Andrew Malcolm over at Investors Business Daily has compiled a list of lies Americans were told and continue to be told about Barack Obama and Democrats’ signature healthcare law referred to as Obamacare

    List below:

    • Remember how ObamaCare was going to save you money? A lie

    • Remember how ObamaCare was going to cover more than 44 million uninsured Americans? LIE

    • Remember how ObamaCare was not going to add “one single dime” to costs? LIE

    • Remember how last year the Supreme Court, lead by a cowed Chief Justice John Roberts, finally settled in the affirmative the legality of ObamaCare’s core individual mandate, which takes effect next January?

(As a tax, after Obama lied on national television and said it wasn’t a tax.)

    • Remember how ObamaCare was going to be paid through a variety of new taxes including one on medical devices, an area in which American inventors and entrepreneurs are world pioneers? LIE.

    • Remember the 50 complex state healthcare exchanges that were going to offer competitive plans for individuals to purchase starting in October? According to the Supreme Court, Obama cannot force states to participate.

    • Remember Obama’s oft-made promise?

“No matter how we reform health care,” he vowed, “we will keep this promise: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what.” LIE

Malcolm provides the details for each individual statement and promise made above and shows that none of it going to happen, none of it was true.

    All lies.

How many times have you read financial-advice stories lecturing you to max-out on your IRA, save as much as you can in your 401(k), and even pay taxes now to change your regular IRA into a Roth IRA that will be tax-free until you die?

Well, be careful how much you save.

That’s the message in President Obama’s budget for fiscal 2014, which for the first time proposes to cap the amount Americans can save in these tax-sheltered investment vehicles. The White House explanation is that some people have accumulated “substantially more than is needed to fund reasonable levels of retirement saving.” So Mr. Obama proposes to “limit an individual’s total balance across tax-preferred accounts to an amount sufficient to finance an annuity of not more than $205,000 per year in retirement, or about $3 million for someone retiring in 2013.”

Thus do our political betters now feel free to define for everyone what is “needed” for a “reasonable” retirement. Not to be impertinent, but does this White House definition include being able to afford summers at age 70 at Martha’s Vineyard near the Obamas?

The feds may think $3 million is all you need after a lifetime of work, but that’s roughly the value of a California police sergeant’s pension if she works for 30 years, retires at age 50 and lives to normal life expectancy.

    ATTN: MY PEEPS:

The usual bonehead robots who past the same s#it everyday are making “cameo” appearnces today as Liz, JimBob, Adam & Joe. But, I’m sure that you’ve already guessed that. Might as well ignore them. They are NOT new people. The proof is in the writing.

Durbin, Obama linked to defunct Chicago nonprofit under investigation

Democratic Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin urged a Senate subcommittee chairman to appropriate $1 million in federal funds for a Chicago nonprofit that is now under investigation for potential fraud, according to documents obtained by The Daily Caller.

Durbin’s relationship with Chicago’s embattled Save-A-Life Foundation began in the mid-1990s and continued for at least several years, with Durbin even being listed as a member of the foundation’s “Advisory Council,” according to documents obtained by TheDC.

President Barack Obama also had a relationship with Save-A-Life during his tenure as an Illinois state senator and U.S. senator, meeting with the organization’s founder and earning praise from the Foundation as a legislator who was “always supportive” of its publicly-funded efforts.

Hmm? Adam and Joe. Wait for Ben and Hoss to rear their heads soon. LOL!

From the moderators’ point of view, it’s easier for posters to get a gravatar than for them to moderate on a continuous basis.

I see the Libs here can’t have a reasonable discussion without name calling. Typical, they preach about tolerance but don’t practice it.

*yawn* wake me when they grow up and be mature.

    Coffee ,

Re: Jake Tapper reporting on Dr. Kermit Gosnell before today , I wasn’t aware of it. I had emailed him this morning requesting he report the story.

    -
    @Chriscee
Along with Jake Tapper…..Sheryl Atkinson is another one who isn’t afraid to report the lies and distortions from Obama and his democrats.

I agree that Atkinson is a great reporter. She had top notch reporting on ‘Fast & Furious ‘ & Benghazi , I also emailed ABC today & told them to do their job & report the Gosnell story. If you haven’t read The Atlantic article , “Why Dr. Kermit Gosnell’s Trial Should Be a Front-Page Story” it’ll tell you more than you’ll ever want to know.

Then you have this in Delaware.

‘Meat-market’: Planned Parenthood nurses allege filthy, dangerous conditions

    Apr 10, 2013

So far, one abo rtionist and two employees have left Planned Parenthood in Wilmington, Delaware, as a result of the scandal over five botched abo rtions since January 4, and overall filthy practices
……refused to wear gloves, surgical instruments were reused without being cleaned, and ‘bloody drainage’ remained on abo rtion tables between procedures, exposing women to blood-borne diseases

@ Apple…exactly why I took a pic of something that belongs to me….and they can’t use it.

Ratboy and Ralph…please get a gravatar. We know when you type..how you type..but please think about getting one.

  • Chriscee

d.d I agree….that Dr. Gosnell trial is disgusting. He is a very very sick man. But the MSM seems to be protecting him.

The man deserves the electric chair.

  • Ralph Hahn

@AppleStinx: Do you believe this new rule? I hardly ever clip and paste, and after two days doing it, the system is changed. After ALL of the lengthy manifestos I had to scroll through.

The Obama tax rate was posted by the Evil Bizarro Phony Ralph Hahn, not me.

Just saw and Coulter and Grover Norquist battle it out over immigration. It was two against one, Kudlow and Norquist are in favor of more immigration In both the high skilled and low skilled workers, while Coulter was against it. I had no idea Grover Norquist and Kudlow were so liberal on that issue.

  • Chriscee

d.d. I’m shocked that the Atlantic…being a left leaning magazine would even think to ask MSM to cover this.

  • Rod D

    @ Ralph Hahn

Why do the Obamas pay only an effective rate of just 18.4%?

Because they gave over $150,000 to charity.

I suspect if you were as generous as the Obamas are to charity, your effective tax rate would be as low as theirs.

  • Ralph Hahn

Good idea, Chriscee. I’ll will figure that out over the weekend. I am now LEAVING THIS SITE until Monday afternoon when the Friday numbers are released. You GOOD people out there have a great weekend. ANY posts from a Ralph Hahn posted here until Monday afternoon are not to be believed. Aloha.

The no-hyperlink rule has been in place since the site recovered from the attack last month(?). I think you’re allowed to post a web address in any way that doesn’t hyperlink.
