Revolution-Episode-11-The-Stand-02-550x367

Last week Revolution returned with a 2.6 adults 18-49 rating. This week it faces off against the 100th episode of Castle and a rerun of Hawaii Five-0.  It should benefit from another strong lead-in from The Voice (though the ratings probably won't be as enormous as last week's premiere) since America seems to have embraced the singing competition's new judges. So how will Revolution fare? Make your prediction below.

  • Amy

2.4 I don’t think that Revolution and Castle share an audience, but last week’s episode of Revolution was horrible and I usually enjoy watching it.

  • Nick

    Dancing with the Stars: 2.4
    Castle: 2.2

    How I Met Your Mother (R): 1.7
    Rules of Engagement (R): 1.5
    2 Broke Girls (R): 1.8
    Mike & Molly (R): 1.6
    Hawaii Five-0 (R): 1.4

    The Carrie Diaries: 0.4
    Hart of Dixie (R): 0.2

    Bones: 2.0
    The Following: 2.3

    The Voice: 4.5
    Revolution: 2.3

Revolution will have a post-return drop, similar to many cable shows that do this. Nothing to do with Castle.

Come on. Beside few interviews with the cast and creators, ABC doesn’t promote Castle. It was fans support and fans word of mouth that build this show and franchise and ABC gladly took it.

  • HalCapone

2.1. Competition not affecting ratings, just interest level in the show in decline.

    @Oliver
Even though I am a big science fiction/fantasy genre fan, Revolution just doesn’t appeal to me. That being said, I mostly root for all scripted shows and all networks to survive and all cheesy singing competition shows to die. It is kind of bloodsport watching NBC do down, down, down–I almost can’t look away, wondering how low their ratings can sink.

On the other hand, I have big, big issues, like many Americans, with the new owners of NBC (like Harry Potter’s Voldemort nemesis, they shall go unnamed)–they are almost always at or near the top of customer dissatisfaction surveys for all business in America (numero uno on my list of bad companies). So, I guess I do care a little less about the rise or fall of NBC nowadays.

I’m guessing 2.7. A pretty good show and the best new show of the season by far. The climax of the first episode after the hiatus was shocking, to say the least and it’ll bring in viewers.

    @SJ

I don’t watch enough ABC during the week to know for sure, but in the preview for it at the end of last week’s episode, they did mention that this will be Castle’s 100th. They also got pretty explicit that this will be a tribute to Rear Window, which as I see it could either get people to watch or drive them away.

  • maplab98

    2.6-2.7

  • Richard Steven Hack

God, this show is awful. It’s the one show this season I really do root for “dying very badly”. If it weren’t for the promise of more Elizabeth Mitchell, I’d probably have stopped watching. Beauty and the Beast is about on a par with this, maybe even better. CULT makes more sense!

Unfortunately the ratings say it will return for another – no doubt even more awful – season.

I hope Castle get’s a LOT of viewers!

  • Jlopie1

Well, Castle and Revolution don’t necessarily compete, but Castle And H50 definitely do! A lot of H50 viewers will tune in to Castle’s 100th ep tonight, since H50 is a rerun. I think Castle’s viewership will be up, but not necessarily the demo. The Younger H50 viewers will head over to Revolution since they can watch it without feeling guilty about abandoning H50. Still, I feel Revolution’s demo will drop some from last week – maybe 2.4 simply because it’s return was somewhat lackluster.lot’s of fickle viewers out there!

  • rehabber

I will DVR both, so not problem. It is hard for me to believe with DVRs why people have to worry about what to watch. Come into the 21Century. lol

  • Samunto

Given who died last week on Revolution and that new vid from Wondercon i honestly think it will actually rise in the ratings. Castle will still be watched by the same people who tune in to DWTS. See how steady it’s ratings have been.

The Voice might drop only by a tenth given that CBS is in repeats tonight.

  • EatMorePez

    I’ll go with 2.5

10:00 on Mondays is a cut-throat time for dramas. In addition to Revolution and Castle, you’ve got Hawaii 5-0, Bates Motel, Monday Mornings, Lost Girl, and Top of the Lake. I realize the audiences for all of theses shows don’t necessarily overlap, but new episodes of seven dramas in the same time slot is a lot choices for viewers.

  • BigFlop

wrong question, Revolution and Castle don’t share the same audience.
The right poll should be “Predict the Adults 18-49 Rating for ‘Revolution’ without h50.

  • sarah nz

    2.3 maybe

  • NBC Fan

    Last week

The final minute of the Voice:
    17.225 million 6.3 18-49 rating

    First 29 Minutes of Revolution:
    7.631 million 2.8 18-49 rating

  • Rebecca

I watch both online but if I stayed up to watch one live it would be Castle, 100th or not.

  • cimmer

2.3-2.4 but I too don’t think that Castle will be the cause
