    @Mickey O
    Good Morning Mickey
    I have no problem with have a background check

    We have had Background checks in Kentucky for many years. Some other States as well. Chicago has the strictest laws on record. They haven’t stopped any killings, in fact in places where the laws are the hardest? Detroit, Chicago? You get the picture.

    It’s all a joke, its an excuse for Uncle Sam to get you to comply and control you and be able to use any part of your life against you. (See Star Trek episode the “Borg”) “Comply or you will be assimilated”. :-)

    “You lose their information on the election in the mail,” he suggested when a student asked him how to keep Republicans from voting. “I mean there is lots of ways to do it [SIC].”

    and , on & on it goes.

    Will Obamacare Cost You Your Job?

    Motley Fool
    – –

    Your job could be in jeopardy if your employer fits into one of these three categories.

    1. Medical device companies

    Several medical device companies have already slashed jobs or are planning to do so because of Obamacare. Abbott Labs (began shedding the first of 1,900 jobs a few years ago.

    Stryker (NYSE: SYK ) executives placed blame squarely on the 2.3% medical device tax included in Obamacare as the reason for eliminating 5% of its workforce — 1,170 jobs

    However, other medical device makers still have possible staff reductions looming on the horizon. Medtronic (NYSE: MDT ) sent 500 employees home last summer and plans to cut another 500 jobs by the end of this year

    2. Small businesses

    Obamacare requires that employers with more than 50 full-time workers provide health care coverage for employees beginning in 2014. For some small businesses, the extra costs for this coverage are forcing tough decisions

    How significant are these risks of job losses from small businesses? Experts disagree, but the small businesses that appear to be most likely to face hard choices — those with 20 to 99 employees — account for more than 19 million jobs.

    3. Organizations that can easily outsource jobs

    There’s one way that companies can avoid the additional health care costs from Obamacare but still keep the same number of workers: outsource the jobs. An avenue for employers — large or small — to minimize added costs from Obamacare is to ship the jobs abroad

    Federal Reserve’s Beige Book noted recently that “employers in several Districts cited the unknown effects of the Affordable Care Act as reasons for planned layoffs and reluctance to hire more staff.”

    Even an economist lauded in the past by the White House, Moody’s Mark Zandi, says that the sluggishness in employment stems largely from small businesses not hiring because of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

    Hey, Rats,

    Did you read what I posted was in the McDonald McRib sandwich ??? (Monday Page 10)

    Yep I saw it! I don’t think they would stand up in my smoker!!!! I am about due to smoke up a mess of meat here if the weather ever gets better!! I have about a dozen slabs of REAL ribs just waiting in the freezer! I am also going to be smoking a whole hog for my neighbor’s son’s graduation. My son is coming up from Ohio to assist. I have a smoker on wheels all set up but what scares me is if I really like it……………I will buy one!!! Now I ask you, What the hell would I do with it?…………………WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE COOOOOOOL! :lol:

    By the way, I have always hated the McRib! I thought then and I think now that they are nasty! Even the sauce sucks!

    Rats,

    I’ve never had a McRib because I don’t eat fast foods, but, after reading how they are made, & out of what , I’m glad I’ve avoided them. I do love smoked ribs, brisket , etc. done the old fashioned way. We do about 500 chickens for our club’s 4th of July celebration . It’d be neat to have a large smoker like yours.

    We don’t eat fast food very often anymore, but I did eat a MicRib once, and I emphasize once.

    A bunch of us are working to get BlazeTV on DirecTV. So far they are resisting, but as Jeff says “resistance is futile!” They will carry it soon. They are getting blitzed with calls to carry it every day now.

  • Moncon

    @Ratboy
    I bought my hubby a starter smoker for christmas. He is ready to get some nice weather going to give it a try. He did make his own Moose jerky this last weekend. Not too bad, my son took some to school and came home empty so hubby was happy.

    CNN is reporting a that one missile has already been moved into its “firing position.”

  • Chriscee

    We have Direct TV but we bought the Roku box so we can watch Glenn Beck TV. We too have called Direct TV requesting Glenn Beck TV. I don’t think it will be long before they have to give in.

    I read today where Beck is pushing to take down the Mainstream Media. I hope he succeeds.

    Also I had Onstar in my 2012 Chevy Silverado truck….and Sirius/XM Radio. After they took off channel 126 I cancelled. That channel carried Kilmeade, John Gibson,Tom Sullivan and a few others.

    I will not renew my sirius/xm. Not that they care..but they keep calling with “deals.” I just keep hanging up after I tell them to bring back the channel.

  • Coffee Steve

    @Chriscee

    Morning Chriscee
