    @Garebelman
    Why did FOX renew the Mindy Project again?

    FOX likes renewing things. They need to balance out their karma for repeatedly cancelling shows like Firefly, Dollhouse, TSCC, etc.

    And why in the hell is NBC airing DOA New Normal after the Voice?

    They didn’t order enough Ready for Love.

    And why is Hannibal still debuting in the DOA time slot??

    Where else would it air? Also, the whole Rock Center thing didn’t go over well with advertisers.

    @Rill

    This is Hollywood. They always change their minds. I do hope Ushe and Shakira stay too, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

  • Frank

    TNN gets 0.7 without the Voice so unless NBC plans to constantly air it after the Voice in order to get mediocre ratings out if it (instead of using that slot for a new show that may be able to pull over 2.0) then they need to cancel it immediately.

    More episodes with Jeri Ryan in a bra and panties and the ratings of BOP will go back up again. ;)

  • omabin

    I still say that BoP has a chance, even though it looks worse than last week. Regardless, likely to be canceled it certainly isn’t, it is a bubble show in every sense of it.

    Also, the fact that the results show from DWTS was able to beat the always higher rated performance shows only supports what I have been saying: ABC needs to get DWTS as far away from The voice as possible and that means sending it to save its troubled sundays while getting its serialized shows out of there!

  • TVMAN

    Goodbye New Normal. FOX is prob regretting the renewal of Mindy Project. I understand why they renewed, Mindu, like Zooey(NG) attract a younger audience Fox is looking for. But FOX only has 4 comedy spots. Their not going to debut only one new comedy come fall with Raising Hope/NG/Mindy….

  • CookyMonzta

    4.5? Excellent What did The Voice get for Monday’s show? 4.8? Right now, Idol is averaging 4.3 and 4.0 for both of its days. Those 2s and 3s are dragging it down. If the Voice can keep this up (holding mid-to-upper-4s), it will definitely beat Idol in the demo this year.

    @Ultima

    Friday at 10PM after Grimm, and get rid of low rated Rock Center would be a perfect choice for Hannibal. And put Dateline back Friday at 8.

  • Kyle

    If TNN pulling a 1.7 after one of the best lead-ins on television makes it a “hit” and a lock for renewal, then by TNN fans’ logic, Community is the flagship NBC comedy. It pulled a 1.9 for one episode with no lead-in! Forget all those 1.1s, it pulled a relatively large number once! Doesn’t work like that. Only way TNN could possibly be renewed would be because NBC knows Ryan Murphy will take it personally like the egotistical manchild he is.

  • omabin

    Also, I agree with the whole “why the hell was mindy renewed vibe?”. Fox has such limited amount of space in its schedule, I don’t know why it renewed a performer like this, they sure couldn’t believe that they couldn’t do better.

    @Ultima,

    I am sorry, but there were other options for Hannibal. Tuesdays were wide open, they could have just stuck with Ready for Love for Sundays as originally planned. This is what I would have done for NBC come midseason:

    Tuesday
    The Voice
    Grimm
    Hannibal

    Thursday
    Community
    Parks and Recreation
    The Office
    Go On (They got this one right, but I would have saved more episodes)
    Fashion Star

    Friday
    Dateline
    Dateline
    Rock Center

    Sunday
    Ready for Love
    The Apprentice
    The Apprentice

    Sounds much more consistent to me!

  • TVDude

    @Ultima,

    I agree with you 100% regarding TNN. Not only did it do worse than Go On behind The Voice, but The Voice was UP from last week. A 1.7 demo behind a 4.5 demo is terrible. Go On’s 1.9 wasn’t good either, but it’s still better (and after a smaller Voice demo).

    I’m seeing Fan Excuse Bingo being played like a champ from TNN fans. It’s over and in a month, it’ll be confirmed. If they need a cheap show to fill a midseason gap, Whitney or Community will be cheaper and rate better.

  • Ken

    The only reason I can think of Fox wanting to keep Mindy is either having no faith in their new comedy pilots – like at all – or they want to try using Mindy like CBS has used Rules of Engagement, as scheduling spackle.

    I like TNN, but the only way I’d see it and even Go On coming back is for a half-season order to give them time to promote new shows midseason. Just a guess.

  • senhor.do.mar

    The Voice slaying without Floptina. Shakira and Usher should stay if they want to keep the ratings as high as these. NBC will be crazy if they don’t keep them.

  • omabin

    I meant to have 2 hours of Ready for Love and 1 of the apprentice on sunday, sorry

  • Kangarookeeper

    People who discredit The Voice keep posting that The Voice Wed. had a 3.9 rating last weeek (initial rating before adjustment), even though it had a final rating of 4.1 which they refuse to admit . I guess for the haters The Voice went up 6 tenths. HA HA HA !!

  • Matt

    Body of Proof will get renewed. With the latest ratings surge, it has stabilized. The plot has also thickened and the suspense has been highered this season, due to the fact of the 13 episodes. Very eventful.

  • rob60990

    Kinda off topic but according to deadline, USA has expressed interest in Happy Endings.

  • NBC Fan

    I don’t like it when people say a show needs a big lead-in in it’s first season to become sucessful. There are plenty of shows that grew from their lead-in in their first season. The Middle had Modern Family Repeats and Hank as it’s lead-in in it’s first season and yet it was still able to average a 2.3 rating. New Girl grew from Glee on almost every occasion. Even Modern Family grew from it’s lead-in(The Middle)

  • Kangarookeeper

    I meant The Voice Tuesday.

  • Ultima

    @omabin
    I am sorry, but there were other options for Hannibal.

    Apparently, NBC wants/needs a drama on Thursday night.

    I don’t see why Tuesday is a good option. Sure, the nights where The Voice is two hours, awesome! The nights where The New Normal is the lead-in, not so much.

    Hannibal is going to have two eps of Go On, three of Parks & Rec and two of The Office for lead-ins (all original). It’s not a terrible timeslot.
