    During a commercial, flipping through the guide, I saw that Fox News had Huckabee on…..

    Like a dumb person in all those scary movies…… during that scene where the person just shouldn’t go find out what that noise was…..

    Like a dumb person, I turned on MSNBC……

    I just can’t take these people seriously. I also just can’t take how people can watch this crap and actually believe what this @ss has to say.

    Heads in the sand!!

    PS: all you international travelers & Domestic flights, customs and security have got much better at speeding things up, TSA is really getting much better now. Bravo….

    *****************************************
    Think that’s tied to the fact some Republicans have hinted at replacing TSA with private companies? lol

  • Jules

    Well, Fox may have all these large numbers but it proves only that Fox has “passive” watchers. Obama got a second-term so Fox’s propaganda is having little effect on the multitude of morons who watch it.

    Well, Main stream Media may have all these large numbers but it proves only that Mainstream Media has “uneducated” watchers. Obama got a second-term so Main stream Media propaganda is having a big effect on the multitude of morons who watch it.

    @Faith3 A cut in a normal budget would be like this last year you 1 million dollars you decide to cut 3% so you will only have 970,000 dollars to spend this year.
    Now in washington DC they have base line budget so you had 1 million dollar budget last year all budgets increase by 8% so you have 1 million 80 thousand dollar budget this year, but congress say we need to cut so all budget only get increase by 5% so your budget this year now is 1 million 50 thousand dollars, still more that million dollars you got last year. This is the phoney cuts Hillbilly is talking about. All smoke and mirrors

    Or a simple decrease in the in crease. They are covering that line up. Everyone should be screaming , Decrease in the increase!

  • Coffee Steve

    Goooooooood Morning Everyone

    Forecast for here

    today 74, sunny, then 80, 81 74 (Thunderstorms) Late Wed and Thursday

    Won’t be on much, spending day with my just returned family. Now that they have returned Rats and can say, they went to Niddrie Scotland for the mission trip, close to Portbello. They are kinda strick on Christian stuff there, and on most missions trips we have to be careful about the location of them till we return.

  • Coffee Steve

    Strict

  • Coffee Steve

    @Rats and Everyone

    You have to try the Dark Pudding over there :-)

  • d.d.

    @Coffee,

    If you are talking about blood pudding, I’ll pass.

    I’d much rather have English sticky pudding.

    I tend to follow the news from my native state of WI

    Wisconsin’s formerly-forced union members continue to organize with their feet.

    According a Labor Department filing made last week, membership at Wisconsin’s American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Council 40 — one of AFSCME’s four branches in the state — has gone from the 31,730 it reported in 2011, to 29,777 in 2012, to just 20,488 now. That’s a drop of more than 11,000 — about a third — in just two years. The council represents city and county employees outside of Milwaukee County and child care workers across Wisconsin.

    Labor Department filings also show that Wisconsin’s AFSCME Council 48, which represents city and county workers in Milwaukee County, went from 9,043 members in 2011, to 6,046 in 2012, to just 3,498 now.

    Note that these folks apparently aren’t actually going to a new union; they seem to much prefer having no union at all.

    good morning
    cloudy and 40 here we had .59 inches of rain overnite.were expecting freezing rain tuesday night.

  • Mikey O

    @Doug Z Or a simple decrease in the in crease. They are covering that line up. Everyone should be screaming , Decrease in the increase!

    My Example was just a million we are talking billion dollar budgets here. The big Joke is the 10 year budget projections it’s a waste of time and not worth the paper its written on. They cant get a one year budget right and the cant hold future congress to thatbudget plan. All smoke and mirrors.

  • Mikey O

    @1966 Congrats this weekend :(

    PROMISES, PROMISES: Obama’s IOUs start coming due

    By CALVIN WOODWARD
    Associated Press

    WASHINGTON (AP) — Presidential campaigns are long in the making, quick to be forgotten. But one part of them lives on for years: the victor’s promises.

    President Barack Obama paved his path to re-election with fewer promises than in 2008. The ones he did lay down, though, are meaty, legacy-shaping for him and consequential to ordinary lives today and for generations to come, for better or worse.

    They also are extraordinarily difficult to achieve in a time of gridlock grief and budgets that are tight when they are not paralyzed.

    He’s promised to set a course in law against global warming, stop Iran from gaining the ability to make nuclear weapons, slash America’s use of foreign oil, restrain college costs, take a big bite out of the national debt even while protecting the heart of the big entitlement programs and overhaul immigration law.

    He’s promised to make health insurance not only universally accessible, but “affordable,” through a 2010 health care law that is finally entering prime time and will soon be tested.
