Idol couldn’t even beat Jim Harbaugh’s brother-in-law against the Penn State of College Basketball? And their signature contestant, Kelly Clarkson, is now marrying someone who is related to the star of “Malibu Country” as a publicity stunt?

Wow at Grey’s going from 8,3millions to 9millions!

The preliminary viewership figure for Grey’s Anatomy that TV by the Numbers posted was incorrect. The correct preliminary viewership figure was 8.8 million, confirmed by Marc Berman, Entertainment Weekly, and HitFix.

Now that Zap2it is gone, does anyone know where to find the HH ratings? Or can we ask you guys to add them to your info?

BatB,HoD and Nikita will be the last 3 bubble series that the CW will renew out of the current crop of series. Cult and The Carrie Diaries will be cancelled. I wouldn’t be surprised if the network kept Nikita on Fridays, billed it as the final season and moved HoD and BatB to Monday nights.

There’s a new CW promo where both Cult and TCD don’t appear in it, while BATB does. Also yesterday Kristin Kreuk and one of the writers of BATB were at WonderCon and they both spoke about BATB as though there will be a second season.

Add to the fact on twitter one of the writers stated they were in talks with the CW about season 2.

I’ve been saying this since the very beginning, but it seems like with BATB CW is looking at more then just its ratings when it comes to its renewal… we still have one more month to go, but so far everything looking good, more so since the BATB episodes are getting more intense.

As it now stands, it looks like those who swore the series would be canned will be eating chow come May and hence why some of them are getting so annoyed with the BATB’s fans positive outlook on the series on this site. :)

Yeah how soon will Idol and X Factor merge into one show?

Beauty and the Beast is doing better with retention out of VD. This show is definitely coming back like somebody said before maybe with Supernatural on Tuesdays.

    Whitney repeats better than Community.

Raising hope still bounces and pounces back for fox.new girl & the Mindy project are abysmally dense.their dented denseness shallots an incured wrathfully vend firm regarding fox watchers.

@Joe Daniels, I would really like to see the American Idol alums rotate on the panel week to week. That would be great. Keep Randy Jackson and then have two new alums each week. For example, Clay Aiken and Carrie Underwood one week and then the next week Fantasia and Adam Lambert, Jordan Sparks and Phillip Phillips, David Cook and Jessica Sanchez, etc. I think the new contestants would be happy to hear feedback from people who already experienced being on American Idol and now have a pretty successful career. Lastly, I would love to Justin Timberlake as host whenever Ryan Seacrest decides to step down.

    omg this great news
hope it will be true bec for sure BATB needs a sec season
thanks for the news girl :)

I’ve got news for you. Due to a massive drop in the ratings for American Idol this week, the producers have decided “ENOUGH WITH THE BALLADS!!!” and have made next week nothing but classic rock and have warned the participants, “No more ballads, or else!”

I don’t know about you, but with the way things are going with Lazaro, with him being forced into going uptempo, it could be too much for him to bear.

As for Burnell, he could turn a rock performance into an Usher-type song.

Amber and Candice can do well if they infuse a Tina Turner type performance somewhere.

Angie might do good if she does a Blondie song like “Rapture.”

As for Kree and Janelle, if they try something from Pat Benatar or AC/DC, they should be all right.

Publicity stunt? PLEEEEEEEZ tell me I’m wrong, and they are NOT holding the wedding during Idol’s finale! They couldn’t POSSIBLY stoop to that low and sink themselves to the level of the Kardashians and that staged wedding, could they?

Fortunately I’m not inclined to watch, anyway! And the NCAA College World Series (men’s baseball or women’s softball) is an acceptable distraction for anyone else who thinks this is the nuttiest, most desperate Idol idea ever, IF it turns out to be true!

@Amanda I usually read their bitter comments over and over specially when something BATB related come across I dont know if its bec of easter, or bec they ve been predicting the rates for BATB will go below .5 and that hasnt happened I dont know what it is….but they seem really quiet for the last couple of days.

I really doubt any network would buy Idol. It probably wouldn’t come all that cheap, even in its reduced form, and at this point, why not spend that money developing or buying something new?

Depending on how low this show goes this season (and let’s remember we still have two whole months left), I could see some serious changes to the show for next season. In fact, at this point, it’s all but certain, at least with the judges, I think. I’m not sure if Fox would seriously consider having the show take a year or two off, but as I’ve described before, I don’t think it’s the worst idea ever. People have plenty of other options, but it might make them miss Idol itself. It’d leave a pretty big hole in Fox’s schedule, especially if The X Factor stays where it is, but it might be worth taking the temporary hit to think for the long term. At the very least, Fox should seriously consider cutting back the Wednesday show for both Idol and The X Factor to an hour. It should also seriously consider shipping Glee to Tuesdays.
