Here comes the barrage of illogical The Mentalist tweets…

How can you take anything from an episode that aired nearly an hour late, most of which aired outside of primetime?
CBS certainly wont be taking much notice of it. ANYTHING put in that position would be doing dire numbers.

Wait until TM and TGW return to their regular places in April.

Glad Once adjusted up.I doubt it’ll move next season as its a family show in the family hour where Disney used to show thier movies I f I remember right.

  • Edward

I know why the ratings on sunday nights are so bad everyone is watching cable shows!

  • Ann

    @Oliver

Thank you. I didn’t realize that.

  • Freddy Arrow

While I think a little too much is made of it, it does seem like a mistake to put serialized shows on Sundays with all the various preemptions, special events and late start times. ABC should consider something like Castle and Body of Proof (if it is renewed) on Sundays. CBS having one of their only somewhat serialized shows on the night could easily move The Good Wife to Fridays.

I think CBS should get a description paragraph, since it didnt have one yesterday

Once Upon a Time adjusted up :D

  • DW

i just dont see where dropping TGW down to 10 and moving in another show into that slot is going to affect things. elementary isn’t going to hit 3.0 or even a 2.0 up against SNF in the fall and TWD in the fall and winter/spring

  • JR35

So, OUAT tied its low to date- hopefully it doesn’t dip further, but another few-weeks-off scheduling may not help.

  • Paulo PT

CBS should air The Mentalist at 9pm some point this spring after The Amazing Race. I believe The Good wife is not a good lead-in, different public, one old female and the other male, not a good fit!

  • hitomi04

on the contrary i think this Last hiatus will help people catchup with Once to watch the last 4 episodes.

  • THE OLD MAN

TGW 1.7! WTG (though ep was not too impressive) as CBS again takes another Sunday!

    GO CBS!!

  • Ben

@Paulo PT: “one old female…” This about an actress who has won two emmy awards and eight Screen Actors Guild awards – a record, by the way. Your sexism is pathetic.

  • Freddy Arrow

    @Ben

“@Paulo PT: “one old female…” This about an actress who has won two emmy awards and eight Screen Actors Guild awards – a record, by the way. Your sexism is pathetic.”

He was talking about the viewers of the show, not the actresses. I don’t necessarily agree with him, but I don’t see what’s sexist about it. Even if he had been talking about Margulies, I don’t see what’s sexist about calling her female or old.

  • Steph

I agree with Freddy Arrow… putting a show like Revenge (and OUAT) on Sunday when there are so many preemptions and now competition from cable shows like the Bible might not be the best idea. I liked Revenge just fine Wednesday night, and I wish it would move back.

I am so bloody sick n tired of all the stupid hate comments from people against the mentalist. It has outperformed its dire lead in TGW constantly and hello it yet again was on late. You know at 10.45pm. What do you expect. Stick to commenting on your own fave shows and leave ur snide comments to yourself bout shows you don’t follow. This site sucks big time and it thinks its the be all and end all of the tv ratings world. Well your not.

  • Jeff

Revenge needs to go back to 10pm. I can see SHIELD taking over ABC’s 9pm Sunday, pushing Revenge to 10.

  • Diane

My opinion is that since CBS doesnt own the Mentalist, they cast it as their unloved step child. Folks still hung in there and watched until almost midnight. When does the Fairy Godmother swoop in and renew for the sixth season and take them OFF Sunday nights??

  • BigBrotherFan

I hope the GOODWIFE can stay at 1.7 the rest of the season. It’s such a great show!

Revenge won’t bounce back and I say that as a FAN of the show…THANKS SO MUCH AIDEN/BARRY SLOANE for ruining a great show! YOU SUCK!

RED WIDOW “highs” are 666 PARK AVE “lows” *great thinking ABC!*

    Good CA adjusted UPPP!

The only reason TGW got a 1.7 is people tuning in for The Mentalist. It will drop back down to a 1.5 like it deserves.
