Does 'Happy Endings' Have a Chance Tonight? (Poll)

Happy Endings is debuting in its new Friday timeslot tonight at 8PM before a new Shark Tank. ABC has already asked viewers to save it...but does it really have a chance? Its last pair of originals (way back in January) earned a 1.2 and a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating. Will its fans follow the show to Fridays? Or is this burn-off the end of Happy Endings? Predict the ratings below and let us know your thoughts in the comments!

Whoa, I thought ABC canceled this show a long time ago lol.

  • peter

    ABC sux.

  • PurpleDrazi

I just checked my TV schedule an our ABC station is running some d*mn special about the local Baseball team.

Soooo….I’m gonna say no. It doesn’t have a chance. And that makes me really sad. :-(

1.2 and 1.3 is the hope. Realistically, I’ll be slightly surprised if it even hits a 1.0.

Im going to say a .7-.9, I would love to be wrong and have it do better than LMS and MC, but based on how it did on Tuesday there is no way. I hope somehow, someway the show can survive. But I am already fully prepared for it to be cancelled and not be picked up anywhere and have come to peace in my mind that this season is it’s last.

It’s not on where I live.

  • forg

    0.8 for both episodes.

The combination of ABC and Sony as producers of this show gives me hope that they will find a way to get a 4th season (maybe not exactly on ABC) but it’s going to be tough

  • Nick

    Happy Endings: 0.8
    Happy Endings: 0.9

    Shark Tank: 1.7
    20/20: 1.4

    Nikita: 0.3
    Cult: 0.2

    Kitchen Nightmares (R): 0.9
    Touch: 0.6

    Fashion Star: 0.6
    Grimm: 1.5
Rock Center with Brian Williams: 0.7

Happy Endings will ultimately flop. It’ll bring Shark Tank to tie its season low.

Just renew LMS and MC and get rid HE….HE is not even going to come close to LMS and MC!!!!

  • Rebecca

I have seen it promoted on ABC (and even seen their “slogan” about “Save Happy Endings” in the ads), and I’m a fan – but I’m accepting that this could be a burn-off and it won’t be renewed by anyone. I’ll enjoy it while it lasts and hope for above a 1.0 every Friday.

Can it be saved? Most likely not…and this is coming from someone who thinks it is currently the best comedy on television in the last few years, not one of the best–the best. Like Community (a show on which I am neither fan nor detractor), the humor is non-traditional and frequently veers into zany, almost existential territory (very unlike the humor of a Two Broke Girls, Two and A Half Men or The Big Bang Theory which all deliver joke set-ups and punchlines that are familiar to everyone…and with laugh tracks). Furthermore, the dialogue is too fast paced (I like to call it caffeinated dialogue) for many to even try to follow. The writing is amazing…or is that “amaaahzing”? (nod to Penny). Cast (chemistry) is totally in sync with one another. ABC saved this show once before when it was mostly predicted for cancellation because the ABC prez or one of the top execs really liked it. Only a miraculous exec intervention could save it now. I have already mourned the loss of another great show before it has been officially canceled. Scheduling of Happy Endings has been horrendous this season; its pairing with more adult themed Bitch in Apt 23 and on Tuesdays was a complete and utter failure. Now the special showings in pairs on a low viewing night during Daylight Savings represent the last nails in the coffin for this sweet and riotously funny, inventive show. Happy Endings is everything Friends never was but should have been. And New Girl is a poor copy cat of Happy Endings. “What? A brother can’t twirl”?

Do you think they’ll air all the episodes if it scores below a 1.0 tonight?

  • RJ

Adios Happy Endings! You were NEVER funny.

  • Anne Noise

    I’m a huge fan, but bleh, I doubt it’ll break 1.0.

  • Ryne

This is definitely burn off. No chance of renewal and I think no chance for TBS either.
After season 2 there was definitely promise but probably a combination of bad scheduling and bad writing (this year) has doomed this show. But will DVR the remaining episodes

  • Ted Craig

In a totes Fantasyland, a line-up would be:

    Raising Hope
    New Girl
    Happy Endings

Alas, that is not the real world.

  • Eleanor

I want to see Last Man Standing and Malibu Country reruns! As with most comedy sitcoms you notice something new each time you watch it.

  • Hugh

1.2, and renewal over Malibu for next years Friday comedies.

    Someone’s gotta be optimistic.

  • solelle

It is a sinking ship women, children and boytoys first.

  • Rollie Dethloff

I gave the show a try tonight, and couldn’t get through it. Hope it’s cancelled over Malibu, LMS, and The Neighbors.
