Democratic Colorado legislature = power trip = ousted in 2014

    enough said!!

  • Letmethink

@Chriscee—we can hope so. Hope it will be a repeat of the last mid-term election!!
BTW–love, love love the Denver Botanic Garden. CO has something special there.

  • Chriscee

It is beautiful…I know alot of people who wait for their flower sale..and buy all their bedding plants from the Botanic Gardens.

I also love the Denver Zoo. I plan to take our grandchildren there this summer. Should be alot of fun.

Colorado has many beautiful things to see here….Black Canyon of the Gunnison, the 4 Corners Area, Mesa Verde Indian Ruins. Sand Dunes are always fun..we took our children there many times. Garden of the Gods, Red Rocks Outdoor Theatre..been to many concerts there….

It’s worthwhile to vacation in Colorado if you have the time.

  • Chriscee

North Korea’s Kim Jong Un wants to bomb Austin, Texas because they have a SamSung plant there. SamSung is a South Korean company.

    The man is certainly deranged.

What what the liberals are going to do when Obama has to start a war with North Korea? Or will Obama just offer up tea and crumpets?

    Obamacare Schadenfreude
    March 27, 2013

RUSH: From TheHill . com: “Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) said Tuesday that millions of workers’ dependents…” Now, that’s communist language. Translation: “Many of the children of families, many children of people that have jobs, millions of children “would still be left without options for affordable family health insurance under [Obamacare]. ‘Without action, millions of hard working Americans are going to be squeezed by the family glitch,’ Wyden said.

“‘Many people will be left with a false choice of taking family coverage through work they can’t afford or struggling to find a better plan in the exchange without a subsidy.’ Wyden said that there is a ‘family glitch’ because workers will be ineligible for federal tax credits to help them buy into the health insurance exchanges starting in 2014, unless the cost of their individual employer-based health coverage premium exceeds 9.5% of a worker’s household income.” Do you want me to run that by you again?

We are talking here about health insurance, health coverage in the United States of America coming your way thanks to Obamacare. There is an upcoming “family glitch.” Wait ’til you have to deal with the bureaucrat at the exchange trying to wade his or her way through this. This is a nightmare waiting to happen. The “family glitch” exists because employees will be ineligible for federal tax credits to help them buy into the health insurance exchanges.

Now, a lot of people ask, “What do you mean tax credit to help me buy into the exchange? I thought my premium was going to come down 2,500 bucks! What is this ‘exchange’ anyway? What do you mean ‘exchange’?” Do you realize how many people don’t know what a federal tax credit is? Do you realize when people hear the word “subsidy,” they have no clue what somebody’s talking about? Well, I take that back. That they might know.

A subsidy is somebody else paying for it, so they might know that.

But what a bunch of gobbledygook just to be able to go to the doctor.

    ****

RUSH: Okay, folks, this health care business. We’re talking about schadenfreude. You know what schadenfreude is. That is loving, that is enjoying the discomfort of others, in a certain set of circumstances. That’s enjoying when people get theirs. Like when people who are dead wrong about something but don’t know it, find out that they’re dead wrong and they suffer from it? Schadenfreude is enjoying that.

Well, there are some people that are hoping to experience schadenfreude over health care realizations down the road. Now, keep in mind about that that a clear majority of people don’t want Obamacare. It’s not as though they did. You know, the majority in this country didn’t want it. It was forced on us. We are being ruled and governed against. The will of the people is being governed against by this regime.

“Little Hope Seen for Millions Priced out of Health Overhaul” by Obamacare. “Millions of Americans will be priced out of health insurance under President Barack Obama’s healthcare overhaul because of a glitch in the law that adversely affects people with modest incomes who cannot afford family coverage offered by their employers…” Well, now wait. I thought family coverage was cheaper than individual coverage.

@Chriscee–We went to the Garden of the Gods and had high tea at the Glen Eyrie Castle–wonderful. There was also a small town nearby with a wonderful 4-star restaurant that we frequented during the visit—can’t remember the name of the town. Cripple Creek and the brothel is worth a days visit. The docents there are precious!! Agree lots of interest in CO.

  • Chriscee

If you ever get to Denver….Be sure to eat at The Fort in Morrison Colorado. It’s awesome…

And for kicks…be sure to visit Casa Bonita….you don’t go there for the Food (mostly mexican food) you go there for the experience. Cliff Divers and all. It’s a family fun place to go.

  • Chriscee

Casa Bonita is in Lakewood, Colorado…

  • 1966

if I could still post songs I would of posted up on cripple creek and rocky mountain high by john denver and rocky mountain way by joe walsh.up on cripple creek is by the band.

  • Letmethink

@Chriscee–looked it up–we missed this one. The only thing we did that I would not recommend was The Unsinkable Molly Brown Home. It was disappointing. Have you been there?

  • Letmethink

@1966–thanks–know those songs and love them both. Have you been to Cripple Creek? It is like going back to another time. The stories of the girls who worked there and the history of the town is interesting–to say the least.

  • ninja

My Dad goes to Cripple Creek about every 3 years. And some place with caves.

  • Sicilian Papa

I read through the posts. I still have not found a defense of liberalism in America’s cities. 40 years of liberal policies and the State of America’s cities is hard to look at. Trillions lost, not to mention the human toll and no investigations from the corrupt, secular, left wing, so-called objective media. Believe me if Republicans where running these cities over the last 40 years the corrupt, secular, left wing, so-called objective media would have done hundreds of stories on their failures.

Brian Williams, Scott Pelley, Katey Couric, and all the rest of the corrupt, secular, left wing, so-called should be ashamed of themselves. These multimillionaire 1%er, left wing ideologues no no shame.

  • 1966

no ive never been to colorado closet is wyoming and nebraska

  • Sicilian Papa

It is just accepted and never talked about. Places like Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, LA, Oakland, in Conn. Bridgeport, Hartford, New Haven….

Chicago, a killing field where dear leader plied his trade as a community organizer. What has all that left wing government spending accomplished in our cites over the past 40 years?

A great story that NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, and MSNBC should be eager to investigate.

  • Letmethink

@1966–never been to Nebraska but love Wyoming.
@ninja–we knew about the caves but missed them. Sadly my friends are in poor health and sold their summer cabin so days of visiting and exploring CO are probably over. Just as an aside and a bit of introspection–since my sister-in-law just passed and my husbands best friend just had a massive stroke—gives one pause. You think about all the things you want to do, and want to see but truly the most important thing is to love your family and friends and to be true to your beliefs. Chriscee–you stand by your beliefs and I respect you for it. One–two–three–here comes the nasty posts–

  • Ratboy

A local news affiliate in Idaho reported that the first daughters, Sasha and Malia Obama, are on a Spring Break ski trip in Sun Valley, Idaho. The story quickly spread across the Internet when picked up by the highly trafficked Drudge Report website.

But hours later, the story disappeared the White House requested media outlets to remove accurate reports that Malia Obama was on a trip in Mexico with over two dozen Secret Service agents.

The First Family has been criticized in recent days for taking frequent vacations. Earlier this week, Breitbart News broke the story that the Obama daughters spent part of Spring Break at the Atlantis resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Michelle Obama and the First Daughters took a separate ski trip last month to Aspen, Colorado.

While each of these trips require a significant Secret Service presence, the White House canceled public tours this month citing Secret Service staffing costs.

@SP–heard some of the music moguls of the 60′s, 70′s on Wilkow talk about the glory days of Detroit and how liberalism/unions has destroyed it. Once a glorious and prosperous city now a pigsty.
