Bill O'Reilly Factor

Scripted cable dramas and reality shows are frequently beating broadcast network primetime programming this season. Last night, a cable news program managed to outperform much of NBC's primetime line up in Total Viewers.  More people tuned into FNC's The O'Reilly Factor (2.92 million P2+) than Go On (2.87 million P2+), The New Normal (2.11 million P2+) or Smash (2.66 million P2+).

Stupid post Sara. I thought it was a Fox News Corp. press release at first. I find it completely irrelevant how Fox News may or may not be beating NBC at some hours. I would find it just as irrelevant if you posted the times NBC beat Fox News.

It has been well established, reported on and commented upon throughout this site the world of hurt NBC is in, especially in terms of comedies, why bother to repeat it in this manner?

Also a post carrying on about the number of total viewers seems to fly in the face of the premise of the site that focuses, correctly, on demo viewership.

You can do better and TVbythenumbers has done better.

    Right wing priorities:
    1) eliminate birth control and support the Personhood Amendment
    2) eliminate gun background checks so more criminals and lunatics can get assault weapons and murder more children and adults
    3) give big tax breaks to billionaires with yachts and private jets
    4) replace science with creationism and bible study
    5) eliminate Social Security, Medicare, the EPA, the FDA, the Federal Reserve, etc.
    6) embrace racism, bigotry and general backward thinking
    7) worship lunatics like Slimebaugh, Beck, Hannity and send them money
    8) attend the CPAC Comedy Convention
    9) watch Faux News–the propaganda arm of the right wing (bias 24/7)
    10) ruin the economy by cutting spending in a recession or depression
    11) Obstruction, obstruction, obstruction

Wow, I don’t even know where to begin with that. The fact that you believe that just shows how stupid you are.

And FYI, it’s the liberals that spend during a recession, embrace bigotry and backward thinking, and obstruct the truth through their nearly total control of the mainstream media.

O’Reilly just tells it how it is. He’s not biased and neither is FOX. Do you see NBC having influential conservatives on their show? No, but FOX has influential liberals come on to have the chance to get their points across.

    @Sarah Bibel

I really appreciate your willingness to post this even at the chance of being ridiculed. While many on this site feel you’re a hack for posting this, I admire your decision. Keep bringing people the facts!

‘The Factor’ was close (-40K) to beating ‘Whitney’ on Wednesday.

” FOX has influential liberals come on to have the chance to get their points across.” That’s a good one, Jacob. I guess you did not see Combs being cut off at every turn, being called a liar many times. Bill O is a hateful man and I’ll say it again: “Had to turn him off during his interview with the Pres”…cut O. off at his 3rd or 4th word of each sentence. Liberals on Fox get cut off and never get out a full sentence. That bugs me with Chris M., Joe a.m. Blow, C. Hayes, so, yes D and R’s are guilty, however, cutting off the Pres? Now, that’s just plain RUDE, Jacob.

When you consider half the country does not even have Cable, the numbers are remarkable!
