NCAA.com Announces All-Time March Madness® Players, Team and Moment Part of Season-Long Celebration to Commemorate 75 Years of the NCAA Tournament NCAA.com, managed by Turner Sports, today announced the All-Time March Madness Players, Team and Moment, as part of the season-long celebration to commemorate 75 years of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship. The final results feature some of the game’s most iconic players, the last undefeated champion and a historic buzzer-beater.
The NCAA will honor the Top All-Time March Madness Team and the Top All-Time March Madness Moment at halftime of the Wichita State/Louisville game, and the Top 15 All-Time March Madness Players during halftime of the Syracuse/Michigan game on Saturday, April 6, in Atlanta.
Based on votes from fans and NCAA experts, the following are the Top 15 All-Time March Madness Players

Earvin “Magic” Johnson
The All-Time March Madness Team and the All-Time March Madness Moment – selected solely by fan voting – include the 1976 Indiana University Hoosiers and the legendary buzzer-beating shot made by Duke’s Christian Laettner in the Blue Devils’ win over Kentucky in the 1992 East Regional Final.
“We had such a tremendous response from the fans. The players, team and moment personify greatness at the collegiate level and culminate 75 Years of March Madness,” said Dan Gavitt, NCAA vice president of men’s basketball championships. “We look forward to honoring these players, team and moment, with the fans, during the national semifinals.”
NCAA basketball experts participating in the All-Time March Madness Player voting included members of the U.S. Basketball Writers Association, the College Sports Information Directors of America, the National Association of Basketball Coaches, current and former members of the Division I Men’s Basketball Committee, the Final Four Coaches Club (coaches who previous led their teams to the Final Four) and NCAA media partners.
