TNT has released details about the Dallas season finale, which will air from 8-10PM on April 15.

Dallas Season Finale Part 1: "Guilt By Association" – Monday, April 15, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT)
When John Ross and Pamela make a shocking discovery about an enemy's whereabouts the night J.R. was killed, Bobby is compelled to reveal more of J.R.'s master plan to them and ask for their help in a surprising way. Meanwhile, Christopher heads out to search for his mother, but as an unexpected secret comes to light, a rift drives Christopher and Elena apart. At the same time, Sue Ellen makes an impassioned plea to convince Ken Richards (guest star Lee Majors) to do the right thing, even though it may have dire consequences for him.

Dallas Season Finale Part 2: "Legacies" – Monday, April 15, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT)
In the electrifying second season finale, the Ewings unite to execute J.R.'s master plan. Twists and turns abound as each family member tries to ensure its success in ways that would make even a scoundrel like J.R. Ewing proud. When the shocking answer to the question "Who killed J.R.?" is finally revealed, the stage is deliciously set for new alliances and new battles to begin.

I agree with all of the comments here!! I’m ready for a renewal as well. I would love to see a fall premiere.

As a child of the 70′s and 80′s and a fan of the original series, what’s been the most exciting aspect of the new series for me is that my 21 year old twins LOVE this show!! My son is obsessed with Julie Gonzalo (Pamela) and my daughter loves Josh Henderson (John Ross – but who doesn’t?)

Sooo ready for the finale and season 3 and very proud of the way the writers have treated J.R.’s legacy!

@Greg- I agree. I’m open to them recasting Pamela Ewing, if Victoria Principal just doesn’t want to come on board.

  • Sarah

Dallas is the only reboot I’ve ever enjoyed. I think what they are doing with the it is amazing. It should be renewed, I don’t even know what else airs on TNT.

  • Clint

I disagree about returning it to the summers. That is too much of a time frame for a cliffhanger type of show like Dallas. People forget the story too quickly. It definitely isn’t going to return this summer because there is no time to film it. I would return it this fall but I would consider moving it back to Wednesdays. The show’s auidence has been very steady and pretty good considering all the Monday competition.

It’s taken a bit of time, but this continuation of Dallas is finally starting to have the same feel as the original series. With that in mind, here are a couple of thoughts about the future. First off, 15 episodes- great idea. 20 would be even better but I suppose TNT doesn’t have the kind of resources one might find at one of the major broadcast networks. Second, try starting season 3 sometime around May 15. This way all of the Fall series have finished their seasons and Dallas can run without the considerable competition that cut down the outstanding season 1 ratings. Finally, a note to Josh Henderson: DON’T PLAY JOHN ROSS WITH SUCH ANGER!!! The thing that made J.R. so enjoyable (maybe even lovable) was the gleeful twinkle we saw in his eye even as he was sticking it to someone. We know you don’t want simply to recreate J.R.–nor should you–but you’ve shown the talent to play the character with depth. Just add a little humor.

TNT should absolutely renew Dallas for a season 3 and season 4. I agree with many of the other fans that it should be moved to late summer as the winter is not a good fit for this reboot. Dallas is so entertaining with this reboot and can’t wait for the season finale which I’m sure will be a true cliff hanger in the true Dallas tradition. Please TNT get off the couch and announce the renewal for Dallas.

  • Patricia

I really enjoy Dallas and I for one think running the show in the fall/winter months is where you will find people watching the show running in the summer you are not going to get people inside to sit down and watch the show cause there are lots of get together’s on nice warm nights. I never want the show to end it is the best show aired.

Ditto! TNT needs to give us MORE episodes (at least 18 per season) but 20 or 22 is even better, split the seasons into “six packs” with cliff hangers STARTING late summer 2013 so the viewers don’t forget and lose interest, thus declining ratings. That’s 6 weeks straight of Dallas late THIS summer, 6 spring 2014 and 5 weeks (2 hour season finale) summer 2014. Move it BACK to Wednesday nights and bring back more original cast members with longer story lines, really dig in and get some ole fashioned Ewing oil slinging going on. Assign the returning cast member there own writer for there character for that season. I can certainly handle more than 3 story lines going at at time, thus then there’s something for everyone and more viewers can what “there” looking for instead of tuning in, seeing a couple story lines and not have a big interest in any of them. Lucy, Ray, Val, Gary, JR’s Ex and lovers/enemies should be crawling outta the woodwork (at least the ones he didn’t put “under”. There’s 14 seasons of material and “people” that Jock, JR and the Ewings done dirty. Let’s see some revenge for ratings. Heh Heh Heh. That’s my $.99 worth!

