Revolution comes back tonight after several months on hiatus. Can it recapture its former ratings glory? It premiered to a 4.1 rating at the start of the season, but slid pretty dramatically, with its last episode earning a 2.9 back in November. The Voice is also returning tonight for its spring premiere, so it should have the benefit of a generous lead in, but a nearly 4-month hiatus could lose the interest of even the most committed viewer. So what do you think? Make your predictions below and tell us why in the comments!

  • Derrick

    I saw no Promos for it(that werent on NBC that is), i say low.

  • Ultima

    @jeff
    As soon as the big networks can remember to not put a brand new serialized show on a 4 month hiatus for no reason whatsoever

    There are reasons why Revolution went on a big hiatus; you may think they aren’t good reasons, but that doesn’t make them nonexistant.

    Comments like yours only make you look bad, not the network.

  • Ultima

    @DaxJackson
    I want it to do badly.. seriously. If it does well then they’ll keep having stupidly long hiatus’ in the future.

    They will do that anyways. It’s called summer.

    If NBC had just aired the show straight through, then people would be complaining about it being off for six months before season two started.

    If they aired it all season with repeats, then people would be complaining about that instead.

    @CBS#1, there is no way on Earth The Voice will pass Idol. It’s premiere MIGHT do better than Idol this week. MAYBE. Usher’s last album was considered a flop by EVERYONE and Shakira’s last single to make any impact in the US was in 2008. Sorry, I definitely don’t live under a rock.

  • DenverDean

    Sorry, but NBC also cut the order from 22 to 20, when they should’ve expanded it to 24. (I mean, they did it for SVU and CF.) NBC also should’ve moved up TV at least 2-4 weeks – silly to end it in the middle of June.

  • CBS#1

    But you didn’t say that Samuel, you claimed both didn’t have hits in years which hopefully you know by now that your comment was false.

    Don’t you know how incredibly stupid you sound when you claim that Shakira’s last single to make any impact was in 2008 when she had released her last English studio album a year later in 2009? Just because you don’t know both artists too well doesn’t mean that you can make false claims like that.

    American Idols last ratings was a 2.9 and you’re trying to convince us that season premiere of The Voice “MIGHT” do better “MAYBE” and not come across as a genuine hater?

  • The Cool Max

    Hopefully NBC fail’s hard.

  • Samuel

    Uhm, you obviously can’t read. The words “flop” and “hasn’t had a hit since 2008″ (which is 5 years by the way) don’t mean good… AT ALL. Idol scored a 3.5 last week for it’s performances and I believe The Voice will debut SLIGHTLY above that. No way it’ll go over a 4 at all.

  • Pavelsauce

    @NC Jeff
    It was Univision.

  • Patrick Gillease

    Below 2.2. A-la “V,” “Flash Forward,” and “The Event” with THEIR 4-month original season hiatuses, the long break will be the death knell for this series. WTF will care now?

  • Eric_Philly

    I mean, really? 4 months? Grimm did better than I’d thought… but I don’t know about this one…

  • NBC Fan

    @Patrick Gillease

    The Event was already crashing before it’s break and so was FlashForward. V went from a 3.1 to a 2.8 because of the break and that’s not a big fall.

  • Scot

    A solid 2.9 after following the only REAL hit NBC currently has in The Voice, which should easily nab in the mid 4′s.

  • rob60990

    When the hell are people going to stop using V, Flash Forward, & The Event as examples for why they think putting a show on a 4 month hiatus is a bad idea? Cable does this ALL THE TIME. Why is it so different when a network does it?

  • Ultima

    @rob60990
    Cable does this ALL THE TIME. Why is it so different when a network does it?

    Why even bother with cable? Broadcast networks do this all the time! May to September is four months!

    Of course, if more people here actually thought about things rationally instead of just trashing things they don’t like or making excuses, mocking them wouldn’t be nearly as fun! ;)

    And you will join the ranks of those who praised X Factor last fall and trashed The Voice predicting it will lose…

    and what happened?

    The X Factor face humiliation and The Voice had its highest season average!!!

  • SJ

    Revolution will likely get something in the 2.3-2.7 range, The Voice will premiere to a 3.7.

  • Ultima

    @Pinoy TV Critic
    The Voice had its highest season average!

    Nonsense. It did worse than both of the previous cycles.

    Spring/Summer 2011 – 4.6

    Winter/Spring 2012 – 4.6 (4.9 with Super Bowl episode)

    Fall 2013 – 4.2

  • Dan S

    Wow is Samuel vying to be the new Max ? His comments are silly & without merit. Revolution should have done just fine last night. I voted with the majority 2.8-3.2 & would be surprised if it returned any lower. I don’t watch the Voice but guessing it returned with around a 4.0

  • Colin

    The voice overnights 8.7. Revolution 4.5. Looks bad.
