The sixth season of Mad Men premieres tonight. It's the Emmy darling that put AMC on the map, though its ratings have now been dwarfed by The Walking Dead's.  Its fifth season premiere scored a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating and the fifth season finale earned a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating. Tonight, Mad Men has the advantage of facing repeats on the broadcast networks, but the disadvantage of facing off against week two of Game of Thrones. Prestige cable shows with long hiatuses tend to pick up viewers upon their return thanks to people discovering the show via streaming. So  how do you think it will fare tonight? Make your predictions below.

This show is for weird people and seniors. 0.4 if it’s lucky.

Some people must have some kind of vendetta against Mad Men for <0.6 to have the most votes. How could you hate this series?

  • Joel

This is a show for upscale income people over 50. the young people don’t understand or appreciate it although last nights episode was tedious.

    1.1 to 1.2

  • Spoiler Alert

1.4 for sure. I’d bet on it.

  • Guardian Owl

Because its not that exceptional and people get sick and tired of viewers proclaiming it to be the best thing in the history of the universe.

A lot of people probably tuned into AMC last night, expecting to see TWD. I guess a 1.5.

I previously had not watched Mad Men until last summer on-demand.
I had read how good Ep 12 was in Season 5 when
Lane (Jared Harris) committed suicide so I gave it a try.
I got hooked and have since watched all of season 5.
The show is unlikely to get new viewers but it is still possible.

@TheEnd,I have watched from the very beginning and loved it the first two seasons, but am losing interest. I don’t know, the characters just aren’t as interesting and last night even the work scenes seemed lacking. It just doesn’t hold me anymore and I am giving it the chance.
