there was a mistake at priliminary ratings ? 2 Broke girls and big bang theory got adjusted down 1.3 points… and 4 million viewers…

There was no mistake – we all knew that the preliminary ratings were useless for 2BG and TBBT since the NCAA final aired live everywhere.

    Yikes “Revolution”! :o

  • kbmv

That’s an incredible rating for the title game! 8.4, WoW! almost as much as the college football championship.

This year revolution is going to make it but next season it will be this year’s Smash. If NBC is smart they would cancel it now and spare the loses for next year.

Won’t be surprise if Revolution and the following add 1.5-1.7 rating 18-49 demo in live+7 on DVR!

  • John A

Would Revolution even get a 1.5 if aired without The Voice?

    Great for The Voice

American Idol being so bad this year has been good for The Voice. I know a lot of people giving The Voice another (or a first) shot after giving up on AI.

@Gio, I agree. I feel The Following is a much stronger program than Revolution. It has shown FOX that it is capable of standing on its own. It already has a loyal fanbase. Following a repeat of Bones with a 1.1 demo, it was still able to tie Revolution. Also it garnered more viewers than Revolution, even though The Voice’s last half hour had to pull in more than 15 million viewers.

The failure this season of American Idol has no correlation with the success of The Voice!

  • forg

And THIS is the reason why CBS is OK getting 1s initially with March Madness because once it approaches finals it gets HUGE ratings.

yeah great ratings for the game, almost equaled the 2010 ratings.

Damn Damn the Voice is really turning it up. Those are higher then season finale last year for the show. The biggest surprise to me is that NBC’s decision to air two Voices turned out to be nothing but a success. Everyone was criticizing the move. The biggest surprise are ratings are higher for this spring edition then the fall edition. Especially with daylights saving time. I have a feeling whats happening are viewers dissatisifed with Idol decided to tune into the Voice and they saw the WMWG and much better talent plus the new coaches have DYNAMIC CHEMISTRY. With these high ratings, great talent, and great chemistry they should keep this panel next season. IMO I really HOPE Christina Aguilera NEVER returns. Her rudeness, ego, and they way she treated Adam’s team members was awful. She was just extremely RUDE and I think thats how is in real life.

Now it’s pretty much safe to say The Voice has officially taken over American Idol. I’ll admit I was wrong concerning The Voice. Obviously they are doing something right that X Factor & American Idol are not. I’m going to guess people just don’t care about Nicki/Mariah & Demi/Simon fights. It just turns people off the show.

A very solid night for broadcast tv.

That’s pretty impressive for The Voice. Now can everyone see why I think NBC would be wise to schedule a comedy or two around it? Revolution’s steady, and if it levels off here, I think NBC would be wise to put it on another night. I’m very curious to see those L+7 ratings.

Also, I gotta wonder if this will carry over into the fall. If it does, NBC should definitely put some new comedies
(cough, the MJF show, cough) on Tuesdays rather than Thursday. It’ll dominate the night and then they can use what works there to launch a new night.

ABC’s gotta be worried that DWTS is dying. I’m sure it’s still cost effective, but its strength is greatly diminished.

Why would NBC want to move Revolution when it’s leveling off at “meh” numbers, already, after a huge lead-in? A move would probably kill it.

The Following – a 2.2 with a 1.1 lead in /// Revolution – a 2.2 with a 5.0 lead in…. Revolution is going to tank next season of it ever airs without The Voice to cushion it’s fall
