    I will third the request for BBC America’s Supernatural Saturday ratings. Please? I am really eagerly looking forward to seeing how well Doctor Who did (I’m hoping for at least 1-1.5 million viewers, maybe a 0.4-0.5 18-49 rating?). I’m no expert, but something like that would be nice.

  • poweranimals

    Nick, can you post the ratings for Marvin Marvin, Wendell & Vinnie, Supah Ninjas, and Power Rangers?

  • DreamCrusher78

    @Petar Ivanov

    “Game of thrones is the best show this season. HBO air it ALL over the world so even on pay TV is watched from 100 MILLION VIEWERS + in sunday and Monday.”

    Can’t believe anyone would say something so preposterous with zero data to back it up. Just because it’s on, doesn’t mean everyone is watching it. Are you suffering from sour grapes or something?

  • Kbnel

    I commented that it would get a 6.4, I’m not surprised. The hype was through the roof. It was a letdown.

    Since Premium Cable & Regular Cable Channels care more about keeping their current customers happy enough to keep renewing their subscription & getting more subscribers, wouldn’t a “total unique viewers” be most important?

    Which means that for Premium Cable the only number that really matters, at the end of the day, is the total unique viewers for each episode across all airtime’s. For Paid Cable, it’s more what ever demo the advertisers want for each airing & this includes all airings with corresponding ad rates, of course.

    So, I ask, do we have any date about total unique viewers for the HBO/SHO shows, esp the “popular” ones like Game of Thrones & Dexter. Also, for AMC/HIST shows like Walking Dead, The Bible & Vikings, total unique viewers, while not really important due to many more channels on the subscription, an idea of how many check it out, would be nice all the same. Even TNT/USA for shows like Psych etc.

    It’s not like Broadcast, which doesn’t really repeat each and every airing, so many times, each week. Repeats for Broadcast are more about filling the schedule & slightly about trying to showcase their show for syndication & slightly about keeping current live viewers & gaining channel switchers. Cable, esp Premium, doesn’t really do syndication, so most of their repeats is all about the 1st week & during the season.

    If I had a tv & watched live, Cable & Premium, know how to treat their customers right, yes both advertisers & viewers. Running their seasons mostly straight through & giving multiple chances to watch each & every episode. I realize that’s mostly due to time slot availability as far as repeat goes. Cable doesn’t have much in the way of News/Daytime shows b/c their are channels dedicated towards those. That’s unavoidable for Broadcast. But the minimal breaks is. A few shows, The Following/Grimm/Touch & almost all the reality shows are airing with no/few breaks. Personally, I’m also sad that through the years, we also lost about 5 new episodes per season. Just adding those back in, would force very few breaks, esp taking into Christmas’s 2-6 weeks.

    Well i don’t subscribe to HBO but i do watch Game of Thrones. Thanks internet

    @ Nick

    Do you have the total viewers for Nanoboy, Sonic X, Transformers Prime, Justice League Unlimited (3/16 + 3/23), and DBZ Kai from the CW on Saturday? Thanks in advance!

  • huldu

    That season finale episode of walking dead was just plain straight HORRIBLE. Even the two fillers before were a lot better. It just felt like it missed 10-15 minutes. *spoiler* So she died, who cares? She was the most hated character on the show. The plier scene was just a huge laugh. Note how the plier magically turns around between the shots. How something that ridiculously easy to spot even got through editing is beyond me. I guess the squeezed that episode out quickly.

  • Mon

    TBS wanted to be competetive on this night and they did with a surprise TBBT marathon. Good job there.

    TWD spoiler ahead!!!! I am so disappointed on so many things about TWD finale – Andrea’s death (seriously? there us so much potential between her and Michonne and I wanna know how she would adapt to living in prison and reconnect with Rick and co. What a waste), the lack of showdown (that’s it AMC?), the Governor making it out alive (that evil is beyond redemption meaning many wouldn’t care about him so he should have died!)

  • Red Jane

    I don’t watch The Walking Dead as I could not finish the first season (I recall stopping when some bad dude cut his own hand) but its ratings are quite amazing… So congrats!

  • JP

    The Bible was an amazing series – especially the life and death of Jesus… Way to go Mark Burnet & Roma Downey!!! I will watch our Lord and Savior anytime over dead walking zombies. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ forever and ever!!! Amen!!

  • Pat

    @Sarah Bibel,

    I also was curious about the rating for Doctor Who, Orphan Black, and The Nerdist. Are saturday’s cable ratings available anywhere?

  • Layton

    @DreamCrusher78 Maybe he is referring to the fact that it was most pirated episode of all time. Game of Thrones also outsells Walking Dead on Blu-Ray/DVD which shows something. I do think HBO needs to do something about the OS audience. They probably should sell HBO GO subscriptions OS.

  • DreamCrusher78

    @Layton

    HBO air it ALL over the world so even on pay TV is watched from 100 MILLION VIEWERS + in sunday and Monday.

    Yes, I’m sure he was referring to DVD sales and piracy since he/she didn’t mention DVD sales or piracy at all. And what does outselling TWD have to do with anything?

  • Layton

    @DreamCrusher78 It just shows that Game of Thrones has the most rapid fan base, the Blu Ray sales show that. And unlike Walking Dead or any show on Broadcast TV it matters more to HBO. HBO cares little about ratings more about subscriptions and Blu-Ray/DVD sales and Game of Thrones is helping them in both.

    BBC America Saturday ratings per a press release at the Futon Critic:

    Doctor Who – 1.496 million (2.019 million Live+SD)
    Orphan Black – 0.684 million (1.026 million Live+SD)
    The Nerdist – 0.325 million (0.430 million Live+SD)

    The 2012 Christmas special had 1.4 million for the first broadcast, but rose to 2.4 million for Live + 7 Days, so Saturday’s mid-season premiere should be similar. I’m sure BBC America is pleased.

    Orphan Black didn’t premiere as well as Copper (1.1 million vs. 0.684 million), but BBC America is probably relatively pleased. I think only the first two seasons of Torchwood (and Doctor Who, obviously) have ever rated higher in the Saturday 9pm slot (0.684 million is much higher than the ratings for shows like Primeval, Being Human, etc.).

    As another point of comparison, the premiere of Ripper Street had 0.552 million viewers, and the whole season averaged 0.373 million. As long as Orphan Black’s season average ends up in the 0.4-0.5 million range, I’m guessing it will probably be renewed.

    The Nerdist ratings appear low, but that’s actually better than Grahamm Norton in that slot (which I think was averaging only 0.2 million), and it’s cheap to produce, so that’a a qualified success as well.

  • Kangaroo Dan

    @ Nick, do you have ratings for Yu-gi-Oh! and Yu-gi-oh! Zexal on Saturday on the CW?

  • THE OLD MAN

    Astounding numbers for the top four! WTG!!

  • David

    What does the ‘M’ stand for in HBOM?

  • teeveegirl

    Any numbers for “Can Dinner Save My Family” on Food?
