Ralphie–does the Constitution figure in your using your AR-15 to overthrow the government…and do you agree with the Clown La Pierre that criminals and lunatics should NOT have background checks?

  • Ralph Hahn

@1966: My deepest condolences to you and your family, along with my prayers for healing.

  • Freyja

    Ralph Hahn,

Just because one takes an oath doesn’t mean they follow it, all Politician’s are slimy bastards. There is so much criminal activity going on behind closed doors never take anything at face value and always question everything.

But yes I agree if they want to amend the Constitution, they would need to have it ratified by all 50 states. ;)

usa8888- I support the 2nd Amendment period! We have a right to protect ourselves. Oh wait I know your answer is to ask the criminal holding the knife to your throat, to wait a minute while you pee on yourself and hope he won’t rape you. ;)

  • usa8888

Freja–do you use your assault weapons (be they semi or automatic) to hunt deer? And do you agree with the Clown that lunatics and criminals should have no background checks?

  • Chriscee

Going to in sports heaven tonight in our home: Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets and Colorado Rockies all play tonight. YAY!!!

  • Ralph Hahn

@Freyja: I’ve worked for a lot of politicans on the state, county and local levels, including behind the scenes during election time.

Although it seems that the system and the people in it may seem corrupt, but I would guess maybe 95% of the politicians I have known or served under, are on the up & up.

Right now, we have the Executive branch controlling the Legislative branch and attempts to wreak havoc on the Judicial branch. It used to make Congress and state legislators proud to have secured a little extra money for a worthwhile community project, or handicapped ramps in all public offices. It was what people elected to serve a congressperson or state legislator…to do what they can for THEIR district. “Bringing Home The Bacon.” I wrote hundreds of news releases when our district was able to get a worthwhile project done without the local townspeople picking up 100% of the tab.

In my home state of New Jersey, we only get a fraction back of the tax money that we send to Washington, DC. So, I personally don’t view these trinkets as getting something that other people paid for. Most of our tax dollars go to the rotting cities.

But, ANY slimy bastard crooked politican that I had encountered, I didn’t learn they were corrupt until they were indicted.

  • 1966

thank you ralph Hahn vey much!!!!

  • Ratboy

1966, thanks for the background in the last room. He is in a better place and pain free! I will ask my mom dad and brother to show him around. :)

  • Laurence Glavin

Just to make it CLEAR: I purposely spelled Senator Paul’s name that way as a kind of portmanteau word. One of the best-known portmanteau words is “gerrymander”: a combination of the last name of Elbridge Gerry and the word “salamander”. I was merely pointing out that Senator Paul is appalling, which he is. What can one expect from one of America’s
    most depressed states?

  • usa8888

Chriscee–Mississippit doesn’t have any sports teeams but they do have a lot of bubbas who vote for right wingers…are you sure you wouldn’t fit in better in Mississippi?

  • Freyja

Sorry, I just don’t trust any politician period, I think most are on the take for something and no one really cares for the people. You won’t convince me there are any good politician’s left. The two party system is corrupt and broken and it needs to be fixed.

We need balance and order but that can’t happen until all lobbyists are thrown out on their butts. =) (but that is my opinion)

  • Ralph Hahn

@Freyja: As for politicans being slimy bastards, the citizens who elect our leaders, such a the top of the ticket in 2012, deserve the government they get in return. The biggest complainers are either not registered or don’t vote. Now, the American people want a president who is charismatic not experienced. I don’t know why we keep drawing Presidential candidates from the Senate. Unlike a Governor, a Senator has no sole responsibilty for actually running a government. Governors do have plenty of executive experience.

So, in this world of reality shows, the best Presidential candidates have to look good and be able to read the teleprompter well. And, like to fly all over the nation and the world just to preach “It’s the other party’s fault.”

  • Freyja

    @Ralph Hahn

I totally agree with you 100% on that…

I’ve been voting Independent/Libertarian since George Bush, sadly in the state of CA I you have to be a registered democrat or republican party to vote in the primaries.

  • Chriscee

@usaateateateate: you are a very very disturbed individual. You should seek help. Time for more ignoring of you.

  • Ralph Hahn

@Freyja: I can’t vanquish your opinion on politicians as a whole. I was just relating one honest person’s point of view from the “inside.” What I saw from the outside as a reporter covering politicians, it was pretty much the same from the inside.

  • AppleStinx

I was watching a Knicks game recently and who were their players? Carmelo, J.R. Smith, Kenyon Martin + 2. Even Camby was on the roster, but I think he was injured. Did the Nuggets move to New York and change name?

  • Chriscee

@ Freya..I vote for the candidate that I think can best take on the job. Here in Colorado you cannot be a registeted Independent either.

  • Chriscee

Lol @ apple…you would think so. Lol funny we played the Knicks and kick their behinds!!!

  • Chriscee

Rockies are off to good start until we went to San Fran for some reason they have have the Rockies figured out. Avalanche are almost done for the season and they won’t make the playoffs.

  • d.d.

I read your post with tears in my eyes. I’m with Rats. Your brother is now pain free & has gone to a better place. I hope you Google & watch the video I mentioned. I think it will help YOUR pain.

NY Gun Confiscation Underway – Citizens Told to Turn in Pistol Owner ID & Firearms
    – –

Remember all those who denied that firearms confiscation as a result of New York’s new gun laws was too “insane” to even consider?

There’s just one huge problem it is happening now in New York State!

Those folks having their weapons and FID cards confiscated have been discovered to have been prescribed multiple different types of psychotropic drugs, such as those for Depression or Anxiety.

Has anyone ever taken Xanax prior boarding a plane for air anxiety ? A sleeping pill ? A muscle relaxant ? Neurontin for poor circulation ? An antidepressant following a loss ? Tramadol, or something like it for pain ?

    You see where I’m going.
