SEASON-TO-DATE, CBS NEWS’ “FACE THE NATION WITH BOB SCHIEFFER” IS THE #1 SUNDAY MORNING PUBLIC AFFAIRS SHOW
SEASON-TO-DATE, “FACE THE NATION” IS UP +8% IN VIEWERS AND +10% IN HOUSEHOLDS
Season-to-date, CBS News’ FACE THE NATION WITH BOB SCHIEFFER is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show and is first in adults 25-54 (0.8/03, tied with NBC) – the demographic most important to those who advertise in News – as well as viewers (3.24m) and households (2.3/06, tied with NBC). Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is up +8% in viewers (from 2.99m), up +10% in households (from 2.1/06) and even in adults 25-54, compared to last year.
On Sunday, March 17, FACE THE NATION posted 0.6/03 in adults 25-54 with 2.68m viewers and a 1.9/05 in households, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. Editor’s Note: FACE THE NATION’s second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 56% of the CBS affiliates.
On the broadcast, Bob Schieffer interviewed House Budget Committee Chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus. Schieffer also hosted a panel on foreign policy with New York Times chief Washington correspondent David Sanger, the American Enterprise Institute’s vice president of foreign and defense policy studies Danielle Pletka, Thomson Reuters reporter and Pulitzer Prize-winning author David Rohde and Richard Haass, president of the Council on Foreign Relations.
