ABC’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Builds Over Week 2 of Last Season in Viewers and Young Adults

Featuring Week 2 of DWTS Season 16 and Castle, ABC stood as Monday’s most-watched TV net (5th time in 6 weeks), beating runner-up NBC with The Voice premiere and the return of Revolution by 1.7 million viewers.  For the 2nd week in a row, DWTS was the most-watched TV show overall on Monday and Castle was the night’s most-watched scripted program.


Up over Week 2 of Season 15 by 1.7 million viewers and 10% in Adults 18-49, ABC’s Dancing with the Stars was the most-watched show in its 2-hour time period, outdrawing the season opener of The Voice by 5% in head-to-head competition.  Among Adults 18-49, DWTS outdelivered Fox’s dramas in each hour (Bones/The Following), leading by 10% on average in its time period.


ABC’s Castle was the most-watched TV show in 10 o’clock hour (5th straight telecast), topping CBS Hawaii Five-0 by a season-best 2.5 million viewers and the return of Revolution by a best-ever 3.5 million viewers.  In addition, the ABC drama outdelivered Hawaii Five-0 in both Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54.
