Supreme Court hints that it won’t issue sweeping ruling on same-sex marriage

By Tom Curry, National Affairs Writer, NBC News

In a historic oral argument on a challenge to state laws that limit marriage to heterosexual couples, the Supreme Court indicated Tuesday that it might not strike down such laws.

The justice whom many observers view as the swing vote in the case, Justice Anthony Kennedy, voiced worry at one point during the argument that proponents of same-sex marriages were asking the court to issue a decision that would “go into uncharted waters.”

After the oral argument, Pete Williams of NBC News reported that it seemed “quite obvious that the U.S. Supreme Court is not prepared to issue any kind of sweeping ruling” declaring that same-sex couples have a constitutional right to marry.

Williams said there seemed to be “very little eagerness” from any of the justices to “embrace that broad a ruling.”

Actor Jake McClain Tweeting Every Word Of 906-Page ‘Obamacare’ Health Reform Law

Actor and director Jake McClain has taken on the monumental task of tweeting every single word of the 906-page “Obamacare” health reform law in hopes of drawing attention to the bill’s content, which he argues is detrimental to the nation’s fiscal health.

Actor and director Jake McClain has taken on the monumental task of tweeting out every single word of the 906-page “Obamacare” health reform law in hopes of drawing attention to the bill’s content.

“Folks … this will probably take a long time to do, but I decided I will read every page, word by word, of Obamacare, and tweet every word,” he tweeted on March 22.

And he’s been on a roll ever since, making it through the first 22 pages of the lengthy legislation — which officially comes in at more than 2,300 pages, but McClain says he is reading a “small-print version” of the law — in just four days

Looks like Obama is finally going to get his JULIA. Remember Julia..she was fictional bimbo Obama made up…so that all Americans could be like JULIA…welfare queen.

He chose Julia Pierson to be his next head of his Secret Service. LMAO!! Obama got his Julia to become reality.

  • Chriscee

    @ Cathy

You’re not a religious fanatic…just a person who believes in God. Only people who would call you a fanatic are those who do not believe in Jesus Christ – that includes most of the liberal population…even though some like Nancy Pelosi call themselve staunch Catholics. We all know she’s a Catholic in name only.

  • usa8888

Chriscee is a transplanted bigot having moved from maryland (she didn’t fit in there) to colorado (she doesn’t fit in there, either).././.

  • Chriscee

According to the Associate Press….they have identified a major headache for Obama. Not only is Kathleen Sebelius a major headache for Obama….but so is his own Obamacare…

Medical claims costs — the biggest driver of health insurance premiums — will jump an average 32 percent for Americans’ individual policies under President Barack Obama’s overhaul, according to a study by the nation’s leading group of financial risk analysts.

The report could turn into a big headache for the Obama administration at a time when many parts of the country remain skeptical about the Affordable Care Act. The estimates were recently released by the Society of Actuaries to its members.

The disparities are striking. By 2017, the estimated increase would be 62 percent for California, about 80 percent for Ohio, more than 20 percent for Florida and 67 percent for Maryland. Much of the reason for the higher claims costs is that sicker people are expected to join the pool, the report said.

The report did not make similar estimates for employer plans, the mainstay for workers and their families. That’s because the primary impact of Obama’s law is on people who don’t have coverage through their jobs.

It’s coming…HIGHER AND HIGHER HEALTH CARE…THANKS TO OBAMA…AND HIS non- CARING

    TOLD YA SO!

You have ZERO ideas on why we moved to BACK to Colorado.

Let me explain it to you usa8888 MR. KNOW NOTHING

In 2003 the UNITED STATE NAVY moved us to Maryland. We were at Paxtuxent Naval Air Station in Southern Maryland…Lexington Park.

My husband worked for the Navy for 8 years. In July of 2011 our oldest son was involved in a very serious car accident that almost took his life. He was coming home from work, driving in the dark and came around a bend in the room and hit a herd of horses that were crossing the road. One of those horses came through the windshield of my sons car…and his him in the chest. It punctured a lung, several broken ribs, a broken arm and a broke leg. Thank God he was wearing his seatbelt. It could have been alot worse. He had many cuts and 100′s of stitches from all the broken glass.

My son has 3 children. 3 small children – the oldest is 10. At that point in time..I begged my husband to please to start looking for work elsewhere with in the Federal Government. He did…and in November of 2011 we moved BACK to Colorado—outside of Fort Collins.

UNTIL YOU…YOU SOB…HAVE WALKED A DAY IN MY SHOES….DON’T YOU EVER EVER CRTITIZE ME AGAIN….you are a sorry piece of work…how dare you.

  • Chriscee

should be BEND IN THE ROAD…

  • Chriscee

I cannot imagine my daughter in law…being left with 3 small children…while we were living in Maryland. Thank God my son has regained his strength – went back to work…never once did he ask for GOVERNMENT HANDOUTS either.

I’m very thankful to be living back here with all 3 of our children and our 5 grandsons.

Again..until YOU HAVE WALKED A DAY IN MY SHOES….DON’T YOU DARE CRITICIZE ME..YOU ARE NOTHING BUT a PIECE OF WORK.

  • Coffee Steve

    @AppleStinx
She must have left her PhD hat at the door when she said that. Did she really say that?

Yes, and I did do a double take when I read it LOL…

  • Ratboy

    @ Chriscee

So I see you son has met zero x 4 when that horses a$$ came through his windshield!!

You are a great parent and I hope your son has no lingering ill effects!

  • Matthew

Ugh! Providing health coverage for sick people!?! What will these loons do next. Let them die alone and untreated like the dogs they are, I say

  • Chriscee

thank you Rat….it was a horrifying experience…I was scared to death for my family…and that is why we are now living back in Colorado….I will never move that far away from kids and grands again…ever!! I’m a 30 minute drive away now. Thankfully.

  • Coffee Steve

@You are a religious fanatic like zero x 4 is sane!

    I am a 100% Jesus Freak, that count? :-)
