Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Most of you guys are idiots. I wonder how many people can use the word flop in their comment? Just accept that people like different shows. Some people must like the following as it does decent for Fox, and Revolution does decent for NBC. I’d like to see what kind of shows you consider good.

  • FringeFan

I’ve been saying for weeks “The Flopping” would crash and burn. Time to move it to Friday’s next season because it will continue to slide! By the finale it will be below 1.5.

  • Alex

REVENGE NEVER went below a 2.1 last season, what are u talking about?

Also not true. It hit a 2.0 the week before its finale opposite the 2 hour Criminal Minds season finale.

  • KS

Revolution is still a long way to actually fall into the zone of cancellation. So, no worries.

But I am enjoying Revolution much more than before.

Not true. Its was best 10 pm show but was below 2 in at least 2-3 episodes in April and May. I remmember 1.7 for example.

Maybe the best show on ABC, but Hawaii Five-0 was the highest rated 10 pm show on broadcast last season :)

  • Bee

the following and revolution are doing fine, but clearly have lost almost all their novelty/hype already.

  • Potato

@Reward– basically, anyone who isn’t using the word “flop” finds it’s usage on this site to be incredibly annoying. And no, it’s not even a common American expression. It’s usually used to mean something is DOA and I have virtually no idea why it’s used on this site for shows that aren’t on their first season.

  • Petar Ivanov

@Faulty memory I’m afraid. Revenge didn’t drop below a 2 for an original episode in April or May. Its ratings for that period were:

Didn’t drop below a 2 at any point which continues to make you wonder why ABC thought moving it from that slot was a good idea. But that’s another story entirely.

ME – ooopssssssss bad memory indeed.

  • Petar Ivanov

@Maybe the best show on ABC, but Hawaii Five-0 was the highest rated 10 pm show on broadcast last season
Yep that was my point best 10 pm show on abc. Thanks.

  • Charmed

Oh no, TCD will adjust down :(

  • reward

    Potato, thank u :)
I tought it was a word to use in this case for some reason that I dont know ;)

  • Joseph A

I like the Voice , but then so does much of the audience which is probably due to the demographic it is trying to reach ,,
The Voice , is Latin, Country , With Some Indi and Mainstream Urban sounds.
That is unlike American Idol that has gone for mostly a Black Demographic and some fringe interest in other musical interests

  • Jackson

Revolution would probably average a between 1.6-1.8 without The Voice

  • Fourat

I’m afraud that revolution will adjust down as always . Don’t.know why but i ve never seen revolution adjusting up

  • Ultima

And I still think that Fox renewed The Following too soon.

Even hitting a low of 2.2, The Following is still FOX’s highest rated drama and you think it should be canceled?

  • bjssp

    @Petar Ivanov:

I was initially skeptical that NBC was wise to pick up Hannibal when Fox picked up The Following for a few reasons, but based on the initial reviews I’ve read, Hannibal is far and away a superior show. I kind of liked The Following but haven’t seen it in a few weeks and feel no rush to get back into it. (I’ll probably do it this summer.) I wonder if Hannibal will suffer in comparison.

  • Billy

The Voice held up very well. It is now stronger than American Idol.

DWTS skews so old. ABC needs to put that on for just one cycle a year.

  • Michael

Shakira can speak Portuguese to me ALL DAY! <3

  • Billy

CBS sitcoms once repeated so well. They do not repeat that well anymore.
