideology, but the GOP moderates have, too………….

  • Raz

And yet there are more Republican govenours then Democratic

  • Raz

And then there are the Democratic gov of the fine states of IL, CA and NY. Oy Vey.

As long as we’re comparing Bill O’ to shows that aren’t competing head-to-head, how about comparing him to “Second Chance”, “Glee”, or “Ned and Stacey,” 3 FOX shows featuring the stars of the shows in question? Aren’t networks more concerned about comparing their own shows to one another? I don’t believe any of those shows ever featured a guest star only to have the main cast overtalk their lines.

  • Irene

I went back to basic cable recently. Dropped 24 hrs news except when there is a big breaking story. Otherwise, why are we all waiting for others to tell us how and what to think?

I watch a lot of shows on hulu plus now. Not sure where that falls into the ratings.

  • sally

id rather watch O~Reilly than Off Thir rockers, i like Betty White but i cant standn the other not funny idiots she has on her show.NBC tinks

I believe that Sara is only stating that ‘The Factor’ on cable news had more viewers than some shows on broadcast in primetime, nothing more complicated than that.

    @usa8888
Yet another liberal stating that FOX does nothing but lie. Do me a favor. Without using your computer, can you find one shred of evidence that FOX lies about their claims?

Oh, and you saying that FOX ‘manipulated’ the results of the poll is just stupid. They gave the results of a poll, that’s not lying, that’s reporting facts.

its killing left wingers , that FOX is doing so good-
