Tonight is the finale of ratings powerhouse The Walking Dead. Last week's episode earned a 5.4 adults 18-49 rating, which is already up over last year's finale (which earned a 4.7 adults 18-49 rating).

However, tonight The Walking Dead has some unusually stiff competition in the form of the eagerly awaited premiere of the third season of Game of Thrones. Can The Walking Dead maintain its massive ratings dominance? Or is winter coming for tonight's finale? Make your predictions below and tell us why in the comments!

Anyone who watches The Walking Dead knows how terrible the finale was. The build up to the ‘big battle’ was nothing but a couple of gun shots and explosions. Andrea became a character so stupid I couldn’t sypathize for her when she died… And they let the governor stay alive, which is reaaaly annoying because they’ve drained everything out of the character … But if there’s one thing I ask for in season 4 it’s this: DONT STAY IN THE PRISION. God knows how cheap AMC is trying to be, but staying in one location for a whole season is really boring. Go back to season 1 where the group is traveling on the road… Overall the second half of season 3 was an overall MESS… It could’ve been told in about less then 4 eps, but the producers milked every plot line in order to get to 16 eps, and it showed.

About Revenge….its coming back for season 3 regardless.

Same for Once. Once and Revenge are still in the top 5 highest rated shows for ABC network. The demos are low because public networks are becoming laughable now. Cable network shows are whats hotter from now on.

exactly. but i think all of that could be forgiven (i can see trying to make the gub’ner last 16 eps) for a satisfying conclusion. they completely and utterly failed. and what they did to andrea not only made 1/2 the episode pointless, it completely negated her whole season storyline! at a story structure standpoint, it was utterly wasteful.

I enjoyed TWD season finale. It was full of human drama and Andrea’s death was very sad.

TWD as a loyal fan base but I think the same folks that use to watch the show will watch tonight with a few new viewers I think the ratings for the show will be around 5.7 to 6.0 and a bit over 12M viewers.

  • Nick

    TWD will get 12.4 million
