@DougZ “Fox News $ 1,601.5—–In millions NBC news $725 million”

What on earth are you talking about?

    NBC’s total News revenue was over $2 Billion….that Billion with a “B”.

  • Jeff

Was Nancy Reagan on Fox News today?????

She called into msnbc today to discuss Margret Thatcher and her husbands relationship…..

    Nice try though……. Dumb Conservatives!

NBC is hurting, don’t believe those numbers. It is like a badly beaten fighter, he pretends to be okay. He doesn’t want his opponents to know how badly he’s been beaten. The corrupt, secular, left wing, so-called objective media is hurting. Every conservative I talk with says they will never tune in again. We are nearly 30% of the population! Another 15 to 25% are at least somewhat on our side. If they believe the corrupt, secular, left wing, so-called objective media is nothing more than the propaganda wing of the left they will see that 15-25% of viewers tune them out.

    Mark2

Prove it! You made your numbers up. NBC get revenue from lots of places.

Most of NBC News’ revenue is now generated by its cable news operations. The largest contributor is its cable business channel, CNBC. In 2011, the research firm SNL Kagan estimated that the cable business news channel’s revenue grew 6.4% to $725 million, up from $681.2 million in 2010. The general news channel, MSNBC, took in revenue of $409.3 million. CNBC World (an international business channel) had $23.3 million in revenue.

MSNBC has lost hundreds of thousands of viewers in last couple of months, shocking!

Mark2 you are right when you combine everything.

  • Jeff

    OUCH!!

Every network saw its ratings drop from 2012, a politics-heavy election year that was guaranteed to spike audiences. In primetime, Fox News suffered the biggest plunge, falling 33 percent from its 2012 numbers. CNN fell a nearly equally precipitous 28 percent, while MSNBC dropped 4 percent.

Fox News, which has had several well-publicized ratings issues over the past few months, saw its primetime numbers fall to new lows in the all-important A25-54 category for many shows. MSNBC gloated in its press release, saying that hosts Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren had their worst demo ratings ever. Bill O’Reilly’s demo ratings were also off by 26 percent. (All three shows were, of course, still at the top of the ratings.)

MSNBC topped CNN in total viewers and demo viewers, and saw a 30 percent increase in daytime viewers in the A25-54 demo

MSNBC gloated in its press release, saying that hosts Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren had their worst demo ratings ever. Bill O’Reilly’s demo ratings were also off by 26 percent.

    @DougZ

You’re such a rookie. If you would’ve read the follow on paragraphs, you wouldn’t have looked like such a dumbazz. But since you don’t like to read, I’ll just post it for you:

The broadcast operations of NBC News, PEJ estimated last year, brought in roughly $850 million in 2010, bringing NBC News’ total revenues to just under $2 billion.

If the broadcast revenue at NBC News grew at a rate under those of cable, but better than broadcast over all, roughly 1%, that would put revenues in 2011 at just under $860 million and NBC News’ overall revenues at just over $2 billion.

  • Mark2

@DougZ “Mark2 you are right when you combine everything.”

Well it’s about time to you figured out what I’ve been saying for over 2 weeks now.

The GOP turned out in force in spite of the fact that the GOP ads were nothing but FALSE advertising and lies. There simply aren’t enough right wing kooks anymore to float a boat. Ralph–it’s simply that the right wing ideology makes NO sense and increasingly fewer people buy it–basically racist old white guys, anarchists and anti-government types, religious fanatics and backward thinkers–and this base is dying out. The GOP has disenfranchised women, Hispanics, blacks, younger people, and many upscale whites , etc. This will be the extinction of the GOP UNLESS it changes and becomes more liberal but the right wingers actually believe the bunk their leaders say (which is good for the dems but bad for the GOP’s life cycle. The only hope the GOP has is to suppress the vote and gerrymander the voting districts and continue to run lots of false advertising and lies….but this won’t work either because the American people recognize a dinosaur when they see one…..

@Jeffie: I would never attempt to silence or have silenced someone with a very different opinion. You, however, are abusing the system here because of your OUTRIGHT LIES instead of opinion. You come up with facts and like “The Unpatriot,” use those phony facts in attempts to sway opinion to YOUR side. I’m wise to you and the other guys. You make those wacky apples v. tomatoes comparisons and all it does is to make whatever you write more unbelievable.

I started in radio news 41 years ago and during the times that I did NOT work in the business, I worked in government and politics on a local, county and state level. I don’t NEED to hand a cheeseburger through a window.

What are YOUR credentials, Mr. B.S.er?

  • Jim

Jeff get a freakin’ life you loser!!!

You know there is more to life than obsessing over cable news ratings.

Seriously, go and have a beer you joyless puritanical twat!!!

  • Mark2

    @DougZ

I hope you learned your lesson not to go cherry picking.

NBC News’ overall revenues at just over $2 Billion.

  • Ralph Hahn

@Mark2phony: Again, another bass-ackwards comparison. If you are going to compare Fox News to the entire NBC News broadcast and MSNBC cable operations, you may as well combine Fox Broadcasting & Fox News revenues if you are going to compare NBC News. “Today” is now second to GMA. “Tonight” is now barely making it since Kimmel started at 11:35. SNL is successful. But, the entire NBC Daytime and the rest of the Prime-time schedule is in the toilet. Fox Broadcasting has the best 18-49 numbers of the major 5 networks (now including Univision) and NBC comes in FIFTH, fewer viewers than CBS, FOX, ABC & Univision.

You write like you’re on crack cocaine. Grow up and drag your little buddy Jeffy with you, too.

  • Doug Z

Please, you are using NBC, MSNBc, CNBC,

I printed everything. Look. You did not read. It is all broken down for you.

@USA: As Reagan said to Walter Mondale, “There you go AGAIN.” People will watch the cable news channels that they like best. Others, with more time on their hands, may watch a differing point of view. You cannot write objectively here. Own up to the fact that Fox News is Number One, even if Obama won. And, he won because far-right conservatives stayed home because their candidate was not as conservative enough for them. The Independents voted for what they observed at the time as the lesser of the two evils. Democrats always vote Democrat. And it is the DEMOCRAT party that is alienating the Latino vote, not the GOP. From my experience, Democrat candidates are usually decided in the smoke-filled back rooms and not during a Primary runoff.
