    Faith3,

I would like to see the dismantling of the political system as well – one person, one vote, true equality. Unfortunately, I believe we are too entrenched.

You refer to the power of lobbyists. As a right-winger, I am not happy with the Republican party, and I haven’t been for a long time. Members of both political parties have too much vested into these special interests. We commoners have little voice anymore. For this reason, I believe we are too entrenched, and it won’t change until real pain is felt by all. This is very unfortunate.

    Doug,

That was not a party decision. Take off your partisan glasses.
What was not a party decision. In S.F there are no GOP voters

  • Doug Z

Faith , you defend S.F and say it is not Dems, what ,Take off your partisan glasses.

  • usa8888

This just in: Dr. Ben Carson is being asked by the students of his university to NOT give the commencement speech after Carson made dergatory comments on gay marriage on Fox Fake News’s Hannity program recently. The right wing has found one surgeon out of thousands who identify with the erroneous conservative ideology and is trying make hay out of it. What this does, however, is further box the right wing kooks into the corner and ensure they will never win another presidential election……

  • Faith3

Yes TZCA, we found common ground.

  • usa8888

Doug wants the US to go back to resources and manufaturing, which were the “in” thing in the 1880’s, but now, as any one with an ounce of business acumen knows, these are totally passe–it’s new TECHNOLOGY which will lead the US in the 21st Century…Doug’s thinking is typical of backward looking conservatives who are short on vision and education and long on backward thinking conservatism…..

the Republic is in trouble. , see Roam 150 BC . First Dictator . 100 years before Julius Caesar. Most do not know this. the rich killed him to. He was voted to that spot.

    Faith3,

I should be fair and say to this is well, “I am amazed that this is as clear as mud to so many people.”

  • Doug Z

grasshopper, you have to have it all. Everybody is not educated like you nor will they ever be. The undereducated have to work to.

You are so right new TECHNOLOGY and anything that will help . We need it all.

I didn’t say it wasn’t Dems. It was both parties that allowed the US to take in cheap subsidized imported steal for years. If you believe otherwise, you are sadly mistaken.

  • Doug Z

    grasshopper
How would anybody put words like this in anybodies mouth. Nobody wants to go backwards. You know that . Why do you always say , I am sorry, but stupid things.

So right. Even more the Free trader GOP, than Dems. the GOP free trade group has done more damage than Big Gov.

    WHY IS IT

The WWE was forced to say pro wrestling was not a sport

Yet Fox News can still be callied a news network

    Does not make since

  • TZCA

Also, amidst our financial woes and rapidly growing national debt, we are at a breaking point between growing population, harvesting natural resources at a realizable benefit-over-cost ratio (both financially and in terms of energy), and environmental protection of those same resources. As Doug Z likes to say, a perfect storm.

1/3 rule states that Every issue has Pi as it’s basis. 1/3 ‘for’, 1/3 ‘against’, and 1/3rd don’t really care.

1776 was exactly that formula. 1/3rd profited by British Rule. 1/3rd detested British Rule and 1/3rd really did not care, but flowed and gushed praise with whomever was the winner.

Fawning over the winners, as sycophants are well known to do, as if they were in total agreement with them all along. US Media is well known as ‘Sycophant Media’

I’m not sure why we can’t build a renewed energy grid in the US?

It does not work yet. It will someday. It coat to much now.

  • Faith3

Well Doug that just goes to show that the US is going the slow growth route when we could be doing the opposite.

Slow growth will be caused by doing things that so not work. It does not work yet . Why can people not read cost.We can not pretend. In time it will.
