Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Everyone’s opinions differ. Multiple comments have expressed about the shows declining quality. It’s your opinion when you state that you still think the show is good.

  • Alan

ABC should move back Revenge to Wednesdays! It did so much better in that slot.

  • Networkman

Now ABC should realize that both Once Upon A Time and Revenge needs moved. Once Upon A Time needs a good lead in so that it can be protected. Hopefully we won’t see both on Sunday in the Fall.

  • seekerslegacy

@Ash See, I can deal with people saying that. That’s fine. believe it or not, I do respect other people’s opinions. There have been a small handful of people who seem to be saying “Bad ratings=bad show” which is ridiculously horrible logic. Those comments need to be laughed at actually.

  • BigBrotherFan

I’m not sure ABC can do much to save either ONCE and Revenge. I don’t watch ONCE so I cannot comment and I don’t care what people who watch REVENGE say, of course the ABC sched. really hurt it BUT I think a lot of people, me included, who tuned in this season where not impressed with how the character of AIDEN derailed everything that was good about the show. Sure, they may get their stride back but I think a lot of those fans won’t return. ASHELY NOR JACK can be used as an excuse. They where pretty useless last season and didn’t seem to hurt. I for one don’t think JACK PORTER is NOT a useless character, at all. They could do more with ASHELY because Aiden is not working. Give up ALREADY Kelley or I WILL!
RED WIDOW will be adjusted down.

    What happend to CA?

I’m happy THE GOOD WIFE is atleast steady. I’ll be pretty sad if they cancel it. It’s a real quality show but I guess people rather watch mindless zombie trash!

  • Patrick Ausgewahlt

Great episode of Family Guy last night. Solid plot, not to many cutaways.

  • Liam

If ONCE had recovered after the Oscars to around a 3.0 then nobody would consider moving it. I really hope the ratings recover in the final four episodes of the season. DH had a writing slump in season 2 and came back better than ever in season 3. ONCE hasn’t had a writing slump this season, the writing has been brilliant (though down slightly from season 1), but I have a feeling season 3 will be the beginning of the writing starting to suffer.

  • Wright

WTH OUAT!!! It’s a great show, Why aren’t people watching?

  • David Howell

Correct decision from TVBTN to ignore CBS scrambled numbers. An idle thought on CBS though – could Mentalist get a midseason order? Given the CBS record with midseason replacements, it might be worth considering if TGW needs to be renewed to fulfil the potential of its syndication deal.

Either, or even both, of ABC’s once big Sunday night serials could be gone after season 3 despite only one more being needed for 88. They aren’t the sort of shows where the 88ep model holds at all – they won’t rerun well off-network, but streaming syndication is more applicable and doesn’t need 88.

NBC’s supporting cast just keeps getting weaker. Tonight is one of the most important nights any broadcast network has had in years. If The Voice struggles out of the gate and Revolution starts looking like the next The Event… Oh boy.

  • Holly

    @David Howell,

An idle thought on CBS though – could Mentalist get a midseason order?

I don’t think CBS has had a veteran scripted drama as midseason replacement for at least the last 10 years. I don’t see why they would start now.

  • Ash

I agree that’s its ignorant for people to say that bad ratings mean a show is automatically bad.

    @ BigBrotherFan

I’m assuming that by “zombie trash” you mean The Walking Dead. But if you actually watched it, you would know its more about the survivors and the struggles it takes to live in the apocolypse than the zombies itself.

  • JJF

OUAT fans don’t need excuses when just about everything on the network is struggling.

  • seekerslegacy

@JJF Especially considering OUAT is still outperforming most of the scripted shows on the network. OUAT is safe. There’s no chance of it getting canceled.

  • violet hour

can’t really excuse OUAT as i had stop watching a few weeks ago for a couple of reasons, 1/ i don’t like the direction the show took after they broke the curse , promptly brought in more unlikeable characters without ever pausing on those they introduce in first season and how they dealt with remembering who they are , pinocchio /the mad hatter , catherine who we don’t see meet up with her true love , all suffered and were cast aside for screen time for sleezy hook etc but even so i kept watching but my heart isnt in it anymore

2/ would have to be the ridiculous schedule with multiple breaks , so i figure why bother , i’m just going to wait until episode 18 airs which finally supposedly lets you know what happened to pinocchio after he turned to wood all the way back in the finale of season 1, a character who became a regular in 2nd half of season 1 only to be demoted and forgotten about

i haven’t seen the episode yet , downl it now but we’ll see , right now i’m wondering if i’m not going to drop this show after the finale! and its not the only show i’m feeling fatigue from BONES i haven’t watched an episode since episode 9 , same for vampire diaries since ep before xmas break …

my must see shows i stay up late to see right now are castle, psych, arrow and beauty and the beast

  • BigBrotherFan

I watched the first season and was not a fan. Period. Not saying it’s horrible but I just don’t get the appeal.

  • Bee

every monday morning, i burn with rage at ABC once again. both shows are obviously safe, but it’s frustrating to see them so low.

3 reasons why revenge will likely fall next week:
    1. no OUAT lead-in so ZERO help
    2. ONCE AGAIN, the promo is comical and tries to be funny. the last time this happened, the show fell 0.3 to a season low. and ABC f***ing STILL is giving the show just 20 second promos at the end of an episode so they can air a red widow promo right after.
    3. game of thrones premiere + the walking dead finale.

i predict a 1.4-1.6. and then the show goes off again for a MONTH. then more lows. sigh. damn you, ABC. just, damn you and your pitiful everything.

  • jackson

LMAO! NBC sends out a 2nd hour #1 press release and everyone prints it. The show is almost as bad as its ratings. Almost.

  • Jim

That hilariously tacky banner ad reminds me: has The Fable Channel issued their weekly press release lying about how many viewers watched The Bible?

  • Spencer

I don’t know why people always predict too optimistically for OUAT. everybody seems to expect better for it but obviously low 2’s for it are normal now.

    ABC Sunday schedule has crashed….
