TNT has released details about the Dallas season finale, which will air from 8-10PM on April 15.

Dallas Season Finale Part 1: "Guilt By Association" – Monday, April 15, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT)
When John Ross and Pamela make a shocking discovery about an enemy's whereabouts the night J.R. was killed, Bobby is compelled to reveal more of J.R.'s master plan to them and ask for their help in a surprising way. Meanwhile, Christopher heads out to search for his mother, but as an unexpected secret comes to light, a rift drives Christopher and Elena apart. At the same time, Sue Ellen makes an impassioned plea to convince Ken Richards (guest star Lee Majors) to do the right thing, even though it may have dire consequences for him.

Dallas Season Finale Part 2: "Legacies" – Monday, April 15, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT)
In the electrifying second season finale, the Ewings unite to execute J.R.'s master plan. Twists and turns abound as each family member tries to ensure its success in ways that would make even a scoundrel like J.R. Ewing proud. When the shocking answer to the question "Who killed J.R.?" is finally revealed, the stage is deliciously set for new alliances and new battles to begin.

  • Joe

Certainly sounds like the finale sets up a third season but where is the announcement??

  • John A

Come on announce season 3 already.

  • Mr. Smith

Is it possible for TNT to move this back to summer or late summer?

  • DenverDean

@Mr. Smith – I hope that they try to launch at least 10 episodes this summer. Winter is just not a good match for DALLAS.

  • Zachary

I can’t wait for the season finale!!!!!! Hope Dallas gets renewed for Season 3 because Dallas makes my Monday nights much better and really enjoyable!!!!!

  • Ryan Healey

Well, this is certainly worded as if Season 3 has been greenlit. TNT really has to move the show back to summer. This “winter season” did not work well in ratings and was a bit of a blunder. I can’t imagine TNT cancelling the most known show on it’s entire network because IT didn’t order enough of the first season and had to scramble to get it back on the air ASAP causing it to compete with original programming on all the major networks, which was the cause of the ratings decline. The writing is EXCELLENT!

I honestly feel they have to bring in a few more original cast members to try and fill some of the void left by Hagman’s death. As terrific a job as they have done, you can’t have Bobby, Sue Ellen and an occasional glimse of Cliff Barnes represent the entire original show with a couple cameos from others. Write in a few more for season 3, leaving Patrick Duffy and Linda Grey with highest billing. They ARE the stars now.

  • Paul

Please bring Jenna Wade back. Morgan Fairchild portrayed the character originally and she was awesome! She looks almost the same also. Still beautiful.

  • Richard Steven Hack

I’ll agree about Morgan Fairchild. The woman is one year younger than me (I’m 64) and not a wrinkle on her. She either has had work done – or she drinks blood at night. :-)

  • DreamCrusher78

I’ve not seen this current season of Dallas yet because the winter shift messed up my schedule, but I will catch up and really hope TNT return to summer with the show. It was perfect for summer. Still not sure why they moved it.

  • Max

Everyday I’m waiting to hear that Dallas has been renewed for season 3. They need to let us know so we can enjoy the season finale without worrying.

  • Gayle

When I heard they were bringing Dallas back I groaned. As someone who never missed an episode when it originally aired, I thought there is no way they can recreate the drama, intrigue, and delicious wickedness of J.R. and the rest of the cast. Was I wrong! It felt seemless – as though they picked up right where they left off with the exception of Victoria Principal not being on the show. The writing is excellent and I love the “new blood” integrated with the original cast members. I can’t wait to see what’s next. And I don’t often say that about anything on t.v.!!!

  • jr YOU WING

It looks like it will be renewed. It needs to start to be on this summer, 2013, or next summer, 2014. This summer would be too quick to film it though. Do 12 episodes of season 3 and start it Memorial Day week 2014 at the earliest, if not in 2013. The writing is excellent now. John Ross fits well with little Pam. Bobby’s wife is a waste. Bring back more of Ray Krebs too.

  • Melanie P.

I am hoping and praying that Dallas gets a third season. This show has been on fire!!

  • Greg

Jenna Wade was played by Priscilla Presley, and I’d LOVE for her to return!

We can FORGET about Victoria Principal…she recently announced she is not going to return as Pam, out of respect to the Bobby and Pam love story. WHATEVER, MARY! Victoria, you just don’t give a rats arse about the fans wanting their Pam back!

I SAY RECAST THE ROLE! ***** YOU, VICTORIA! I loved you until you made this recent comment about Pam/Dallas. Harumph!

  • Challenger

I just hate the fact that we hate to wait until probably next winter or summer in 2014 for Dallas season 3. This show has been flawless this season and its really been getting edge of your seat lately as we get into the finale.

  • robby

i say bring it back in the late summer of this year

  • Mark

greg, i met priscilla presley this january after a play she did in london. i asked her about coming back to dallas. she told me, she was asked to, but she couldn’t, because of the play in london. she told me also, that she would be very interested to be part of the 3rd season… let’s hope, would be brilliant!

  • Mike

I’m a little confused by TNT not announcing a renewal for season 3 yet. The numbers this year are just slightly down from season 1, mainly due to it being moved into the winter season. If you watch the ratings, weekly, and I have, they are steady without any real dropoff. Usually, if it’s decided to wrap a show, execs will flow the final episodes in that direction, and that’s not what’s happening here. They seem to be building for additional story lines, which would suggest a season 3.

I don’t think it will be cancelled, I think what’s taking so long is TNT trying to determine strategy for the show…summer versus winter, what night to air it on, etc…Dallas is the flagship show of TNT, and TNT has renewed quite a few shows for many seasons with far lower ratings than Dallas (See: Southland).

TNT Execs expected a drop off this season due to the show going up against network shows. TNT Pres. (Koonin) commented that the ratings are right where they thought they would be. That doesn’t sound like a show soon to be cancelled. However, the silence for us fans is just dragging on…come on TNT, give us something!!!
