    @Mark

    I keep hearing how every sitcom will do better with syndication. The bottom line is the only sitcom to benefit from syndication recently is The
    Big Bang Theory. 30 Rock, Rules of Engagement, How I Met Your Mother all started syndication the past year or so, and got no new viewers from it. Syndication is not the cure all for sitcom ratings.

    Duck Dynasty won the night by a half-point in the demo! Unbelievable.

    I mean, this is a night with two of last season’s top three entertainment shows on broadcast and they get beaten, and beaten well, by a cable breakout. We are witnessing history, folks.

    Not a great night for NBC considering CBS dramas were in reruns.

    SPN :)

  • John A

    Cool that Spn is growing from Arrow. Not any other show grows from its lead in on CW.

  • david

    Good to see Arrow up in the finals. SPN still beat it. SPN has been really steady all season around a .9 or 1.0. I am thiking they will both stay around a 1.0 for the rest of the season.

  • CBSviewer

    Yeah Supernatural is CW’s #2 Show :)

  • Carl

    Between all the breaks, and various opinions of quality of episodes, I’m not sure that 1.0 will hold, but I’m happy it at least held this week. I don’t care about beating Arrow, Arrow’s doing great, Arrow will likely outrate SPN most weeks for the rest of the season, and Arrow and SPN go well together. The only good thing about this week is that it’s a poke in the eye to the idea that SPN is just lucky to be hanging on to Arrow.

  • Melissa

    @CBSviewer

    Yeah Supernatural is CW’s #2 Show

    Only for this week! Arrow is currently averaging a 1.1 and Supernatural is currently averaging a 0.9.

  • Edward

    Glad to see Supernatural doing so well. I wonder if new people are discovering it on Netflix.

  • peter

    1) Supernatural last season was awful , terrible writing terrible enemies , terrible storyline , terrible airing day…
    Supernatural was lucky it got moved at wednesdays after arrow since some people tuned to see if quality changed this season , they did a good effort lately and it is finally starting to pay. thats all.
    2) Modern family does awful lately , it started with a 5.5 rating this fall and it fall to a 3.2 … greys anatomy versus idol did a 3.1 ..and it is on its 9th season…where those awesome modern family ratings went?

  • s0303

    happy to see arrow adjusted up…looked weird having an 0.8 beside it :)

    congrats to supernatural, but beating arrow one week doesn’t make it the cw’s #2 show…however, i can see supernatural taking over (reclaiming?) that spot eventually…

  • Ram510

    Luke has become the funniest character on Modern Family. He stole the show last night. Other than that not that great of an episode and not surprised that the ratings are down as well

  • Jeff

    NBC is desperate if they are developing a spin-off of a show (Chicago Fire) that is barely a minor hit, even in today’s world of low expectations.

  • JONNYSBRO

    The thing is if FOX cancelled idol wouldn’t every network claw at it for the branding alone? I wonder it would cost to buy American idol for fox?

  • Bee

    calm down people. MF obviously went down cus it was coming off a big break. plus the show only gets 15 second promos. so a noticeable portion of people didn’t realize it came back. it’ll be back above a 3.5 at the very least next week.

  • CH2164

    Woo go Arrow :D

  • David Howell

    Jeff: it’s generally their #1 scripted show without a Voice leadin. They are, indeed, that desperate.

  • Ben Thompson

    Good for Arrow. Did not expect Supernatural to beat it but kudos. It clearly proved me wrong.

  • Mark

    @Billy

    Hahahahahahahaahaha okay.

  • AA

    at least nashville is steady. low but steady.

    I wanna see that and Revenge getting renewed.
