@peter, apparently he wanted to leave because he wasn’t doing anything on the show anyway.

  • Dan

    Yeah Nikita! Bye Bye Cult!

  • Richard Steven Hack

    Nikita stable as usual.

    Cult is truly pathetic.

jake: “Cult can be the first show ever on network tv to get a zero demo”

No, I believe that has happened before, but I don’t remember what show it was. You can get a 0.0 demo still having some viewers.

Given the overall lousy state of the CW’s new shows, Nikita looks better than ever with a .36 season average on a Friday in season three after never having been a hit in the first place.

Take any of the CW’s new shows this season (except Arrow, of course), run them three seasons on Friday and see how well they’d do against Nikita. Not so much. :-) Most of them are either already canceled (EO), about to be canceled (TCD and Cult) or likely to be canceled (BATB) in season ONE. The other low-rated show still stable in season two – HoD – is only two-tenths higher (.56) than Nikita.

While a .36 average sucks, for the CW today on Fridays in a third season, it ain’t that bad. And of course, it’s utterly irrelevant since Nikita is on track for syndication.

But the CW had better hope it gets at least one Arrow-level hit out of the five pilots they’re likely to premiere next season. Any more Cults and they will be in a world of hurt. I haven’t looked at the reputed pilots so I have no idea if any of them will be any good based on premise and cast.

Is that the first time any show has got a 0.1?

CW Now (a 30 minute newsmagazine on The CW) apparently got a 0.1/0 in A18-49 and 0.35m viewers on 2/3/08 against the Super Bowl.

  • Dillan

Oh I see, thanks for letting me know. I assume this is the first scripted show that has got a 0.1 then?

  • Chicago Fire: SVU

I think last time CW hit a 0.1 it was SB Sunday and they were airing CW Now (does quick Wikipedia search)

Yep just as I thought SB Sunday 2007 and CW Now got a 0.1. (Although according to Wiki an Aliens in America repeat was their previous low equaling a 0.1)

  • JulieDawn

Perhaps Cult’s .1 is an April Fools joke? Ouch, I expected it to get the.2 but never thought it would actually adjust down further.

I feel for the CW and moreso for the cast and crew.

  • Bee

WOOOOO! happy endings was the #1 scripted show in the 8PM hour! RUNAWAY HIT! :)

    .. sigh.

just keepin’ that cable-save dream alive.

  • Felipe Nikita

    Omg Cult ;000000

  • Patrick

wow for Cult. a possible 0.0 on the rest of the episodes?

they should move Grimm to another day

  • Fourat

Touch and cult : big faiiiiiil

  • Alan

The CW should consider on renewing The L.A. Complex now.

  • Fourat

I would like to see happy endings season 4 on tbs

  • Alan

And the CW thought it would do better than Emily Owens M.D. just because it had a TVD actor.

  • Skylar James

and to think they killed Alaric for this crappy show…

  • John A

The LA Complex would get 0.1 too in that slot too. Why would CW want that loser back?

  • Melissa

I assume this is the first scripted show that has got a 0.1 then?

    As of my records, yes.

  • Jamie

Guys, Pedowitz already said he wanted more LA Complex but the Canadian network didnt want anymore.

  • Dan S

The CW where they have to measure their shows in fractions. This network is getting to be an overall embarrassment where they do no better than an infomercial. Touch at 0.5 unfortunately may be Fox’s lowest 1st run scripted show to my knowledge.

  • Nikki

Lol at the CW. That paring on fridays is awful. That poor network. lol well no not really. And i still dont see Nikita being renewed.. even for syndication. I just cant see how.. the ratings the last 2 seasons have been horrible, really bad. no spinning them well at all. I dont get it. But the CW is cracked anyways so i guess. we will see.
