This is a special short week version of the post. The table above includes ratings through Wednesday, March 27 only.

No changed predictions from the Cancellation Bear this week, he's soaking up the sun, but it's your chance to be the bear.

Which Fox show(s) not currently renewed or canceled would you devour? (Vote for as many shows, as many times as you want. As are all internet polls, this is meaningless.)

Better to Follow The Bear, Than Be Chased By Him. This season you can follow the Cancellation Bear on Twitter via @TheCancelBear. The Cancellation Bear will retweet all the Renew/Cancel Index post titles and links as well as engage in a little more back and forth banter than we do on our standard @TVbytheNumbers Twitter feed.

*shows no longer on the air have their Renew/Cancel Index "frozen" at the point they left the schedule.

From now through the end of the broadcast season in May, the Renew/Cancel Index values will only be calculated using new episodes airing during 2013. However, until new episodes of a show air in 2013, I will keep the "old"  Fall predictions in the table.

Want to know what the Fox Renew/Cancel Index table looked like at the end of the Fall season? Click here.

Notes:

  • :oops: - certain to be cancelled by May, 2013
  • :cry: :cry:- more likely to be cancelled than renewed by May, 2013
  • :| :| :| - toss up between renewal or cancellation by May, 2013
  • :) :) :) :) - more likely to be renewed than cancelled by May, 2013
  • :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: - certain to be renewed by May, 2013

The Renew/Cancel Index is the ratio of a scripted show's new episode adults 18-49 ratings relative to the new episode ratings of the other scripted shows on its own network. It's calculated by dividing a show's new episode Live+Same Day adults 18-49 average rating by the Live+Same Day new episode average of all the new scripted show episodes on the show's own network. The network's average ratings in the calculation are not time weighted (ex. hour long shows are not weighted twice what 30 minute shows are).

(F) -Fridays: Shows airing on Fridays were renewed with significantly lower than average Indexes.

    @Brad I bet The Cleveland Show will get one more season so FOX can have an easier time syndicating it as a five-season series

    It was already sold into a syndication deal that is why it had the three year pickup deal at the beginning

  • Ultima

    @Joel
    American Idol will hopefully be put to rest in the cancellation heaven. Opening up some time for the Fox schedulers

    American Idol is still FOX’s highest entertainment show, there’s no chance that it will be canceled.

  • Jaime04

    The Cleveland Show – absolutely awful!

    Can’t wait for Season 5 of Glee….bring it on!!

  • rob60990

    I do wonder what FOX will do with The Mindy Project. If it aired at 8, it would do worse than Raising Hope. It doesn’t really fit with Raising Hope where it could air at 8:30. FOX woud be wise to try a new sitcom after New Girl so where would that leave Mindy?

  • Danimals

    Between the three shows Touch deserves like no other! It should 100% of the votes

  • JakeSnake

    lol, if it were up to me I would cancel all three without a second thought.

  • BLR

    I don’t understand why the ratings are so low for “Touch” – it’s an awesome show. Too intellectual for most people would be my guess, but it’s too bad that most of the cerebral shows gets axed due to viewers’ desire for vapid reality trash. Many of the shows I like, they cancel, so I might as well not get attached to any of them. Grrr…

  • Casey B

    If it were an option, I’d feed Idol and X-Factor to the cancellation bear.

    The end of the line has come for them. Best take them behind the shed than let them both become a major drag on the schedule.

  • Alan

    Touch and Cleveland cancelled. Glee renewed for a final season. Fans are delusional if they think it’s going to last losing more than half of their audience in one year

  • marc

    The Cleveland Show: a huge pile of crap!! Third time wasn’t the charm for Seth on this one. He struck out. Finally people are waking up and getting tire of him doing the same crap over and over.

    I voted for Glee to go but will dissapointed that Touch will go.

  • Alan

    @Sky

    Well they did sell over 36 million singles digitally and 11 million ablums and are the group with most singles on billnoard top 100! One song alone sold over 1 million copies!I Know they might be down this year but i was just wondering would it not be still making alot of money from Fox

  • Alan

    Glee would get back their fandom if they cut out the new Cast members and focused on the old ones

  • Michael1

    Glee ran from 8 to 9 in its first season. I would often sit through episodes of that and “Raising Hope” just to avoid missing “Running Wilde.”

  • tomko44

    Why is pretty much every show on the NBC page available to choose, but only three for Fox? If I had my choice it would be The Following. I had to stop watching after the third episode lest I throw something at the TV due to the utter stupidity of the character!

  • NJ Viewer

    If I were running FOX, I’d cancel everything that’s on now.

  • Sky

    @tomko44

    Because all but three shows on Fox have already had their fate decided by the network, whereas on NBC, they have yet to announce their decisions on the majority of their shows.

  • solelle

    I may get crap for this but Glee needs to go it ran its course and lost its charm. There i said it. They could have kept all thise kids in highschool for 3 more years and the show would have been fine now it is just well not fine. Come on the first 90210 had 28 year olds in highschool you cant tell me some of those “kids” were not pushing 30 by graduation. hehe

  • mike

    All three.

    I wouldn’t mind if all the current Animation Domination shows were fed to the cancellation bear, if that were an option. If I managed to cut existing animated series and make way for a couple new ones, I would renew the Simpsons for a final season, and drop both Cleveland Show and American Dad.
