Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

REVENGE NEVER went below a 2.1 last season, what are u talking about?

  • Michelle

@Densino you must have a large ego to be calling yourself the MAJORITY

  • reward

    Im just curious.
Do you, Americans, love the word “flop”?
I’ve been reading this site for 3 years and when a show dips … FLOPPP.
    It’s funny.

  • Gio

Oh, please, The Following is NOT flopping. 2.2 without a lead in like The Voice and competing with this monstrous show… Ryan Hardy is doing fine.

  • Juan

Castle was increadible yesterday, one of the best castle episodes and glad it went up

  • bjssp

IF ABC were to move Dancing, where would it go? Part of me thinks ABC could kind of bold and move it to Thursdays and Fridays. At this point, its demo is likely to move with it, and it might be the best way to help ABC overall. But then, what would go on Mondays and Tuesdays?

As many of you know, I have suggested NBC try a comedy on Mondays at 9:30 (and then maybe 9:00 at midseason), but might it be a good idea for ABC to do the same, regardless of what happens on Tuesdays? Dancing it still a pretty decent lead in in today’s environment, and ABC needs another sitcom hit somewhere on its schedule. I could see one or two sitcoms on Monday and the same on Tuesday. If even one of them works, ABC will be in good shape, and the more room it makes, even if that means trimming Dancing, the more chances the network has.

  • Densino

    …you’re such a FLOP

  • MichaelChickless

    Go Bones!

Where did everybody go at 10:00? (though good showing for Castle)

  • Oliver

Sunday or Tuesday (putting a shortened results show at 10:30, leaving space for another comedy at 10).

  • Potato

Kinda surprised Revolution dropped, I thought last weeks was a lot better than most of what we got in the fall. Well, it’s probably still getting renewed– I wouldn’t be surprised if it got the Smash treatment (renewed, moved away from the voice, the network shocked when it couldn’t stand on it’s own, moved to saturdays)

  • Samu

    Revolution… D’OH! D: D: D:

  • Petar Ivanov

@ “Revolution” is tolerable but mediocre, and “The Following” is considered a “so bad it’s good” show. Neither is considered anywhere near the best TV has to offer.

Taste and best are subjective for me they are but Revolution is higher rated new show of the season and the following is second higher rated new shows of the season. Both best networks scripted shows. That is not subjective. I guess now you are ok with that.

  • Alex

    @Petar Ivanov
Not true. Its was best 10 pm show but was below 2 in at least 2-3 episodes in April and May. I remmember 1.7 for example.

Faulty memory I’m afraid. Revenge didn’t drop below a 2 for an original episode in April or May. Its ratings for that period were:

Didn’t drop below a 2 at any point which continues to make you wonder why ABC thought moving it from that slot was a good idea. But that’s another story entirely.

  • Other Than THAT Mrs. Lincoln How Was The Play

I never Followed The Following because I wasnt following their thinking on why the followers of The Following would keep following that show as the number of followers decreased.

Revolution? The worst number is the number of viewers in millions = 6.66. The Devil is in the details as they say. Literally. So why again did some crazy asst secretary of defense plunge the world into darkness and wait 15 years before deciding to come out from underground and actually do something? Oh yeah, because his son died in Afganistan – makes perfect sense! LOL! Then to top it off Mr. DOD Krazy chooses an idiot like this Monroe idiot to calls himself a general. All we need now is for Kevin Costner in a postmans uniform to show up and challenge Monrroe to a fight for control of the republic. And Tom Petty should show up too and start playing Free Falling on his guitar while they fight. Predict renewal as long as it stays over 1.7 but it will likely be moved to another time slot and be cancelled midway through Season 2.

  • iMember

@Petar Ivanov Revenge’s lowest rating last season was a 2.0. It NEVER went below that last season.

You can check this very site and you’ll see it for yourself.

  • Dan S

Whoa at falling ratings for The Following & Revolution. I know from time to time shows will dip but bounce back. I hope that’s the case for these 2 shows. I realize not everyone shares the same interests in these type of programs but I’m quite certain that Revolution will get renewed next season. I would suggest to NBC to run it uninterrupted & not put it on a long 4 month hiatus next season.

    Densino, I know.
