via press release:

Wednesday Primetime Results:
  • From 8-9 p.m. ET, “Dateline NBC” (1.2/4 in 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall) grew from its first half-hour to its second by 8 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.3 rating from a 1.2), by 13 percent in adults 25-54 (1.7 vs. 1.5) and by 9 percent in total viewers (5.5 million vs. 5.0 million), in a highly competitive time-period versus Fox's "American Idol," CBS's "Survivor" and ABC's "The Middle."  "Dateline" was up versus NBC's season average in the time period prior to "Dateline" by 30 percent in total viewers (5.257 million vs. 4.059 million).
  • At 9 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.0/3 in adults 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall) grew from its first half-hour to its second by 11 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.0 from a 0.9).  Keep in mind that last season, “Law & Order: SVU” originals added an average of 47 percent to these next-day “live plus same day” ratings in 18-49 when Nielsen reported “live plus seven day” results.
  • At 10 p.m. ET, a special Wednesday rebroadcast of last week's Hannibal premiere (0.9/3 in adults 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall) retained 90 percent of its lead-in in adult 18-49 rating and retained 97 percent of that lead-in in viewers 18-49 (1.191 million viewers 18-49 vs. 1.233 million viewers).  In adult 25-54 rating, "Hannibal" retained its full lead-in of a 1.2, and in men 25-54 rating, "Hannibal" built on its lead-in (to a 1.1 from a 1.0).

Hopefully it builds on Go On, if it does that by a good amount it has a decent shot at returning. Revolution and Chicago Fire are definites to return too.

Significant retention is a good sign. A .9 for a rebroadcast seems good, too. Hopefully this week the show will go up rather than down, although the odds say down as most shows do after their premiere. The question will be how far down.

    Certain renewal? ;-) :-)

I tuned in for the first episode thinking it was about the real Hannibal- was hoping for something spartacus-esque but got some kinda weird dexter-lite instead……

The pilot disappointed me. So boring!
