@ Annie…..They’ve already tried to reincarnate the show once. It became apparent that last year they prematurely renewed the show, and they knew it. I will admit I have never seen an episode, so I’m not going to say anything bad about the show, just that the content of that type of show just doesn’t interest me, and I have a feeling it’s the kind of show that has a niche audience, unfortunately ratings equals dollars, and if your not going to bring in a mass audience you get cancelled. Hopefully with the online game heating up, with services such as Hulu, amazon, netflix, and now even youtube throwing their hat into he rings, these niche shows like Smash may get a second life online, or in the case of shows like House of cards, a first life. There is an audience for Smash, they just have to find people willing to pay for it.

Eventually everthing is going to be online anyways so if anything they should take online viewership into consideration…. whats the difference between watching a show online and watching the same show recorded on dvr… I am a fan of the show and think that it was never given a chance… They shouldve never have left it for a spring premiere… It shouldve of always coincided with the voice which would have brought the show a lot better ratings… Jennifer Hudson is a huge plus too but she is not being utilized enough
