    Just a thought and maybe entirely coincidental but The CW “TV Now” Promo evidently removed TCD and Cult clips from their revisedmulti-show promo posted several days ago and then Cult sunk to 0.1/0 and now TCD, after weeks of (low) “stability” at 0.4, dips lower to 0.3/1.

    @bjssp
    All the more reason to plug in a sitcom at 9:30, I’d say.

    Why are you so obsessed with this idea? Its not a good one.

    Remove the final half hour of The Voice last night and there’s no way its average if a 4.7. Averaging out the half hours from last nights show (which isn’t exactly scientific I know) gives it a 4.4. Still impressive granted but down. Equally it means that NBC lose a 5.3 half hour. Unless a sitcom they launch in that slot is going to pull a 5+ why on earth would they ditch that final half hour of The Voice?

    Thats sad for Carrie. I watch it only when Im bored…i wont be sad but its still sad for its fans.

    But network tv seems to be dying. ABC, NBC, FOX…all drama shows are going downhill. Its a disaster.

    @Alex:

    You say it’s not a good one, but I think it is, because it opens up a slot for NBC to plug in a new comedy on a less competitive night without cutting down too much on The Voice.

    As for that show’s demo numbers, who’s to say the audience won’t adjust accordingly and that the high, high demo ratings for 9:30-10:00 won’t go to 9:00-9:30? There’s not a lot of evidence one way or the other, unless you know of something I don’t. I

    t’s not ridiculous to suggest it would lose out, of course, but even if it did, it might be worth it to have one more chance to develop a scripted hit.

    Revolution is Revolting

  • RG-X

    REVOLUTION?! What?! DOWN?!

    Is this a left over April Fool’s Joke – NOT FUNNY!

  • Ash

    It’s early but if The Voice’s ratings stay above what it was averaging in the fall, why the hell would they want to bring Christina and Ceel-Lo back. It’s clear that the viewers don’t miss them, the new judges seem to have better chemistry and not mention the ratings are better.

  • RG-X

    Revolution is getting Soooo good – I demand a recount !!! I am tired of these so called Nielson Viewers —- they probably watch Honey boo boo.

  • NBC Fan

    @Ash

    They might want to bring them back if Adam and Blake want to take a break.

  • Oliver

    The 12th episode of Smash got 2.0 out of The Voice.

    The 12th episode of Revolution got 2.2 out of The Voice.

    Not exactly a huge improvement…

  • RG-X

    It looks like The Voice is the New American Idol show…

    still can’t get over Revolution drop……argh!

  • Alex

    @bjssp
    You say it’s not a good one, but I think it is…

    ABC tried it with Dancing with the Stars it didn’t work. Fox have tried it with both American Idol and The X Factor and it didn’t work. For a very brief period NBC flirted with the idea of trying it with The Biggest Loser and then they came to their senses. This sticking a random comedy on at 9:30 after these big reality shows just doesn’t work. The reality shows suffer, the sitcom doesn’t last and it usually has a knock-on effect into the 10PM hour as well.

    NBC absolutely need to develop hits but they need to develop hits away from The Voice. They need hits on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. Not more of them on Monday.

  • Amy

    They need to make Miles, Monroe and Neville the main focus of Revolution.

  • a p garcia

    I expected a rating for Revolution like this, what do you expect with a 4 month haitus.

  • LucyFan

    BYE TCD!!!! BATB Love You babe! :p

    (But I’m Scared Season 2 of BATB will SUCK!!!)

  • eridapo

    @ JacobYates

    Using your logic, Castle is the top scripted show of the night.. LOL

  • RG-X

    Tonite – getting rid of “The New Normal” before we get any closer to sweeps…good bye New Normal –

    oh and getting cancelled after one season isn’t new…but it is normal.

  • bjssp

    @Alex:

    I am aware that ABC and Fox have tried it, to varying degrees of success, but that doesn’t mean it won’t work for NBC. In a lot of those cases, the shows the networks tried weren’t very good. When they were (Castle, 24, House), it seemed to give them all a much needed boost. I can only imagine what would have happened had Fox tried it for a whole season with Arrested Development or now with New Girl. It’s easier said than done, of course, to get a quality show, but that shouldn’t stop NBC from trying.

    When did NBC try it with The Biggest Loser, by the way?

    At least we could probably both agree that NBC should give serious consideration to moving Revolution away from Mondays. I could see the show gaining new viewers thanks to Netflix and some smart marketing from NBC, and if it doesn’t, oh well. Meanwhile, a new drama will get a prime spot after The Voice.

  • Brandy

    Noo at Carrie Diaries.

  • bjssp

    Might any other network pick up The Carrie Diaries? Perhaps it’d be a good fit for ABC on Thursdays or Sundays.

    I can only imagine the sort of mud slinging that would happen then, lol.
