All the people who watch revolution have a blackout for a couple of weeks.
I hope they will come back, it’s a good show.

  • Dude

sweeeeet for castle, tying DWTS (shame it couldnt beat it) and revolution, claiming the #1 spot for the night.

i dont really care about revolution since i dont watch it, but with those numbers i would be worried as a fan. it’ll get renewed for season 2 no doubt, but if NBC schedules it away from the voice next season it’ll get murdered most likely. and even if they keep it on monday nights, climbing up the ratings again surely wont be easy, especially with H50 being a repeat tonight.

I’m so excited for the Carrie Diaries season (hopefully not series) finale next week! Have any scoop? —Julius

Ausiello : Exec producer Amy Harris is feeling so optimistic about a renewal that she’s already prepping her pitch to The CW for a possible second season. The theme? The age of innocence… lost! “After those [firsts] have happened and you’ve had some betrayal and some hurt along the way, who do you become?” muses Harris. Ideally, the start of Season 2 will feature “those hot, steamy New York summers mixed with the country club of Castlebury. That is going to lead to some exciting, very sexy stories.” By the way, did you see this tease about a Sex and the City character who’s mentioned in next Monday’s finale? Well, sources confirm to Ask Ausiello exclusively that we “might” meet him/her in the flesh during that aforementioned Season 2 heat wave.

That is interesting lol.Maybe it will end up getting renewed cause its probably cheap to produce anyways. I can see it getting final 13 episodes and that will be its last chance, then it’ll end.

Executive Producers always feel optimistic about renewal. Especially in PR interviews.

Those of you bleating about Revolution’s “horrible” 2.2 rating this week need a bit of perspective. Let’s look at the ratings the rest of NBC’s lineup had last week (re-runs not included:

    The Voice (Tuesday) – 4.1
    Go On – 1.9
    Law & Order: SVU – 1.7
    Chicago Fire – 1.7
    Celebrity Apprentice – 1.5
    Grimm – 1.4
    Smash – 1.0
    Whitney – 1.0
    Whitney – 1.0
    Rock Center – 0.8
    1600 Penn – 0.7
    1600 Penn – 0.7
    Fashion Star – 0.7
    Deceptions last three episodes were 1.1, 1.1 & 1.2
    Parenthood’s season average was 1.84

NBC hasn’t had a scripted drama above a 2.0 since the last week in February when Chicago Fire got a 2.0

Bottom line: It doesn’t matter how low Revolution’s ratings go as long as it keeps running faster than the other buffalo in the herd. Relative placement is the only thing that matters.

Happy for Castle. Last night’s episode was so good.

  • DaxJackson

Worried for Hannibal’s chances starting this Thursday now, looks like a really good show but anything on NBC is being slaughtered now.

  • SJ

Epic episode of Castle! Possibly their best ever. I’m so glad it tied DWTS.

And the Revolution freefall continues… color me unsurprised.

  • Judy912

‘CASTLE’ had one of it’s BEST episodes ever last night. Spectacular ending!!

  • Nikki

lol at TCD.. i really hope Beauty, Carrie and Heart all get canceled come may. It would be icing on the cake if Nikita went too. But 3 out of 4 would be nice.

  • Sam

Do people really believe that Revolution would still be pulling high 2’s if it had aired all through February and March behind The Biggest Loser, SVU or a comedy block? Seriously? Revolution’s numbers would be in the 1’s by now if they had done that. NBC was in a lose-lose situation with the show and they simply decided to delay the inevitable, IMO.

    tcd…nail meet coffin…

are people finally figuring out revolution is mediocre at best???

  • Mickey

Happy to see Castle winning its timeslot. Well deserved!

Me, too. I just wonder if NBC has any spots in its schedule where it might be able to run repeats. Fridays or Saturdays at 10:00, perhaps? If this doesn’t do (relatively) well out of the gate, my guess is that it could actually build, and this would be made all the more easier if NBC could repeat it. But in addition to not having that many slots in general open, it’s supposed to be exceptionally violent and gory, meaning it probably couldn’t even go at 9:00 let alone 8:00.

Then again, I have a theory that the show will basically be renewed as long as it isn’t an absolute bomb. Based on the initial reviews, it’s going to be a creatively successful show. It would behoove NBC in many ways to renew it even if it’s not the biggest success commercially. If it’s not but shows, in some way, it might be, or if NBC feels there’s a way it could grow the show before a second season, it’ll be renewed.

  • CookyMonzta

4.7? Very good. If the Voice can keep this up, and stay above 4.5 for most of the season, they might beat Idol in the demo this year. Idol’s raw average so far (for both days combined) is around 4.2.

  • bjssp

The fall edition of The Voice is already ahead of Idol, although I guess that show could see some increases at the end and pull ahead slightly.

  • Alan

    WHAT? Come on TCD!!

I remember Smash fans making that argument when the ratings followed a similar trajectory behind The Voice. It can’t survive on its own, and would most likely start pulling Deception numbers if it were forced to fend for itself, as it may well have to since I’m sure NBC will want to launch a new show behind The Voice next season.

Im going to give Castle a lot of credit. It’s held on well for 4 yrs now and still has more viewers than all shows in that time slot. last nights episode was great. The chemistry between castle and beckett is the best of any program in all TV, including cable. It’s time these two are giving credit for hard work paying off.

  • Anita

That episode of Castle was priceless and perfect!!
    Loved it!!
