It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been renewed for its 10th season and The League for its 6th, FX announced today. The pair will both be moving to FX's just-announced new channel FXX this fall.

Legit has also been renewed for a second season and will be moving to FXX

@Greg – Oh yeah that’s weird but I guess they need a balance and as long as both networks are accessible that’s the most important thing

Yes more Always Sunny and The League!!!!!

    Why FXX???

And is this the final season of Always Sunny?

  • NE1

good news for Always Sunny! I hope they go beyond that too.

FXX is supposed to target the 18-34 demo. FX will continue to target 18-49, and FXM 25-54. All this reshuffling may sound stupid and confusing, but if it allows for more good FX shows on the air, I’m all for it.

Fox Soccer Channel (which will become FXX) is already available in HD (at least on DirecTV).

Always Sunny will premiere it’s 9th season this fall on FXX, and as this press release states, has been renewed for a 10th season as well.

it’s 2 seasons away, so maybe it will be the final season, maybe not.

I’m surprised, but relieved they renewed both..I feared cancellation due to low ratings, but I’m glad they’re both coming back..Haven’t missed an episode of The League, and I said a few weeks ago that Legit was the funniest show no one’s watching..I just hope Dish will get this FXX crap..

I’m worried I won’t get this FXX to start. My cable operator, Charter, has Fox Soccer in Sports View, a package I do not pay for; hence, I do not get Fox Soccer. Considering the theme of this channel wouldn’t fit the aformented package at all, Charter had better move the channel into Digital View or Digital View Plus and move the channel to a new number (the 100s, perhaps).

All I can say is, FX Networks NEEDS to get working IMMEDIATELY with television providers who are so greedy with channels these days. Fox Soccer is in about 48 million fewer homes than FX and Fox Soccer has some of the lowest ratings on all of ad-supported cable television. Fans of FX’s comedies that are soon to move to FXX will be left in the dark if FX Networks doesn’t work quickly with television providers.

By the way, News Corp has announced Speed will become Fox Sports 1 and Fox Soccer will become FXX. But isn’t Fuel TV supposed to become Fox Sports 2? When will an announcement about that come? And with Fox Soccer gone, will Fox Soccer Plus close or become something like, say, Fox Sports News (Fox Sports’s version of ESPNEWS)?

The League is HILARIOUS. I cant believe more people don’t watch it. I will be joining a fantasy league next fall just because of this show. So glad it was renewed!!

    Shiva Bowl!!