  • Kenn

Every episode gets better and better – even without JR (the wonderful Larry Hagman) – it’s delicious fun to watch this show evolve week after week. Okay fans, let’s kick it up a notch – where/who do we write and how do we motivate a commitment for season three! And hey TNT – Dallas was dropped almost as a surprise in January, when you commit to season three (and you should), PROMOTE, PROMOTE, PROMOTE and the fans will follow… nearly 7M people tuned in at the series premiere – you’ll get everyone back when they realize the show is on and that it’s the story lines kick the other networks drama dribble!

I really hope this series is renewed. This has been the best tv series since LOST. Can’t wait for Season 3!!!!

  • BBrou

What is impressive, is that the show continues with the original formula of fast moving storylines, without losing any of the required details.

Today’s network dramas take WAY too long to get to crucial story points (Revolution, my goodness, get on with it, while shows like Dallas, SOA, can move quickly through story lines.

Great job, look forward to season 3.

  • Jules

Come on TNT annouce Season 3 renewal!!!

  • JP

My wife and I love Dallas. I really do not understand how the show could get any better than it already is! Surprisingly I have not missed the character of J.R. I think the new kids on the block are doing a great job. Thank you TNT!

  • Starstrucknut

I agree with Gayle…this show is awesome. I was a huge fan of Dallas and watched faithfully in the 80s. I have every season on dvd plus the new Dallas from last season. This show must be renewed. Even though the ratings will never match what it was in the 80s because of so many networks now it still is an excellent show. The writing is fantastic. The new characters compliment Linda Gray, Patrick Duffy, J R Ewing (RIP). I look forward to Monday’s now because of Dallas. I do think it would do better if it did not have to fight for ratings with The Voice and Dancing with the Stars. To me Thursday night would be a good night for Dallas. There isn’t much on the major networks to me. Needless to say I want this show renewed again and again. It is one of best television dramas on tv today! RENEW IT TNT!!!!

  • Chris

I love this show!!! The writers and actors are doing a wonderful job!!! Show more of Bobby!! TNT, PLEASE RENEW FOR A THIRD SEASON!!!!!!!!

  • Cindy

I’ve faithfully watched Dallas (both of them!) since day one and this show is really firing on all 8 cylinders now. Come on, TNT, please announce we are getting a Season 3!!!!

  • Jan

They have just announced there will be a Season 3 but it won’t air until Summer of 2014.

  • Prince Bird

I have a feeling, based on the hints, that Elena’s mom (The Maid) shot JR. Why, we shall find out. Then again, maybe Drew did it. Regardless, expect Elena to turn heel, and John Ross and Pam II become baby faces.

Cliff will get a job with Ryland, after his business goes under, and Elena will be joining them.

    New Team:

Ewing: Bobby, Sue Ellen, Chris, John Ross, Pamela

    Barnes/Ryland: Harris, Cliff,Elena

Prison; The Maid, Drew, The Henchman

Sidelines: Bobby’s wife and step daughter

  • Prince Bird

This could be interesting. What if Cliff had an affair with the made, and Drew is Cliff’s biological son. Thus making Drew and Pamela half siblings.
And the maid, was secretly giving Cliff all of the private info, until, it was time for the maid to shoot JR. Call this crazy, but this might be the solution to the puzzle.

  • Prince Bird

What if Elena is Pamela’s half sister, and that Elena is really a Barnes.

  • Pams Yams

I LOVE this show!!! They simply must bring it back for season 3,4,5,6,7,& 8! I am that age range they want to reach, I am 32. I don’t remember a lot about the original but bought several seasons this past week and plan on catching up. John Ross and Pamela are by far the best on the show. Jesse Metcalfe is kind of a yawn but it is a damned good show.
