Just having fun.Mark, was the Byzantine Empire , not Romain. They called themselves Romain. Their people move there and took over.

Byzantine Empire – one of the greatest people , richest, and most powerful. Maybe greater than Rome its self.

  • Doug Z

As the distinction between “Roman” and “Byzantine” is a modern convention, a single date of transition is hard to assign.

Ralph you must be a Fox viewer. There is no hyphen in douce.

O’Reilly is writing a book about Killing Jesus now? I thought his next piece of fiction was Killing James A. Garfield. lol

    ******************************

Well, I told him about my book a couple of times in 2011 and2012 and again recently, which is a critic of the bible…hoping he would plug it….obviously he recognized the potential of such a controversial subject, but instead of promoting mine, he’s writing his own…last time I’ll ever show any of my books to a celebrity…could be worse….if I had sent it to Rachel Maddow, she would have edited it and put it out as her own…

  • Mark

    @Doug Z

Can we assume sometime between 200 and 500 :P

From my understanding the Roman Catholic Church started to gain access into the Roman Empire in the Early part of the 300s and soon after the Roman Empire split into 2(Catholic church basically getting the West) Orthodx Church getting the East(or Middle East)

it seems like the Catholic church was more hardcore in the sense believe in Jesus or else suffer the consequences while the Eastern Christianity was like hey if you can be a productive member of society or have tons of cash we will overlook the fact that according to our beliefs you are going to hell. The Eastern Christian side basically was doing fine until hardcore Muslims took the area over many centuries later(reducing it to a shadow of what they once were).

  • Chriscee

    @ Matthew….

    Again if you don’t like what I type–what I think…don’t read it….simple as that.

I type what I feel.. Liberals should really look to clean up their own messes before they accuse anyone else…

I am frankly SICK AND TIRED…of liberals trashing conservatives. How does it feel??

and this is the last response you’ll get from me regarding your drivel

    Thanks….and good luck with that!!

  • Doug Z

    Mark
It is not for us to assume. Some historians say around 250 with the split east and west. Others say around 450 with the fall of Rome the city. I was just playing. You are totally right.

  • Doug Z

Mark , we do not study the fall of the Republic. That is what we need to study.
I have been a lot lately. A lot of fun. It is still hard to get one answer. Just like today.

  • Chriscee

This just in….Democrat Tim Johnson of South Dakota has decided to not run again for the US Senate…opening the door for a republican to take over that Senate Seat.

    YAY!!

I hope Kristi Noem runs for that seat and wins!!

  • Sicilian Papa

Tingles 97k in key demo. How long can MSNBC hang on!

  • Doug Z

    StanT
I can top that . I wrote Gone with the wind and the author stole it from me.

I told you I was old

  • Chriscee

    @ Sicilian Papa

This just in from MSNBC…they think they’ll take over the #1 cable news spot in 2014.

lol…and I want a million dollars and a trip to Tahiti.

We both stand pretty much the same odds…lol

  • susy

Chrissie, don’t listen to Matthew. He is absolutely fuming because your points are more valid than his. He might just start to cry if you are right one more time.

  • Matthew

Liberals should really look to clean up their own messes before they accuse anyone else…

I have no idea what this is supposed to mean. People whose only unifying factor is overlapping opinions on a couple of economic and social issues do not magically become some faceless, monolithic mass, who bear responsibility for one-another’s Internet posts.

I am frankly SICK AND TIRED…of liberals trashing conservatives. How does it feel??

First, it makes me feel sorry for you. More broadly, you’re trying to make a really weak ‘two wrongs make a right’ argument to justify your nastiness, or imply that it is somehow a response to the actions of ‘the liberals;’ in reality, based on your entire posting history here, this is just more of the same from you, an expression of who you are. You don’t post bile because The Liberals forced your hand, you post bile because bile is your nature. Surely you understand the concept of personal responsibility? Cheers

  • Matthew

Chrissie, don’t listen to Matthew. He is absolutely fuming because your points are more valid than his. He might just start to cry if you are right one more time.

If there are any points I’ve made in the past that you would care to refute, I’d be more than happy to debate them with you. Where would you like to start?

  • ninja

@ Apple….LOL…………..I once asked a friend ( who is very smart ) what he thought it would be like to be the smartest man in the world. ” VERY LONELY”.

  • Ratboy

Hey ninja, I asked Apple the same thin but his answer was “its a bitch!”

If the Republic falls it more like will turn into a Democracy then a Empire, just saying.

  • Ralph Hahn

@Chriscee: To repeat another suggestion given to you earlier, I know it’s hard to keep the silence to a mininum when you want to run these lefties over with a lawn tractor, but don’t take anything personal from Mark, Mark2, usa888 or Matthew. They always seem to insult people with words which describe themselves to a T. They are inarticulate, nasty, always questioning someone else’s IQ, which I don’t think that combining their brain power they could spell. Like, “What’s the number for 9-1-1?” These bitter guys, who are probably getting hassled by their parents because they still live in the basement and won’t go out to stake a claim of their own, talk about colleges and graduate degrees when I don’t think either of them could pass a course at high school vo-tech. One day, MSNBC beating Fox, is their own fantasy. I’d wish they would stay out of the grown-ups’ room and play some gd video game or something. Cheers.
