I don’t know if this is the correct place to voice my opinion on CBS This Morning, but I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to turn on this morning show and get the days news instead of some game being played or some teenage “celebrity” (and I use the term loosely). Your show (Gail King) is the best according to my demographic. All my Boomer friends (I am 64) watch your show for the professionalism, attention to the days news and all-around adult morning news program. Please keep up the good work. We ARE the majority of the viewers now!

I used to be a Good Morning America fan, but my husband and I can no longer stand the prattle that goes on between so many co-hosts, each jockeying for the last word or the cutest phrase. Please continue with your news platform and don’t copy the type of chatter that occurs elsewhere. Professionalism and quality journalism still count!

In my opinion, there is not a good news program in the morning. Good Morning America seems to lean towards tabloid TV, CBS has Gail King and is just very boring. NBC has just ruined themselves with the Ann Curry controversy and I find their show to be ‘slow’.

On the other hand, my opinion of the nightly newcasts for these networks are greatly different. It is amazing how money directs how these programs develop and change over time. The initial intention was to inform the public of what was happening in their country and how it can affect them, their family and community, their future, and what they should be concerned about. Now we are forced to worry about someone’s dress and another’s haircut, and who married whom, and who is gay.

    Why is that?
